"Yes, how may I help you?" the attendant asked.
"I would like to apply for a job as a Hunter here..." Kazuo said with confidence, feeling nervous.
"Well, it's not that simple. We need to pull your file, give you a checkup, and other things. You could be here for a week just getting checked." she said.
Kazuo stared at her. He had no file, as he was a Human before.
"Name?" the attendant asked.
"Ka... Nobu Kazuo." Kazuo said.
The attendant looked at him weird, before searching his name on the Database. She got a match.
"Um, sir, the match for this name is a human. Using somebody else's ID is a crime..." she was saying.
Before she could finish, Kazuo started talking.
"But that's who I really am!" he insisted, with worry in his voice.
"I'm sorry, but please leave..." she said.
Kazuo, saddened, slunked away. His body was dragging like a drunk. On his way outside, he ran into Kazuma.
"... Who are you, boy?" he demanded.

"What are you talking about." Kazuma asked.
Kazuo stared at Juno, then at Kazuma. R aimed his Blaster at him, and Axl aimed two Pistols at him.
"You know exactly what..." Axl said.
R stared at Kazuma. This man who R thought to simply have a tormented life, who he wanted to befriend and try to make him better, was the traitor. His hand shook slightly.

"Oh... Okay..." he said baking away scared.
Kazuma pulled out a blade. "Pointing your arms at a fellow Hunter, maybe you're the Mavericks!" Kazuma said. R grabbed his Blaster tightly.
"... Bullshit." R said. He came to the conclusion. His eyes don't lie, as he is accustomed to picking out hoaxes.

"... So the jig's up..." Kazuma said. He raised a small device from his left hand, and shot a beam of electricity at R, Juno, and Axl. He then ran out of the base.

Vivian rushed through the front doors and ran up to the attendant with the injured boy in her arms. Before the attendant could talk, Vivian opened her mouth. "I need to take this boy to the Infirmary quick. It was my fault that he got like this..." Vivian said.
The attendant saw the boy as he had several burnt marks, cuts, and blood coming from all of the wounds. Vivian's hands and arms had blood on them from carrying him. "...Ah, well I can call up the Emergency Room to get him but I don't know if I should let you in--"
"...I'm Vivian White, daughter of Dr. Gerald White of the R&D Department." Vivian interrupted, " Now's not the time to explain myself. Please, let me through..." She said with a serious look. The attendant couldn't possibly shorten the child's life by sitting here trying to keep things under control. The boy would surely die by the time the medics arrived. "I don't have the authority to let you through because you are related to Dr. White but you look serious. Just hurry over to the Infirmary. If you are his daughter, then you should know where the infirmary is..."
"...Thank you!" Vivian sighed in relief. Since she was here when she was a little girl, she knew where the Infirmary was. She zooms pass the front desk.

Tomas stopped before the door and caught his breath and slowly compose himself. He knew his act wouldn't work her, or maybe it would, but at the moment he did not know for sure. He took a slight moment to think and against his better judgement he huffed up his chest and pushed the door open. He was expecting some security sensor to beep in protest as he entered but so far, nothing. Well that was a short lived panic, he thought to himself. He walked up to the desk and looked at the attendant. She looked terribly busy and nearly leapt out of her seat by the sight of Tomas's immense armor. If only she knew how massive constructions suits were in comparison to his own suit but he let the thought dance away silently. He clicked on the external speakers and leveled his look at the attendant who strained her smile to her widest.
"Excuse me, but i just came in from the . . . Downtown area i think? anyways a woman told me that a Reploid was rushing her child her to the emergency room. Did the Reploid pass by here?" Tomas started.
The attendant looked at him and her smile turned genuine. "Why yes she did! Should i tell her you stopped by?"
Tomas shook his head. "No, i'd actually prefer to go see her in person."
"Oooooh, well i'm sorry but you don't have the right authorization! Unless you are a hunter or a visitor i can't let you in." The attendant said sweetly which made Tomas cringe.
Tomas wanted to smile but he knew his helmet would show nothing. "Alright, and if i were a visitor would i have access to the emergency room?"
"Why yes you would!" The attendant smiled.
"Good, i'd like a visitors pass please." Tomas said almost enthused.
"I need your ID, sir." The attendant said meekly and Tomas frowned.
"Why do you need an ID in order to be a visitor? I mean . . . yes i am carrying a big gun, but if you people were against that the alarms would have went off. I should be able to get a pass and go into the base." Tomas argued, baffled at the system.
The attendant meekly put up her hands in defense. "I am sorry, but that's the rules here."
"Okay, can i get a temporary ID then?" Tomas nearly rolled his eyes.
The attendant smiled. "Why yes you can! Just-"
Tomas put up a finger. "Let me guess, another building, and not here. Am i right?"
After a quick nod from the attendant Tomas nearly broke down, leaning on the desk with his upper body. After several curses he raised his body up and looked the attendant square in the eyes. He was going to blow into this place someway and it was going to be five seconds ago.
"Okay, do you know who i am?" Tomas said quickly.
The attendant blinked and shook her head. "No . . . but-"
"I am the extreme top of the branch of the Maverick Hunters, my identity is so secret that even finding out where my name is, is secret." He hoped he could bluff this Reploid by brute force. "If you don't let me in, then you are committing an act of treason which is answerable to the commander of this base. I am so black ops that my entire file has to be blacked out before you can even BEGIN to read it. Now i am telling you, to let me through so i can do one simple small tiny little thing. If you don't let me through then the commander will have your head and you will be answerable to him.
The attendant nearly shrunk from the verbal abuse, his bluff worked excellently. "Y-yes sir! Sorry sir! i had no idea! You can pass through now!"
"Excellent, keep up the good work, you may get a promotion someday." Tomas finished and walked by the front desk.
The attendant stared at him as he walked by, his gait purposeful, and she almost let out a dreamy sigh. Maybe she would become an operator like the other three. Tomas shook his head as he shut off the external speakers and went deeper into the Reploid base. That almost seemed too easy, but then again there were always Black Ops in government areas. And it wasn't far from the truth, he looked at his own file and the whole thing was completely black. He hoped to follow the Reploid from the town area and find out what happened, and maybe get into the library if he could.

"Feh, kid, we need to know who you are..." R said.

The Flaming Champion arrives at HQ. He walks up to the Front Desk. The attendant greeted him. "Hello Magnus. Checking in?" She asked him with a bright smile. Magnus smiled also. "Yeah. I thought I'd go and speak with Commander Signas for something. So much has been going on lately that it's hard to stay around HQ now. Well, I'll see you later..."
Magnus passed up the desk and proceeds forward to talk to Signas.
[To Command Post]

Now that he had a long, tired day, Magnus decides to leave HQ to go home but as he stated with Commander Signas, he wanted to check something out before he went home. Right when he passed up the desk, he noticed two people coming his way. "...Eh?" He said sounding tired with his eyes halfway closed.
Vivian came in and saw someone from a distance. "Is that...Magnus?!" She said surprised.

Tomas merely stood next to her and tilted his head looking over the man at the desk. He couldn't tell at first glance but Thor was already doing a comparison and spotted a few similarities. If anything it was either another Cyborg or the guy she was looking for. He gently nudged her on the shoulder and held out his arms slightly.
"Here, give me the kid. I'll hold him while you go talk to Magnus, i'll be close by so don't worry." He hoped to hell that his voice at the very least sounded trust worthy to her.

"Alright." Vivian responded to Tomas. She handed over the boy and ran over to Magnus.
Magnus saw the female coming towards him. "That girl...She looks familiar..." He said to himself. Vivian finally got to Magnus. "Uh...Hey Magnus..." She was still thinking back on what Tomas was saying. She had second thoughts about putting her hand on the Valkyrie and pulling it out to Magnus's face but she decided not to.
Magnus was looking confused. "Uh...Hi? Who are you?" He asked. Vivian forgot that they haven't seen each other since the day they were separated by Scar. And now that she is pretty much grown up and a bit different looking, of course he wouldn't remember. She always remembered he was absent-minded and forgets things easily. "It's me...Vivian!" She said loudly.
Magnus was wide-eyed for the moment. "Vi-Vivian?!! But...I heard you disappeared...You're...just like me. A Cyborg...What the hell happened to you...?" Magnus asked. Vivian explained to Magnus what happened to her over the years she was with Scar.
The Flaming Champion pondered his thoughts for a few seconds. "Scar...That bastard. It's a good thing I destroyed him when I did. So, why are you here? You aren't a Maverick Hunter..." He asked as he pulled out a cold drink and started drinking. Vivian had pointed over to Tomas and the boy. "In my search for you, this boy got hurt by a Maverick called Dragon Xeyon--"
"DRAGON XEYON?!" He yelled in rage. "HE'S awake?! Dammit...I heard about how terrible his power is nor have I ever met him before but...grr..." He continued his rage. Vivian was so confused at Magnus's sudden outburst.
Posted 07 December 2009 - 12:27 AM
Tomas drove his words almost as if they were a shovel into soft peat. He obviously knew without a doubt that Dragon Xeyon was the assassin, or worse yet working with the assassin. And if that were the case the truth needed to be exposed to the surface.

Vivian was puzzled at the story. "Go on..." She suggested. Magnus nodded and continued. "Well, his goal is to annihilate the humans and reploids, Alfred's dream. He kills innocent people and disappears in the shadows right after. Vivian, you got lucky...He would have killed you and destroyed Downtown, killing everyone in sight. He's way too dangerous to fight alone..." He concluded.
