Posts I've Made
05 August 2013 - 10:56 PMthat actually makes sense to an extent. However, X and the reploids are exempt from Asimov's laws, whereas it is never defined whether Proto Man is or isn't.
In the North American translation of Mega Man 7, we see Mega Man showing signs of evolution when he is about to actually kill Dr. Wily. Meaning that he came very close to breaking Asimov's laws of robotics. So in retrospect, Mega Mam, Proto Man and Bass could all be considered early forms of Advanced Robots.
05 August 2013 - 10:12 AMalright, the first act is complete. Gonna take a day or 2 off. If anybody is even interested. I know it isn't perfect but its a first draft. Gonna be errors as well as plot holes.
05 August 2013 - 10:10 AMScene 6: A strange occurrence.
Location: Maverick Hunter HQ/Cain Towers
We see Vile shackled in a jail cell, a saddened Dr. Cain and Sigma are speaking with him.
Dr. Cain: Well Vile, do you have anything to say in your defence before the decision is finalized.
Vile: Yeah, I do actually. You can’t create a monster and cry when it steps on a few humans.
Dr. Cain: I didn’t create a monster, I created a body and a mind. The path in life you have taken was of your own free will. I am sorry that you chose the path you did, but now if you feel any remorse for your actions feel free to express it. Goodbye Vile.
Sigma steps inside the cell and draws his sword, we cut to the outside of the cell and hear a slash, followed by the sound of metal hitting the ground, we cut to the main hall of the HQ a little later, a large corridor full of hunters. X and Zero are looking on a large radar screen.
Zero: Maverick activity has increased 10 fold this year, they are getting more violent.
X: I don’t understand the mass increase. 75% of Mavericks are the result of defects and short circuits. Can Cain Labs be screwing up this much?
Zero: I don’t know X, but lets just hope it stops soon.
We see blip on the radar. X and Zero get it’s attention.
X: Woah, huge signature of energy at Cain Towers.
Zero: Call it in, I’ll get the chasers.
X grabs a radio
X: We have a very large energy signature at Cain Towers, awaiting confirmation.
Maverick Hunter Dispatch: Copy Maverick Hunter X, Good luck.
X runs outside, where Zero pulls up on a Ride Chaser. Behind him, being towed via a magnetic device is the 2nd Chaser. X hops on and they ride off into the neon lit city.
Scene 7: Everything Crumbles
Location: Cain Towers.
X and Zero pull up to Cain Towers, a massive sky scraper with a compound around it. This is where all the heavy mechaniloids are stored. An odd site are Bee Copters constantly landing and leaving the top of the tower, and a rather large scaffold is being built on the side of the building.
X: Zero, what the hell is going on?
Zero calls the HQ back on his earpiece thing
Zero: HQ this is Maverick Hunter Zero, run a check on a scaffolding project scaling the top half of Cain Towers for me.
We hear nothing on the earpiece.
Zero: HQ, Respond!
Zero taps the earpiece and gives up
Zero: No transmission. X try your headset.
X uses his radio in an attempt to contact HQ
X: HQ, This is Maverick Hunter X do you copy?
Dead air still.
X: No good.
Zero: I don’t like this X, maybe we should head back.
Suddenly a air raid siren goes off. X and Zero arm their weapons. Several bee copters launch from the hangars.
X: What the?
the bee copters all fly out towards the city, the sounds of bombs dropping and explosions flood the airwaves suddenly, the radio on the Ride Chaser turns on.
Radio Dispatcher: Maverick Hunter X, Maverick Hunter Zero. Return to HQ immediately.
Zero: What’s going on?
Dispatcher: It’s all out war in here, we could use your help! Mavericks, their everywhere! 100s of them! Robots, Mechaniloids, Reploids and Hunters! We are completely overrun! Please get here Qui…
We hear a loud smash noise, followed by the steps of ride armor, the sound of electricity and concrete being smashed.
X: let’s go!
the two hop on their chasers and run through downtown, it’s all out chaos. Civilian Humans and Reploids are being attacked by mavericks. Some are being shot, others are being jumped and mauled. Glass is bursting out of buildings. Humans are being pulled out of their cars. One man, has a pistol and is trying to defend himself when a Reploid with a rifle knocks him down, he is about to execute the human when X and Zero run the machine down.
Zero: X this doesn’t look good, you need to get to the Central Highway NOW! There has to be hundreds if not thousands of innocent people trying to escape the city. Go and escort them to safety, fight off any threats you see. I’ll meet up with you there soon, I gotta get to HQ and see if I can get some back up. Think you can handle it X?
X: I’ll do the best that I can.
Upon reaching the fork in the road, X takes an off ramp to the Central Highway, while Zero rushes on forward through the path of destruction. We see X’s engine burn out at the Highway, and he dismounts it. Before he walks away he hears a transmission via the emergency broadcast station.
Radio: Warning, Warning Abel City’s Maverick Hunter’s can no longer hold the city, evacuate at once. If evacuation is not an option, seek shelter. We will not abandon you, repeat, we will not abandon you. All Maverick Hunters report to the city limits, do not directly engage the enemy, there are too many of them.
X runs across the highway, blasting Crusher’s as Car’s race across.
X: Hurry! There isn’t much time!
Suddenly, a Bee Copter lowers it’s self and begins attacking X, X dodges a few missles and blasts it in the head with a charge shot, causing it to lose control and crash into the bridge. The bridge falls and X jumps and wall clings. He jumps back up. Cars are rushing at him.
X: NO! STOP!
The cars don’t stop, in fact they speed up. X shoots small buster shot’s at the front end in an attempt to disable the cars, it succeeds and the cars come to a slow stop. However one teeters over the edge and explodes.
X: Take the service walk way! Hurry, you have to get out of here before time runs out!
Human Survivor: Thank you, we heard the broadcast. I have to ask, what is going on.
X: I don’t know, just get out of here now!
We see the humans walking along a path for service personnel as X runs across the highway to assist other civilians. Cut to Zero as he pulls into Maverick Hunter HQ, chaos. We have Hunters fighting Hunters, Small mechaniloids jumping bystanders. Bat Bones swarming people. We see a group of 4 B-Class humanoid Reploids holding behind a truck. Zero walks over to them, fires a few shots and gets to cover.
Hunter #1: Oh thank goodness! Commander Zero, are you okay?
Zero: I’m fine, care to explain how HQ get wrecked so easily?
Hunter #1: It just happened so fast, somebody let Vile out, and the next thing we knew our own men were attacking us! Reploids, Small Service Mechaniloids! We didn’t know who to shoot and who not to! We thought we were safe! Boomer Kuwanger and Chill Penguin appeared, but…they THEY FIRED AT US! They just started killing people.
Zero: Dammit! Where is Storm Eagle?
Suddenly, we hear a loud engine hovering above the HQ, it flies out to the street and turns around.
The Death Rogumer appears, massive and armed to the teeth. The B-Class Hunters pull out a large Rocket Launcher, one tries to run out into the open to fire it, but Zero stops her.
Zero: Don’t bother, that thing won’t scratch the Death Rogumer. It’s one of the most expensive aircraft we have. Good for air conflict, urban pacification and Air assault…and the enemy has got it.
The Death Rogumer opens fire with a barrage of missiles. Completely obliterating HQ, then it begins dropping troops, Hoganmers Degravers, Batton Bones and more in large numbers.
Zero and the hunters bolt out of cover and attempt to run away. One of the Hunters is smashed by a Hoganmer, while the other is swarmed and dragged away by Batton Bones. One Remaining hunter is shot down by machine gun fire from the Rogumer. Zero and the remaining Hunter hop on his Ride Chaser, but suddenly the Female Hunter is pulled off the bike by a long object and impaled on a sharp tail, then dropped. Zero hops off the bike and charges his Z-Buster, the enemy appears from invisibility and it’s sting chameleon.
Zero: Sting Chameleon…A-Class Hunter, you sicken me!
Zero goes to fire his Z-Buster, but is caught by a wave of fire. A fire wave if you may, we see Flame Mammoth roar into the sky. Zero sees the Death Rogumer, it has him in his sites but hesitates to fire, Zero takes this opportunity and escapes through an alleyway, The Rogumer turns the other way and flies forward. We cut back to X who is destroying Road Attackers near a gas pump station. Suddenly, he sees the Death Rogumer.
X: What the?
Suddenly, the loading dock platform lowers itself and we see Vile drop in a ride armor.
Vile: Oh, this is something I have been waiting to do for a long time!
X charges his buster and fires, Vile is knocked back a bit, but then dashes and punches X right in the stomach. Before dropping a fist on his back. X tries to shoot Vile with uncharged shots, but Vile grabs his arm and crushes his X Buster, he lifts X up with the Ride Armour by that same arm and whips him down to the ground. Vile stomps on X, who is trying to scream in pain, but it sounds all garbled and glitchy. X recovers and shoots Vile directly with a charge shot, but this just pisses him off. Vile shoots a debilitating ball of energy from his shoulder cannon, before grabbing X by the torso and squeezing. Sparks begin to shoot out of X as Vile tightens his grip.
Vile: You worthless piece of scrap metal! You honestly think you had a chance at defeating me? DIE X!
Vile grabs X’s leg with his other arm and begins to pull, we see some of the metal begin to weaken around X’s torso, but suddenly a buster shot blows one of the ride armour’s arms off and knocks Vile back, Zero dashes in and stands in front of X, he charges his Z-Buster again, but Vile jumps into a lowering Death Rogumer and escapes, Zero watches the Rogumer fly into the distance.
X: Guess I’m not strong enough to defeat him..
Zero: X, Vile is nothing more than a machine built for war .All you can hope for is to fight hard and grow more powerful;.
Suddenly, a tonne of Bee Copters hover above the bridge and a barrage of missiles crushes the concrete. Zero grabs X and dashes across the bridge. Suddenly a loud electric like noise is heard, as is that of machinery. A huge EMP field expands over the city. Zero and X barely escape it. We zoom out and see Abel City in ruins, fire, screams, machines flying and marching about. The Death Rogumer, Bee Copters and many air force machines float above. X looks at the massive Cain tower. Zero does too, and they zoom in with their optics. Watching the chaos with glee is Sigma.
X: No…that can’t be!
04 August 2013 - 10:29 AMif anything, Wily should fake his death for good so he can get to work on Zero and Bass can become the final boss. either that or King II
03 August 2013 - 07:31 AMto be honest, I am mixed on MHX's tracks. Boomer Kuwanger, Chill Penguin and Flame Mammoth's themes sounded really great in the game, but other tracks like Storm Eagle's theme and Spark Mandriller's theme were a let down. Not a bad soundtrack, and im not going to sit here and say that it's a piece of shit. The game's ost had a lot to live up to and I won't gripe that it didn't surpass the original. MHX's ost was pretty much everything one could expect from a remade OST. Prime Example is comparing Mega Man X3 on Snes to Mega Man X3 on PS1 and Saturn, the original SNES kills it. It's quite possibly my favorite video game OST of all time (Along with Chrono Trigger and F-Zero)
I liked X2's OST, such themes as the opening theme and the intro stage really stick with me.
You're vision captured the MHX style quite well, I was let down by bubble crab and Wheel Gator. In fact I assumed Bubble Crab would have actually sounded more like Duff McWhalens theme, similar to how the Sigma Fortress Boss Battle in MHX was similar to Rangda Bangda W's theme. I respect that you did your own twist, but i dont know it just didn't work for me.
Morph Moth was good despite it's slower feel than the original, Crystal Snail was pretty much right on. Wire Sponge, eh I dont know. The Boss themes were great, can't wait for the X-Hunter battle theme.
