http://www.youtube.c...h?v=0y8F0dQM1DI. . .tis awesome :awesome:
Anyways, many people say it plays like the God of War series (even though the GoW games copied the combat system from the Devil May Cry series and i think both of these games are awesome as well). But I for one don't really care for having the same combat system because this new Castlevania game looks awesome and we finally get to see this franchise on the Next-gen consoles, but minus the Wii version called Judgement or something. . .Anyways Patrick Stewart is narrating the story!!! :awesome:

Personally I've also enjoyed the 2D Castlevania titles a bit more than the 3D ones as well, although a couple of the 3D ones were pretty good - I'm probably one of the few people who actually enjoyed the N64 ones when they came out, despite their poor play control! Still, these days even the 2D CV games have been getting a bit stale (very predictable plot elements and the game-play has been the same old recycled crap), so they really need to kick it up a notch in both the 2D and 3D realms in my opinion. Like you, I'm a bit skeptical, especially since this game wasn't originally designed as a Castlevania game... :xpity:

Anyways after playing Lament of Innonece on the ps2, the 3D castlevania changed my point of view forever because i actually enjoyed it. :awesome:

Here's a tiny statement from Konami that talks about the artistic styles of this new Castlevania game:
Tries to stay Mainstream here.
Now from my understanding Castlevania always have those pale-skinned pretty boys running amok that almost resembles those vampires from the Twilight movies (which I never watched). Now I have a lot of respect for the franchise but I think it's a good thing they changed the art style to look more realistic and more vampire(ish). It's funny though, fans are already complaining about it now because it looks too Western for their taste. But hey ya can't win 'em all. (Read post #7).
Besides have anyone ever notice that the combat system in most Castlevania games were kind of weak? Yeah sure the most important aspect of it was the FLOW OF THE ADVENTURE, which was great but we need more than that. I think they new combat system in LoS will attract more people to play this game!!

I have a feeling that most of these most boss fights are gonna feel like Devil May Cry, God of War, Rygar, Bayonetta AND MOSTLY Shadow of the Colossus for some reason. Kojima Productions and Mercury Stream are really point some work on this game!!!

Not that i dislike kojima´s artstyle, on the contrary, i LOVE it, its very dark and gothic and fitting, but just not for this game.

why are you so surprised? it has different box art, and contains a LoS Artbook, and a soundtrack.
And the EU version gets a Mask instead of the Artbook.

As for any Castlevania news...just none so far. All we have to do now is play the waiting game.
