When the Starforce series main premise of surfing radio waves got announced, I had a slight hope for a new game mechanic. It looks like my hope will never be realized, but I'll share it for the sake of either being praised or hazed.
First off, if you think gimmicky toys like the Barcode Battler, where you could scan in barcodes to make monsters, were utter garbage, you probably are gonna see this as a bad idea from the start. Basically, the game would be sold with a GBA attachment that actually tuned in AM/FM radio waves. A variety of options could then be used in game with this, from using your DS as your own personal radio player, to the game recording whatever a station is playing and converting the sound data into enemy-formations, so there would be a nearly limitless amount of enemy formation types you could encounter while walking around on the radio waves. Using it for cool feature upgrades like this, the GBA attachment would not even be really required to play the game, but just to enhance it.
I was a big sucker for Boktai's Solar Sensor, so you can see why I might enjoy a radio attachment for Starforce. Just another idea that might spice up the Battle Network-based formula.

That idea surely wouldn't half that bad. It would add something more in to the Star Force, because I'll never like it as much as Battle Network. Mainly that the battling system in SF made it drop down quite a bit in my opinion.
But for the execution of that idea, I don't know if it would work in the end. On paper it sounds good, but for real? I don't know. It might be either good or bad.

Honestly, it might not even be totally feasible. However, Bangai-O: Spirits for DS certainly is a great example of converting sound into in-game data. For anyone unfamiliar, you can create custom stage, then play and record a sound clip which contains the stages data, so someone else can re-record that and play the stage for themselves (good way to transfer data without using friend codes).
But, can't really know unless someone tries it. I really doubt Capcom will change up Starforce that much now anyways, but I can always dream.

I don't think Capcom would try that as they will be warnting to make games accessible to everybody and for those who are going to buy the DSi that option will be closed off to them as the DSi has no GBA slot as far as i'm aware.
But otherwise it's a good idea!
