This rather recent indie game that's steadily growing in popularity (and is getting updated) is easily the the scariest game I have ever played, and I own every Silent Hill game too (except for 0).



Based on the Slenderman mythos, you are playing as an unnamed woman who is walking through the woods alone trying to find 8 pieces of paper that pertain to the Slenderman.



Everytime you find a paper, though, the music get's more and more tense. Not only that, but the Slenderman begins to stalk you. The more you find, the more aggressive he get's. If he get's you or you look at him for too long, it's gameover.

I will provide the website. Make you sure you download v0.9.4. The reason for this is because this latest version actually has an ending. In the original the game would end with Slenderman getting you anyway despite collecting all 8 pages. Plus, the latest version has an extra unlockable mode (a pretty funny one I might add).

The creator of the game said he will continue to update it, including the model of Slenderman.

I'll just wait for the other users to figure out why I'm amused by this. Also, that website's Legend page is a crock of shit. It's not even accurate to the slenderman mythos.


#1. Victor Surge created Slenderman, he did not improve on it.

#2 The "mockumentary" they refer to is Marble Hornets. It's not a Mockumentary, it is an Alternate Reality Game.

#3The Slenderman Mythos has too much for this not to credit them. Check websites like Unforum's Slenderman Board and it's Marble Hornets section For accurate information.

if AgentParsec created that website I'm very pissed off at him. He posted straight to the Mythos creators first, and then tries to misinterpret them? How awful.

I actually find Slender to be scarier. Although SCP is still horrifying, especially the new version.

It's only a fictional urban myth. Not really something to get worked up on.

Anyway, the game is excellent and is really the perfect way to make a game based on Slenderman.

From what I heard about Slender is that Slenderman will never directly attack you even if he is behind so if you just take wide turns you have nothing to worry about.

I'm not sure how it's possible not to get scared when playing this. Maybe if it's in the day time in a room with other people and it's in window mode with the sound low.

Once you get about 5 or 6 pages, you have to run or else he catches up. A good tip is to keep running at equal intervals so that you don't ever get exhausted but keep going fast.

I can't wait to see what the new ending is.
