TO THE XTREEEME!!!



A nice uplifting surprise was found in this month's issue of Nintendo Power in a little section they have called "Play Back" in which fans can request their favorite classic in which to be revisited. As you can see, this month's game is none other than Mega Man Xtreme for Game Boy Color. Click the thumbnail above for a high resolution image to read.

They give a nice rundown of the title and have a lot of good things to say. They even go as far as to say it's one of the best games released for the system. I, as a fan and gamer in general, have to agree (Xtreme 2 as well). Long live the X Series. It lives in many forms and in many fans.

Now for some more games, Capcom! Nintendo Power could run some reviews instead of revisiting. ;)

I MEAN UH. Never played Xtreme 1. I hear 2 is far better, but hey at least they're getting some love I s'pose.

Xtreme 2 is kinda superior in every way, but Xtreme 1 has its moments i guess.

I enjoyed the little article, enjoyed it indeed. I've never played Xtreme 2, but I did certainly love the first. One of the first MegaMan X games I played and understood when I was younger.

But you know what? This article ... THIS article right here, revisiting something Mega Man X-related, would probably be the ONLY interesting thing in that issue of Nintendo Power anyway.

If it was on Virtual Console I'd get it...

I never played Xtreme 1 or 2, mostly because I was never into the portable thing, and definitely because it just seemed like an in-between nonsense game to boost sales for Gameboy etc. etc. Even as a boy I remember thinking it was dumb for Capcom to make a newish game of the same thing just so people would buy it for their other console.

But either way, at this stage of the game, it'd be refreshing to play something OTHER than X1 - X8, lol. It'd be nice and nostalgic too.

Xtreme 2 is actually pretty good. Minus the eh storyline, the gameplay is extremely good for Gameboy color and can probably be almost better than the actual SNES games.

I thought they were both good games. And I liked in Xtreme 2 how Zero also got armor.
