By day, the Kasai Warehouse is an abandoned facility located on the outskirts (coastline) of the island of Kyushu, part of the Japanese island. At one point, this was a warehouse for several different corporations, but kept switching over the years. Now, it's abandoned. Until nightfall. The warehouse has secretly become an outpost for a human and Reploid dealing in black market goods. Everything remains anonymous here, and only a select few really know of the warehouse's status as a black market locale.

[From Outlands]

Shadeth had flown in and landed along the coastline before hopping over the dangling fence to ward away civilians from the abandoned area. Everything was silent, save for the waves roaring. He knocked on the warehouse door in a particular rhythm. The large, metal door screeched as it opened. Behind the door were a human and a Reploid. The Reploid was faceless and forged in a black metal. The human was garbed and covered with black clothing. One couldn't see his eyes.

"Ah, Shadeth, it's been a while since I've seen you in Japan," the hooded man spoke.

"Ryugo," Shadeth spoke. "I've got a purchase I'd like to make." Shadeth stepped inside, and the doors closed behind him. The area was silent again.

Shadeth woke up on the mechanic's table.

"Well, the installation was a success," Ryugo spoke. He stepped back from the table holding a few tools. "Highest grade night vision augments I carry. They should activate at will."

"Thanks," Shadeth replied. "It's not enough to get what I really want, but these new eyes will help a lot in my current pursuits."

"Aye, what you really want is a power to destroy the government and the Hunters, right?" the shady, hooded human spoke. "Well, as you know, I'm neutral on the situation. Got my own problems. But I heard an interesting bit of rumors from a Reploid customer from Canada recently."

Shadeth stood up and adjusted the braid in his artificial hair. "Oh?"

"They say some power resides in New Hera. Or rather, New Hera's secretly distributing a terrifying power," Ryugo said with a grin. "Of course, I also hear that the Maverick activity is... well, getting pretty exiting as of late. Perhaps that means there's a bit of truth to it, eh?"

"Hmph!" Shadeth shrugged. "Guess I have the time to kill while waiting on my next order... Thanks for the tip, Ryugo."

"Always a pleasure, Van, my good friend," the black merchant said as Shadeth walked out of the facility. The swordsman ran for the Shade Falcon and hopped aboard. He started the engines and lifted off. It was an odd tip. If he could get his hands on something powerful enough to throw the Federation and Hunters into more chaos, he'd gladly take it. On the other hand, the Maverick activity implied that it might be them he had to deal with. But no matter. Shadeth had yet to receive another call from Dr. Gate. He had some spare time to find out himself.
