What do i mean when i say X4 was the Last Classic Style X game? even tho yes i know that X3 was the last 16 bit game comparing X4 to 5&6......to me X4 still had that luster from X 1-3 and i think what did that was the artwork for the game. and other things...for example X collecting Armour part and it showing the parts on him. the stage select layout was still close to the original layout (like how it was in x1-3.
Even tho this game was a big step forward for the X series and i might ad in a big step for zero. it still felt like it did when i was a kid and its really a hard feeling to explain......and its silly things like for exaple the light that show up when you fight Colonel for the first time. i don't know why but they felt X3ish to me ...i don't like i said its a hard feeling to explain

Now I'm not at all saying X5 and X6 were bad i enjoyed them all. i mean i loved that in X5 that i got to here a SNES tune remixed...same with X6 on the gate stages it each game tried something new and i don't blame them for wanting to do so.

However their are things in the whole x4-6 series that i would had like to have seen...one being Zero's ultimate Armour....

In X 5-6 i was disappointed to see the Armour system get changed to where parts no longer got showed...however i understood it was because their were more armors in this game. however i do think it whould had been cool if you could had Mixed and matched parts...and i did like that you could use Normal X when ever you wanted

So what are your thoughts on this what did you want to see more of in this Era? or maybe see less of?....maybe you were a die hard Vile fan and your were sad that he never got a PSX show up

Megaman X7 kinda reverted to the originals, but added the 3d parts.

X8 was the real step back towards the classic style X games, with the interchangable armour, but it lacked in stage layouts.

Indeed i thought X8 brought back what made the X series Amazing. X7 was...ok and I'm not going to sit here and bash it..they were trying something new with X7 to see how well it would do and it didn't do to well.....i mean i remember watching the trailer...and seeing a 3D X on a highway....that blew my mind...but when the game was released i was some what disappointed that you had to unlock X...i mean his name is on the freaking game...that would be if they made a new Sonic game And called it Sonic 5..but your forced to play as Knuckles and tales in till you unlock Sonic. but with 8X that was a nice refresh. to me at that time it showed that Capcom had learned from their mistakes and gifted their fans.....and i hope one day that they do that again....however i swear to god if a street fighter 5 gets announced before anything else megaman... i may flip a helmet

X4 indeed has the same feel as X1-3. X5 and on expanded the cast and story and made it a bit more complex.

Megaman X7 did pretty well in terms of sales after reading a Megaman game sales thread here. (However, the same can't be said for the other X games that were released after X7.)

Although I liked Megaman X7 a lot, I can still respect why people do not really like the game compared to the other Megaman X games. I had no problem with X being an unlockable character since it help me get used to Axl's gameplay. However, I did not like the conditions for unlocking X. It should have been rescuing 16 reploids or beating 2 bosses.

Now that I think about it, it is better to try something new than playing the "Me Too" game (Resident Evil 5 being like Gears of War) or cashing in on a rehash thinking that it might sell because of nostalgia reasons (Megaman X1 for the iPhone). This is especially the case with the way Capcom has been doing their business lately.

That iphone/ipad version of X1.... disappointed me so much. Now what really Upsets me is that We had remakes of X1 and original Megaman However i really wanted to see a MHX2simply cause i wanted to see how the story would form i mean since dr cain is gone

But those Games really banked off the Nostalgic feeling More so MHX

I Loved That X8 Brought back some of the Classic feelings however the Armour in that game....Yes it looked pretty Cool BUT i kinda wish they made more then just one Model i mean its still the fame Armour just Called a different Name and lit up different Colors and had different powers i mean X5-6 had little sprites but it was that detail in every armor that went along with its name that kept me wanting to collect the parts to know what the whole thing looked like


X8 Just seemed to Focus on 1 type of Armour style and that bummed me out even the Ultimate armour in the same thing i mean sure some of the textures changed a little but to me it was just....meh...ive seen better....Call me a sucker for the SNES style Armour's X7 tried to emulate that And i think that's also what they tried to do with their trailers to begin with TONS of kids all remember X ...Running on that Highway Blowing up Mavericks in his path...First X7 trailer did just that A 3D Megaman X on a familiar Highway...That Made me Want that game

I mean Even the First ZX game took Advantage of this Nostalgia Factor...i Mean a Highway Stage...With Bee Mechs i mean was every one else being reminded of something here

Regardless The X Series has had Many Changes but at the end of the day we still loves these game's eben if they weren't what we expected them to be
