It's been just about one month since I finished writing the Fanscript to Megaman X - The Anime: Season I and I'm finally ready to start brainstorming ideas for Season II.

This is going to be very exciting!! For those who don't already know, Megaman X - The Anime, is a faithful revisioning of the MMX series. My goal has always been to write a fanscript that has a darker tone to it, but also pays tribute to the original Japanese/U.S. dialogue. Inspiration is also pulled from Yoshihiro Iwamoto's Rockman X Manga series.
The Mega Man X and the Mega Man X series is owned by Keiji Inafune and CAPCOM.
Megaman X - The Anime is a completely fandone project for fun, which claims no ownership to the MMX Series or any ideas/characters created by Keiji Inafune, Yoshihiro Iwamoto or CAPCOM.

So to begin the Brainstorming Session, I'll start with the easy stuff first. All brainstorming ideas go out to Team X and the X9 Community.

Should the first episode of Season II be considered Episode 1, or Episode 28? Since the games span for basically a full 8 seasons, much like Dragon Ball Z, I would suggest the latter. But this could also get confusing too. It's not a big deal, but it's something we should all make a decision on.

The first episode - I want to fill in the gaps of the 6 months and quickly introduce any new Original Character's that may or may not need introducing. This includes X9's very own RP Character Turian, with granted permission by Turian himself. If you're still up for it, I'd love to have him and his crew join the 14th Unit, but we're definitely going to have to go over the origins of Turian and how he can fit into the storyline without me botching anything up. =]

As for the Manga Character Marty, I want her to play a pivotal role in X's maturity this season. She doesn't have to be around the whole time, but he should look to her for guidance here and there, since they are basically together..
But... the X2 Manga itself introduces Marty as a pirate searching for gold with some dude, while X is out after Bubble Crab. Before I can think about her exchanges with X, I have to figure out who this bald guy is in relation to Marty. Is he her Brother or her Boyfriend?? Throughout the issue it looks like she's trying to make him jealous, and I recall the bald guy looking sort of jealous during a point in the X3 manga.

Looks to me like he's yelling at her, and forcing her to leave X to his mission against her will. Is this suggestive of a jealous boyfriend type or an over-protective brother?? That's definitely something to think about.

There are other things to think about as well such as the Boss Battle Order as well, but I'm going to sort those thoughts out for another day.

The bald guy seems like he might be her first mate if she's captain. And he might have a thing for her and be a bit jealous of X since she gives him more attention and such.

I think we should just go for "Mega Man X2, Episode 1"

EG just start from ep. 1, not 28. consider what the mangas did, which was rather than just name them all "Megaman X" the names change according to game, and the volumes follow accordingly.

Alright, so this is what I was thinking so far for Episode 1.

Like I said before, I think we should recap what's been going on, via the Video Game narration, only extend it more and have it focus on new characters.

I'll do my best to combine the best of both the U.S. & Japanese prologue logically..... but basically when we get to the point where it mentions, "the new generation of Maverick Hunters"... I want to quickly bring up who they are. (Similar to how Transformers 2:Rise of the Fallen quickly introduced some of their new characters right at the beginning).

Once we get out of the prologue, I want to take us to our Blue boy X, standing on a cliff who is shooting a large blue/purple charge shot at the sky. He's going to mention that Zero's power is still within him.

From the water below the cliff, Marty will have a quick moment with him. Since that bald guy probably is just an underling that has a crush on her, I guess this scene can be nice and quick. But I just figured out last night, that I think X's new water-hopping technique should be something he learned from Marty. So this should be the perfect time to introduce that new learned technique, while things are still a semblence of peaceful.

Now... further into the episode, I want to explain what the Counter Hunters have been doing. I want to try that parallel Zero building scene with both Dr. Cain & Serges. One is successful, the other is not, but both ultimately fail as they both have the final components which rely on each other though.

Beyond the rebuilding of Zero, I want to show that the Counter Hunters are in control. Perhaps a flashback that suggests that Serges found Sigma's control chip and built him a new body. I'm not sure how I'm going to handle this yet.

Either way, it is up to Neo-Sigma to find and persuade Overdrive Ostrich to join him. Neo-Sigma should probably approach Flame Stag too.

Magna Centipede was captured and brainwashed on a mission. His loss should be the last. It was HE who spread the Maverick Virus to everyone from the Central Computer apparently. I don't know how to set this up just yet, but it's definitely going to be a big deal.

Hmm... Then we get to a lot later in the episode. Just like the Manga suggests, X & Reku, who is Green Biker Dude, have a moment palling around at the base. I originally figured that a lot of this episode could be them flashbacking and reminiscing on their adventures from the past 6 months. Then the ultimate ending to the episode is the Opening Stage. BAM Reku dies. Begin Mega Man X2.


I know I already missed something, but that's all I have on the top of my head at the moment. I'm also very sure that these are too many ideas to fit in to one entire episode. I really hope it doesn't go over more than 2 though.

For what happens AFTER this the X2 Opening Stage I have a few ideas. First of all...

I think that the Factory should produce the 3 new threats that are not Hunter betrayers. It should produce Wire Sponge, Crystal Snail and Morph Moth. At the very least, just Wire Sponge & Morph Moth. Crystal Snail could've been just lurking in his cave.
I was thinking for Crystal Snail that the Miners should find him along with Harrow Hound and wind up in trouble. X has to save them.

I thought it would be really neat to have X tackle the 3 new threats first before going after the Hunter Betrayers. There are a few continuity problems with this choice however. One is the weapons weakness thing, which isn't that big of a deal. The other is the Capsule Upgrade order, which is more of a big deal in regards to this game, since X needs certain weapons to get certain things.

For sure regarding the capsules I think that X should get either the Helmet or the arms first.

I thought of something a little unconventional but, Wheel Gator and Bubble Crab disband from the 6th Battalion at round-abouts the same time. Wheel Gator's is based on an argument and Bubble Crab's is based off of greed. I don't know how to set Bubble Crab up yet, but for Wheel Gator I have a decent idea of who he's arguing with. A new character named Vortex Orca.

But either way... Wheel Gator's incident is a pretty huge deal. Driving around in a Dino Tank, crushing the surrounding (Abel?) City. His incident could happen in the middle of the Season II, seeing as it'd take him a while to build the whole thing. (Could be a present from Neo-Sigma though... considering the whole D-Rex thing).

Alright... I know all of that's a handful, but last but not least. Black Zero.

I love what the Manga did, having X face off against an evil Black Zero, but then upon breaking the head-gem Zero turned back to normal and faded back to a red color. I do not want to completely borrow this idea, but check out my idea.

I was thinking that just like the Manga, that Zero could wake up and try to get out of the X-Hunter Base and fly out of there just as he does. The Manga has him pass out as he lands on a random island. I think all of this is fine, however, I do not think he should be recaptured. I think that Zero should be in a savage state, since he doesn't have his Control Chip. I can't explain what's making him function, but it could be the virus or... evil energy??

Either way... X should encounter and win the battles against the 3 Counter Hunters along the way. Then a 4th complete Surprise encounter should be on X & Black Zero. This should be a savage and brutal fight. And I think X should win, but not crack the head-gem. He should take Black Zero back to base, but then hear nothing back before it's time to head to the Counter Hunter Base.

Then... at the very end, when X sees the Black Zero Clone, X should be beside himself. He thinks this is the real thing. Again. And that there's no possible way to win. And then at the last moment, BAM. Normal Red Zero saves the day, just like the Good X2 path.

Now this idea is pretty iffy. So I'd love to hear any feedback on that. The problem with X2 is that there are 2 paths to take. And both are acceptable.

As for my crazy jumble of ideas above... I'm going to hash out the logistics of each Maverick's motivation and attack on the Hunters. I mean... Overdrive Ostrich tries to set off a missile aimed at Hunter Base!!! That in itself is another immediate situation that X has to jump on. And if I'm gonna do it right with him getting the leg upgrade, that has to happen AFTER Wheel Gator's Dino Tank lets loose on Abel City.

So! Lot's of fun things to think about...

Oh, and duh. Most important question. How should I explain that X got rid of his armor? I have another idea about that one too, but I'm not too sure yet...

I find awesome what you said, but always remember that Flame Stag was part of the Mega Man X maverick uprising but was not one of the 8 (or 9 if you count Vile) Maverick Hunter traitors.

I would like that X sees GBD as Zero saw him in this episode.

Maybe you can show that while Wire Sponge was being constructed something went wrong with a machine, messing up his circuits.

Personally, since Wheel Gator hated Bubble Crab, I think he leaved the Maverick Hunters a long time before Bubble Crab did it. As I know, Wheel Gator was just like Vile, he was maverick because he wanted to, and then Sigma took advantage about that and offered him the opportunity to cause great scale disasters.

And for the armor thing...maybe it was too damaged after the last battle against Sigma, even almost destroyed. In spite of this, Dr. Cain was amused with the new X's body parts and how Dr. Light created an upgrade system like that. Then, he studied the Light Armor and created some "plugins" for X inner system to enhance his charged buster and activate permanently the Emergency Acceleration System based on this new knowledge.

And finally, since you folks can do anything you want, if you want to stay with the canon, Zero and X never fought. For capcom decisions, X2 and X3 fights are just "what if" scenarios.

keep in mind that the Control chip is as far as I know, Zero's brain. It has his consciousness and personality program and all of that. Without it, You cant have Zero's body running aroubd, because it doesnt have a brain. It couldnt function without being a copy with it's own mind like the black one.

That said, I like the idea of having both the Zero fight, AND having Zero fight his copy.

Perhaps you could do the headgem shattering, which shatters the Sigma Virus chip in Zero's helmet, and later, you can expand on X5's intro, and do a full fledged Zero vs Copy Zero fight. (while it was cool seeing Zero trash it with little effort, the notion of him duking it out with the copy is much more interesting narrative wise)

So it could go something like this-

the X hunters eventually steal the control chip from Cain, trashing his lab and such, and X fights Zero somewhere. X defeats Zero though, surpassing Serges' expectations, and therefore takes Zero back with him. Sigma then, (you can assume that the copy will be by the end in the central computer lab, so Serges will be dead by then-) does a rush job of fixing up and activating a Zero body, perhaps one that Serges left behind, which would be grayish black in color, maybe because it hasnt been painted yet? IDK, and uses it as a taunt to X, hoping that the copy is as strong as the real Zero. maybe you can have it fight X for a little, before Zero swoops in to save the day.

maybe the Zero body existed as a prototype of the final design? maybe serges started making it and found some flaw in it which prompted him to discard the body and make a new one, which is the one Zero awakens in? That flaw could then possibly be the chekov's gun that causes him to explode in a blaze of glory when Zero fights him. it could be some sort of physical or internal flaw, a fucked up power generator, a crack in the reactor wall which upon receiving the powerful force of Zero's attack, breaks and explodes his core?

So Serges trashed the body parts and started over, and Sigma just fixed them up, unified them, and made or found a backup of Zero's program in Serges' files which he loads into it? it wouldnt be a full backup of Zero's personality mind you, but a basic backup of his functions and shit. or just a progrm made by Sigma, after all, Sigma DOES know how to make reploids if we take X5 and Dark Necrobat into account.

Maybe the copy could trash talk Zero in their fight, much like "X"(iX / Ikksu) taunted X in their fight in the first Megamission. whoch Zero can then asser his badass dominance and through plot convenience, manage to hit the flaw in the copy's body, and destroy him.


Or it could be a clone made by Sigma from a sample of Zero's dna or something. though that would reduce the uniqueness of Nightmare Zero when he shows up...

EDIT: I have an idea. You could make the Serges X hunter base fight last, instead of Agile. I mean, he's the head of the X hunters and he's the second fight? kind of anti climactic to him no?

You could have the Zero fight before the Serges fight. As in, Serges unleashes the Sigma virus chip Zero on X, probably saying some cryptic "mission" stuff- and when X defeats him, Serges comes out in his Wily Machine X2 Serges Machine 2


As for armor, well, first off, it was probably damaged a fair bit in the battle with Sigma. Second, he probably felt it best to return it to Light since the felt the war was over.

That's something that I already explained in Season I. Right now, since he didn't make the cut for Sigma's Rebellion, he's stewing in his own anger, training in the Volcano. Until a certain someone starts building an X-Hunter base in his territory. Then he becomes intrigued... Then who is he to find, but Neo-Sigma himself who needs all the help he can get. There are multiple levels to this interaction, that I have to figure out before I have Flame Stag just up and join Sigma again.

I like that a lot. I was thinking that he escapes as X destroys the huge Mechaniloid. I still have to figure out the logistics of Morph Moth in the first episode though. He'd be a caterpillar at first and not in his larval state yet (when X fights him).

I don't know, the MMNetwork bios are starting to make me think that they got into a fight with each other now... What I think I might do is have Bubble Crab quit based off of Wheel Gator's attitude. And then have Vortex Orca - the new head of the Marine Unit, basically fire Wheel Gator. Of course this will spur on a fight and deem him a Maverick. The bio says that Wheel Gator joined Sigma's cause this time around, because it seemed to fit his style, but that doesn't suggest to me that he was like Vile at all. I didn't write him that way...

Well, alright. For the armor, I thought about how messed up it was as well. Perhaps it was irreparable.
Dr. Cain was definitely not amused by X's upgrades, but more in awe the way I wrote it in Season I. The plugin idea is neat, but I already have a solid explanation for X's enhanced X-Buster power explained in Season I - Zero fused his Energy Amplifier with X's Buster to give him that crazy full purple Wave Shot. Once X got rid of the armor, he still had Zero's extra power within him. That's going to be the big point of X's introduction on the cliff by the water with Marty. X is going to be relieved that his comrade is still with him in a sense. I also figured that maybe he and Marty could be talking about what he did with the armor... who knows...
As for the Permanent activation of the acceleration system. That one's easy. He just turned it on, because he likes it. Maybe that's what he and Marty could be talking about though...

That's what I thought too... I don't know how dead set I am on this idea yet. Maybe Serges could be so hungry to kill X that he'd stoop to making a copy-brain similar to the Zero Clone idea you have down below.

Hmm... At very first I was planning on having it be a big fight between X and the Zero Clone. Then I did want Red Zero to trash is with ease... But... maybe I could make Zero have a big battle with it too. That'd all really depend on episode flow I think. Either way, I don't want it to be the extremely quick X2 cut scene that it is in the game.

This scenario is a strong possibility. If it completely makes zero sense to have him running around without the exact control chip, I'm probably going to have to make the X-Hunters storm the base and steal the chip, which is no problem... This could be a mini-filleresq type episode which gives the supporting characters their time to shine.
As for the Sigma cloning Zero thing, I already thought about it... I thought that maybe Serges should be the one who's making a Black Zero clone anyway, despite rebuilding Zero a fully solid new body. I thought about this interaction with Sigma for a while now.

SIGMA: A clone?

SERGES: ALWAYS... make a clone...

This being a slight nod at the idea that Serges is Wily and has always made clones to fight Mega Man in the past... I dunno, it kinda sounded better in my head... But anyway, I think that this clone should be made by either of them, and be painted black on purpose - I guess by Sigma, as a personality choice. Maybe even for differential purposes. I even thought about Serges wanting Zero to be Black this time around too and giving him an evil chip that coats the armor black, just like in the Manga. Then when X shatters it, it coats itself back to red. The only problem I have with this is that it suggests that X defeated Zero's evil. Then he wouldn't be as shocked or scared when facing off against the Clone, 'cause he'd know it's a clone. So I still don't know about that... but definitely one of them should simply be making the clone as a backup. The reason why I think it should be Serges is because, if you look back to Season I, I had Serges make all of those Maverick Clones and try to attack Sigma with them. I figure this could be a sort of passing the torch type of thing, as Sigma learns the ways of Wily. To always make a clone of his Mavericks (for future games).

I thought about changing the order on that battle too. I'm not sure yet though...

What about Zero's own saber?

the main issue I have with the Zero copy is this:

if it's made by serges it just flies right in the face of character traits Wily has exhibited in almost any instance where Zero is involved, especially later on in X5 and X6, where Wily is obsessed with bringing Zero to his side. He's not the type to clone him because the real deal got away from him... He is the type to plan and machinate a way to awaken Zero. (which is where the X5 plan eventually comes from) it always seemed more likely that Sigma made the copy. possibly with information left behind by Serges. Which could actually accommodate the blueprint quip Zero makes in the localization. Though in the original, Zero does address Sigma when speaking of the copy- "It seems you made a mistake in copying me!"

To be honest, it just seems like the Manga's way of fusing both paths was done for sort of the same reasons. any other way of reconciling both together just doesnt make sense without extremely convoluted if not forced, reasonings. Which is also why the X2 manga had Cain recover Zero's body, and had the X hunters steal that. therefore sort of working in the parts system. Zero awakens as himself and tries to escape, thus including the "Good Zero" path as well, but is overtaken and X fights the "Black Zero", who then becomes the Good Zero.

wow that just sounded about 10 times more convoluted that it was.

I hear ya. In that case, Sigma should be the one to clone a Black Zero then. I still have to figure out exactly what I'm doing with Zero, but I wanted to post my more-organized thoughts of what's happening here in Season II.

So far I have a decent scope of Episode 1, and what happens later. The Maverick notes are almost verbatim from the MMNetwork. Here we go:

Magna Centipede was captured and brainwashed by the X Hunters to serve Sigma. Centipede was stationed at the mother computer facility where he began transmitting the Maverick Virus around the world.

Wheel Gator disliked Bubble Crab. One day while on duty he was overwhelmed with destructive impulses and viciously attacked a comrade. He was thrown out of the unit and hunted after for being a traitor. To satisfy his lust for cruel and wanton destruction, he joined Sigma's army.

Bubble Crab hated Wheel Gator. Ultimately, Crab's main interest was in making riches. Throwing away his own pride, he joined Sigma's army in hopes of amassing great wealth. He was put in charge of the Mavericks' transportation unit, and is tasked with defending a submarine base.
{Bubble Crab takes over the 6th Unit Marine Base}

Overdrive Ostrich was scouted by Sigma, who saw use in Ostrich's strong legs. Finding use for his abilities, Ostrich pledged his loyalty to Sigma. He was put in charge of a missile base that was abandoned years ago after a prohibition of nuclear arms treaty was signed.

Flame Stag resurfaced during Sigma's second strike as an X Hunter base was built in his mountain range.

Morph Moth is said to be an experimental Reploid manufactured by Sigma. He has the unusual ability to grow and transform his body by absorbing scrap from other robots and machinery. He took over a scrap processing plant and used the scrap to resurrect old Reploids. {I'm starting to think that he could be created in the factory prior to X investigating it}

Crystal Snail - origins are shrouded in mystery, though it's possible he was manufactured by Sigma. With the discovery of a mine with a large energen crystal reef, which could be converted into Reploid energy, Snail took over the mine and guarded its resources. {I'm debating on having the X-Hunters discover Crystal Snail since his origins are a mystery}

Wire Sponge is a Reploid modeled after a sea cucumber. He was created in one of Sigma's Maverick producing factories. However, due to an accident his personality became abnormal, causing him to become excessively cheerful at random and dance. Regardless, he was spared disposal because he still had impressive combat power. He was put in charge of a weather control station, which suited him as he found great amusement in continually changing the weather. {I'm starting to think he could also be created in the factory prior to X investigating it}

Wheel Gator is put in charge of a large, dinosaur-modeled aircraft carrier and attempts to use it to demolish the whole city. After a Rude Awakening from Mac, X rushes in to help his Teammates, but he also runs into trouble in the name of Serges. Meanwhile, Flame Stag and Magma Dragoon are locked in a battle that leaves them both at a standstill. Stagger reveals inside information that makes Magmard begin to question what they are fighting for. Meanwhile Sigma sets off a contingency plan, just as X finishes off Wheel Gator. After their battle, X's radar reports of a nuclear missile that's headed right for Hunter Base!

Episode 7

• Overdrive Ostrich attempts to launch a remaining neutron missile at the Hunter Base. Blast Hornet rushes X to the scene and helps him destroy the Missile with the 7th Unit. X faces off against Overdrive Ostrich, discovering more answers about his past, and Sigma's revival. Just as X is about to win the day, Violen arrives at the scene with plans of his own!

Episode 8

• A conflicted Flame Stag thinks about Sigma's Doomsday Plot - an attempt to cause once dormant volcanoes to erupt with the intention of spreading volcanic ash and blocking the sun's light. Feeling lost, he chooses to face X for his own reasons. Meanwhile, X discovers that Magma Dragoon has already fought him here and failed. As X faces Flame Stag, he challenges the morality of his decisions. As things come to a head, Agile arrives with news that turns everything around on X.

Episode 9

X returns to base and is surprised to see that it has been overthrown by the X-Hunters and the remaining members of the Resistance Army. Dr. Cain explains the weight of their current situation when he tells X that they stole Zero's Control Chip! X loses his composure and begins to accept the fact that he might have to kill Zero, in order to save the world. Then, he plots to take down Magna Centipede. Just then, Magune dramatically hacks into their computer and reveals that he's been jamming their signal the entire time. Magna Centipede challenges X to a duel and states that he has Blast Hornet, hostage. If X wants to save him, he must arrive by 10:00 tonight. Alone. X accepts this challenge as Dr. Cain worries about what will happen next.

Episode 10

Zero wakes up in a base surrounded by Mechaniloids. Frightened and uncontrolled, Zero defends himself and flees from the base. When arriving to safety, he notices that he is in Black Armor and is scared by his own self-image.
Meanwhile, X searches through the Central Computer Facility for Blast Hornet and faces the dangers that lie ahead.

Episode 11

X finds and defeats Magna Centipede, only to see Zero confirmed as an X-Hunter on the Mother Computer Screen. He tracks Zero's location to Laguz Island, and knows what he has to do...

When arriving at Laguz Island, X fights him with everything he has. The corrupt Zero appears as if he's being manipulated, and not fully under his own control. In a fit of passion, X smashes Zero's gem, putting him in Stasis. Once the gem is smashed, a familiar purple mist appears, and makes X begin to question their entire friendship. After giving it careful thought, X takes Zero back to base for repairs. He vows that no matter what, he will do everything he can to make things the way they once were.

Episode 12

X finds out what Project M finally is. He and a select few of the recovered Maverick Hunters take immediate action at the Robot Junkyard as they take on Sigma's Reviving Army! X defeats the Mastermind himself - Morph Moth and declares that no matter what it takes... he will put an end to this. Meanwhile, Dr. Cain and Hunter Control discover the whereabouts of the X-Hunters Base. When X arrives home, he receives the good news.

Serges laments about his past failures and prays for a miracle.
Meanwhile, late that night at Maverick Hunter Base, Zero wakes up in his containment pod with evil eyes.

Episode 14

Zero breaks out of Maverick Hunter Base and steals a 7th Unit Jet in the process. With no time to plan, X goes after Zero using the last of the Hunter Jets. Zero shoots X down, but luckily he ejects in time and survives.
With direct access to the Central Computer, Dr. Cain & Nina easily find that Zero is headed to the X-Hunter Base.
X and several teams of Maverick Hunters are teleported to the area, where they face off against a frontline of Disc Boy clones and mechaniloids. X finds a way in, while the others contend with the forces outside.
Inside, X encounters Violen, while on the outside, the Maverick Hunters encounter Zero!!

Episode 15

Spoiler

After defeating Violen, Serges sets a trap from the room that almost crushes X entirely. X narrowly escapes the perils of the trap at the cost of using his Giga Crush and losing his path to the top of the Fortress. Nina helps X find a new route inside, via an underwater pipeline, while nearby, Zero is slowly taking down every Maverick Hunter that gets in his way. The Maverick Hunters slowly retreat before Zero can finish them off, meanwhile X encounters Serges. After defeating Serges, Zero is zapped from the inside for a final time. The force is so powerful that it causes him to shut down and pass out.

Episode 16

Impressed at X's handy work, Sigma taunts X on a loudspeaker, explaining that he has more "toys" for him to play with. From his lair, Sigma takes note of X's progress through the fortress and recalls how he and X came to be so powerful. X discovers a Special Light Capsule hidden in a holographic room. There he receives Dr. Light's latest Peacemaker, in which he uses to make short work of the newly revived Agile.

Episode 17

Spoiler

Agile explodes from X's raging Dragon Punch. As X thinks the Counter-Hunters are finally defeated, Sigma reintroduces X to Zero, who claims that he is the last X-Hunter. As they fight, he overpowers X and all seems lost, when suddenly, he's blasted from outside of the gate. Before X's eyes a Red Zero appears, and he is irate. The clone flees, as does Sigma. X is about to question Zero, who explains that there's no time for that, and that they have to focus on finishing Sigma off now!
Zero breaks a whole through the ground with his Giga Attack, creating a make-shift tunnel below towards Sigma's lair. He states that Sigma lies just ahead.
X dives into action and faces Sigma in a deadly rematch.
While they exchange heavy blows, Zero goes after his Clone and settles the score, once and for all proving that he is the Real Zero and that he has learned the error of his ways.
X and Sigma have a climactic rematch, as he takes him out with his Giga Crush at the last possible moment.
As Zero defeats the Clone, suddenly the Mother Computer erupts with power. A Grid form of Sigma's head comes to life and looms over Zero.
Surprised, X rushes to the scene. The two are forced to face Sigma together. Through this battle, they begin to trust one another again as they finish Sigma off once and for all.

The two teleport far off into the distance as they watch the X-Hunter Base explode, while the sun begins to rise.

I reread the X2 Manga and took notes of some moments that I like. Some more ideas are getting clearer, but I still have to figure out how to handle Zero.

I'm getting a better idea of what the Boss Battle Order should be like.

I'm also thinking about tying in Cameos from a Good Dr. Doppler, Alia and a Good Gate. Not to mention a few of the X6 incidents that happen with Gate's creations. I want them to happen in real-time, but I'm starting to think that those events may begin to take place during X-treme 2.

Anyway, here are the Manga moments that I like. I'll sort out the rest later.

Manga Moments I like

Issue 1 – Revival

Spoiler

1. X faces off with a raging beast while Reku & co. look on.
Adaptation – X & Reku head to the scene where Turian’s crew is facing off with the beast.

2. X punches a hole through the beast and finds a Control Chip with Sigma’s logo on it. He brings it back to base and analyzes it.
Adaptation – Research division analyzes it. On it is the Sigma message?

3. X and a team of Hunters travel out to the Factory
Adaptation – X, Reku and the 14th Unit ride in to the Factory

4. A Hunter betrays the team and kills Reku
Adaptation – The Road Riders occupy the rest of the team while X goes inside.

5. In the factory, X finds a lot of Maverick Chips in production, and crushes them with prejudice.

6. After X defeats the Mechaniloid, a huge hologram of Neo-Sigma reveals himself.

Issue 2 – Wiseman – Wire Sponge

Spoiler

1. Takes place directly outside of the factory and explains that the city is flooded and messed up due to the Weather Control Station.

2. Wire Sponge is dancing to music. [Gives us a Music Moment]

3. X remembers Zero, Arumaji and Storm Eagle again for some reason.

4. X & Dr. Cain visit Zero’s grave site. Dr. Cain reveals that they have his parts.
Adaptaion – Maybe Dr. Cain could reveal the same type of underground bunker, but it could be new Zero parts that fail upon being put online.

5. Manga – The Counter Hunters spot X running to his next mission, just like in the game.

Issue 3 – Duel – Flame Stag

Spoiler

Adaptation – Some of the events of this episode won’t happen until later.

1. There is some sort of flashback to the good old days, with Zero, Flame Stag, X and a few rando’s having a conversation outside. Perhaps on the Rock-cliff. It seems that the flashback was some sort of sparring session or argument with X. Maybe even Zero firing Flame Stag, and him feeling vengeful towards X.
Adaptaion – If it is about Flame Stag falling out with the Hunters, instead I’ll reference his betrayal in S1 - Episode 11. I also may have Magma Dragoon investigate Flame Stag right away, while X is doing something else – {Wheel Gator?}.

2. X has an awesome showdown moment with Flame Stag, challenging his Buster against Flame Stag’s fireball.
Adaptation – There is a moment beforehand where X clenches his fist. I think I should have X use his Potential and pound Flame Stag with a glowing blue fist to finally gain an upperhand. Then he can do the Buster/Fireball challenge.

3. Agile interrupts the fight/gives X an exit. It seems that he may be the one that actually kills Flame Stag. Agile is there with Serges
Adaptation – I’d probably end the episode here, and start the next one with a fight of X & Agile.

4. X revisits MH HQ and sees that it’s been trashed by the Counter Hunters. Dr. Cain is on the ground and explains that they stole Zero’s parts.
Adaptation – Dr. Cain explains that they stole Zero’s control chip.

Issue 4 – Glittering Death – Crystal Snail

Spoiler

1. Neo Sigma has a moment to shine and show off his skills with his Wolverine claws, meanwhile X is exploring the Crystal Cave.
Adaptation – I’m not sure yet, but these events may happen first if X explores the Crystal Cave first.
Original Idea – X saves the 12th Unit in the area with the X-heart. He’ll have to have the Strike Chain for that to happen first. I.E. This episode does not happen until X faces Wire Sponge.

2. Dr. Light randomly grants X the helmet.
Adaptation – X will find the capsule the right way.

3. Sigma witnesses this on his throne and is outraged. Serges humbly bows before him and they discuss plans. Serges reveals that Zero is ready to go.
Adaptation – If this occurs before they steal the Control Chip, I will still reveal the plan, but it will just be an Evil Zero body standing at attention offline.

Issue 5 – Antlion – Overdrive Ostrich (part 1)

Spoiler

Adaptation – This episode will happen probably directly after Wheel Gator’s stage. If X has the helmet upgrade, his radar can pick up the rocket from far away and warn him possibly.

1. X explores the Overland Desert Post on a Ride Chaser right away.
Adaptation – This is probably going to happen RIGHT after X takes on Wheel Gator, so him having a Ride Chaser at the get-go actually makes perfect sense.

2. Zero becomes operational while 2 Mavericks are playing cards. He looks at them with an evil smile.

3. X remembers Storm Eagle soaring above.

4. Zero is self-aware and desperately tries to escape the Counter Hunter Base with Z-Sabre in tact. He thinks of Storm Eagle along the way. Probably something to do with playing a part.
Adaptation - I like this moment a lot, but I may have to alter it to him being Savage and evil. He can still be desperate to escape, but there wouldn't be any Storm Eagle references here..

5. X randomly gets his Air-Dash boots while he’s about to fall into a spike-pit.
Adaptation – X will find his upgrade the right way with his Spin Wheel.

6. Zero escapes the base using his Giga attack.

7. X destroys the missile at point blank range, and gets knocked down to the ground brutally hurt.
Adaptation – He should use a Sub-tank upon landing…

8. Overdrive Ostrich has a flashback about his flight system failing. {From S1 - Episode 4}
Adaptation –Flashback to S1 - Ep. 4 dialogue: Storm Eagle tells Overdrive Ostrich that Captain wants to transfer him. Now Overdrive Ostrich wants to get back at Captain by sending off this missile to Hunter Base!!

9. During the fight, Overdrive Ostrich explains some more that Neo-Sigma found him and easily persuaded him to join the Maverick cause. The Manga explains that Overdrive Ostrich wanted revenge on X for killing Storm Eagle I think. It also shows that Sigma beat him into submission. The confusing part is that it was X1 Sigma that did this.
Adaptation – this scene may or may not happen in real-time. It will be Neo-Sigma that does this, not X1 Sigma.

10. Zero is damaged, but still fighting the good fight while he’s surrounded by a swarm of Mavericks. An Alpha Soldier is in the background.
Adaptation - If he's savage, he'll be fighting the bad fight.

11. Sigma sits up in his throne/bed… o.O and eagerly watches Zero & X getting crushed in their respective places.

Issue 6 – Illusion – Overdrive Ostrich (part 2)

Spoiler

1. Zero escapes the X-Hunter Base on a jet.

2. X pulls a stance with Storm Eagle behind him. Overdrive Ostrich is haunted at the striking resemblance.

3. Overdrive Ostrich sets off ANOTHER Missile!!

4. Violen interrupts their fight!!!

5. As X dives upward and air dashes away from a pillar high in the sky, his grace reminds ODO of Storm Eagle. ODO has an identity crisis and decides to make a final atonement for his misdeeds. He tries really hard and manages to make his Flight System boost him higher up into the air than X.

6. Overdrive Ostrich feels Storm Eagle’s spirit in him as he sacrifices himself.

7. X looks on and tears up.
Adaptation – Overdrive Ostrich’s Weapon chip falls down to the ground and his radar picks it up.

8. Zero lands on a random peaceful Island. He runs off into a forest and collapses of exhaustion.
Adaptation - I'm thinking of making this Laguz Island for fun continuities' sake.

9. X has a peaceful moment at the base, and is excited to hear that Zero made it out of the X-Hunter Base??
Adaptation – Probably not using this.

10. X visits Nurse-bot who is in the Medic Bay. She’s happy to see him.
Adaptation – I originally thought it was Marty, but it’s not. I’d probably make it Marty. Having a Nurse-bot isn’t bat though…

11. X faces off against a VR sword which becomes a crazy sword monster.
Adaptation – Probably not using this either, but it gives X a reason to go to the Central Computer.

Issue 7 – Possibility – Magna Centipede

Spoiler

1. I like that Zero is exploring something in this episode, but I don’t understand it.

2. By the end, Zero is on the Central Computer screen. X knows that he’s out there.
Adaptation - I like this sense of distance… I don't know if I could pull it off though.

Issue 8 – Pirates – Bubble Crab

Spoiler

1. The Manga re-introduces Marty with her crew of Pirates. Her first mate wears an eye patch and has a thing for her. It is clear that they are looking for buried treasure.

2. X stumbles upon Marty’s ship and he’s surprised to see her.

3. Bubble Crab faces off against a random explorer and kills him.

4. X and Marty have an argument over what she’s wearing I think??

5. She ejects X from her ship while they explore elsewhere. X is shocked, but focuses on the mission ahead. Marty & crew plow forward and Marty looks out the window longingly with a slight frown on her face, while the first mate comes in unawares.
Adaptation – I dunno… I may have a similar allusion to this, but that’s just cold. So far there isn’t much of a reason for Marty to really be in there.

6. The first mate gets jealous of X.

7. X thinks about what Bubble Crab would buy with all of those riches if the Maverick’s got their hand on that money. All the weapons of mass destruction and etc.

8. Marty’s crew attacks the Deep Sea Base first.

9. X meets and saves the first Mate. He’s torn between disliking X about the whole Marty thing and being grateful to X for ya know… saving his life.

10. Marty faces off against Bubble Crab and shows off her Mermaid Mode.

11. X gets to save Marty and look awesome.

12. Marty shoves X, he gets upset and he gets shot in the back because of her.
Adaptation – I like and dislike this. It shows that the distraction of having a girlfriend figure on the battlefield. What I don’t like is that her shove could also imply that they’re not together, or that she’s putting on a front for the first mate, or that she’s just a bitch…

13. Bubble Crab has part of Marty’s crew trapped. He uses his shoulder plasma on them and cuts the front of their chest plates, revealing their insides. This kills them. Marty is horrified at Bubble Crab’s evil.

14. X destroys a thing containing Money. Marty saves her first mate and escapes.

15. X is finally able to focus on a brutal fight with Bubble Crab.

16. Marty & First Mate shoot the base from above, destroying a good portion of it.

17. The 3 are left treading water on the starry night as Bubble Crab is now dead. The treasure is gone. I think Marty and the other guy learn that there is something more valuable than treasure… life. Marty is holding something shiny in her hands. It’s either the last remnants of the crumpled diamond or someone’s life force.

18. Marty splashes playful like and X has an inner-thought while offering a solemn smile.
Adaptation – I really wish I knew what they were saying here, ‘cause I can’t really decipher this that well.

Issue 9 – Weakness – Morph Moth

Spoiler

1. The fucked up Zero has a nightmare and dreams of a huge X reaching out to him. Then the X turns into Sigma
Adaptation - This is where he does a Face/Heel turn in the Manga. But if I go with the Full-evil route the whole time, then this dream sequence wouldn't make sense... Who knows, maybe I can have Zero have this dream right before he comes online.

2. Hunter Base Computer spots Sting Chameleon lurking in the Robot Junkyard. Dr. Cain tells X to investigate.
Adaptation - I like this. Maybe Captain or Nina would give the order.

3. Junked out grave sites of the Mavericks X killed appear.

4. A revived junk Boomer Kuwanger challenges X.
Adaptation – I think Gravity Beetle should be with X on this mission and get equally creeped out.

5. The other X1 junk Mavericks challenge X. [Sting Chameleon, Arumaji, Flame Mammoth, Storm Eagle, Vile, Wire Sponge, Bubble Crab… everyone] {Flame Stag, Spark Mandrill, Launch Octopus, Magna Centipede… everyone who’s died so far}
Adaptation – Depending on my boss order, this scenario will vary. But all of the major X1 guys are in.

6. X gets fucked up from the old Mavericks. He’s cornered by other junk Hunters too. Then Morph Moth destroys all of them on command and faces X.
Adaptation – X and a small team will take on the Junkers and barely defeat them. They all leave or stay grounded while X pushes on and faces Morph Moth.

7. X wins using Speed Burner. Black Zero stands before X amidst the flames. Their fight begins.
Adaptation – Don’t know how to handle this yet, but this is awesome!

Issue 10 – Healing – Black Zero?/Wheel Gator
Adaptation - This scenario is probably going to be drastically different.

Spoiler

1. Black Zero smashes X through the ground and smiles evilly as he won the small battle.
Adaptation – Probably not happening.

2. X gets the Armor Upgrade randomly after crashing into the ground and needing to take on more Maverick enemies.
Adaptation – X will get it right by cutting through the floor, but this can’t happen before X visits Wheel Gator.

3. Dino Tank crashes into the room and shoots at X.

4. X hops into Alpha Ride Armor and investigates the tank.

5. Wheel Gator’s army destroys the Ride Armor, and X has to take them head on. X uses the Gravity Crush to take out the wave entirely!!! Upon usage, the armor completely powers down and X is stuck in Blue form again.
Adaptation - I really like the One-time only idea. I think I'm gonna use it for the Final Sigma fight. Or maybe I'd make it like a charge up situation, where the Armor would disappear and X wouldn't be able to wear the armor for a certain amount of hours or something.

6. X taps back into his power and gains the Arm upgrade.
Adaptation – there are some nice Zero flashbacks, but X is going to do this right with either the dash-boots or more likely, the strike chain and his radar handy.

7. X & Wheel Gator have an awesome brawl!!!

Issue 11 – Hidden Weapon – X-Hunters (Part 1)

Spoiler

1. X dives into X-Hunter Base and winds up in a Colliseum. He faces off against all 3 X-Hunters at the same time.
Adaptation – I think this is really cool, but I might save this Colliseum idea for a Clone Fight instead. I’m not sure.

Issue 12 – Inevitable Battle – X Hunters (Part 2)/Black Zero

Spoiler

1. Black Zero kills Serges?? Did I see that right???
Adaptation – I’m probably going to have X kill Serges, just like in the game, but I really like the idea of Serges’ creation being so evil it killed it’s master.

2. Zero comes to amidst their battle and turns red. He is frightened at the fact that he’s alive and hurt X. He turns black again and X fights him some more.
Adaptation – I really like this, but I don’t think I’m handling it this way…

Issue 13 – Miracle – Black Zero (Part 3) & Sigma

Spoiler

1. X punches the gem on Zero’s helmet and breaks the spell
Adaptation – I like this and might use it, but my biggest problem is that wouldn’t Zero have more of the virus planted inside of his new gem? This is exactly how Sigma got infected…

2. Good Zero & X face Sigma together.
Adaptation – This is a pretty good idea. I may or may not do something like this. I never understood why Zero had to destroy a “Main Computer” other than the fact that it was a Game Mechanic.

3. Dr. Cain picks up X & Zero in a jet after it’s all said and done.
Adaptation – Maybe.

3. The 6th Unit has been captured by Bubble Crab. X must re-take the Deep Sea Base and save his friends, but he encounters another conflict along the way.
4. The 5th Unit & 9th Unit investigate this Dino-tank before X arrives at the scene.
5. X gets a lift from Blast Hornet. Other members from the 0th & 7th investigate the area along with X.
6. Magma Dragoon is defeated by Flame Stag. X must save him.
7. The X-Hunters attacked Maverick Hunter Base and stole Zero’s control chip. The 8th Unit and others attempt to take them on, but to no avail. A Virtual Sword attacks the base and cuts them down. X arrives and defeats the Virtual Sword Monster and realizes that he must go to the source – The Central Computer. {Probably a 2-parter}
X faces Zero
8. Sigma implements his back-up plan. His Robot Junkyard Experiment is a success. X & co. must stop this before it’s too late!!
9. Dr. Cain discovers the X-Hunter Base. X investigates and takes on Violen.
10. Agile
11. Serges
12. Zero Clone
13. Sigma. Our heroes resolve the short-term crisis and peace is again restored, but they are unsure as to how long this peace will last.

The above missions do not represent the amount of episodes in Season II, but at the moment, my rough estimate is that Season II will take place over the course of 15 episodes.

Sigma was actually infected not by shattering Zero's gem, but because the virus was saturating the area they fought in. According to the Zero series Timeline, The virus emanated from Zero's capsule. Sigma was infected during the fight, and Zero had his armor breached at some point, and was also infected. The good Sigma somehow fused with it and became wicked, and the violent Zero was instead somehow pacified. Zero was defeated when his gem got hit, because well, he just took a falcon Sigma punch right square in the forehead. That's where his brain is, and the strong punch right to the cranium, while it was already being attacked by the Virus, knocked him right out.

I assume that the chip might be a sigma virus chip, probably an earlier version of the plan later used in X5, a much smaller scale version, instead planting a virus chip right in his head.


I think an interesting way to fit your vision of a berserk Zero trying to escape from the X hunter base, would be something like this:

Since he has already had the Sigma Virus chip installed, the virus is already starting to affect his systems, messing with his head. So he is totally confused and just messed up. He doesnt know WHAT the fuck's goin' on, and just knows he has to escape from wherever he is. Since he is in such a weak state of mind, the mavericks in the base easily damage and mess him up, not to mention he isnt quite experienced with the saber yet. He only just woke up after all!

As it goes on, the virus takes it's effect, and thats where he would start attacking X.

If you want to fit in Zero killing Serges, (though you said you might not do that) consider that in the manga, one of X's shots chip Zero's helmet gem, which somehow starts to make Zero malfunction. (perhaps it damaged the Virus chip, thus causing a negative reaction?) this could (it's mega science, you aint gotta explain shit) make him start going berserk similarly to X4's flashback, just on a rage bent on killing X, and when Serges tries to intervene for whatever reason, Zero just slices him clean in half or blasts his head off.

if you wanna fit in gate or Doppler, you could make some kind of Science meeting or something, show off a few scientists along with the cameos.

IMO though, gate's troubles should be in their beginnings still. maybe just one "accident" so far or something.

Ahh. When I Post Script S1 - Ep. 5, I'm gonna have to refer to the biohazard symbols on his capsule you recommended. I stand corrected about Sigma's point of infection. X shattering the Zero Gem doesn't sound so out of place any more.

I probably am gonna do something like this. It's all really gonna depend on when exactly I have the X-Hunters steal the Control Chip and when he exactly goes back online.

Hmm. I just realized that it would be the Zero Clone made by Sigma that would do this. If you think about it, it'd make for the perfect Episode ender. Serges dies, X is surprised and worried that Evil Zero is still functional after their recent fight.. and Sigma sets it up with his perfect X2 line. "...It seems that you let him die and he's not too happy about that!" -End Episode- The set up would be PERFECT!

I agree. The cameo will be small, but considering Magna Centipede's spreading of the virus throughout the world from the Central Computer!? (A computer driven virus, I could presume..) I thought of the idea that Lucas from the Research department refers X to him, and they ask for his help to work on an Anti-Virus to counter-attack the outbreak. I want Dr. Doppler to say that he makes no promises as to how soon he can get this done or that he'll be successful. I figure he can introduce his colleagues, Gate & Alia in the same conversation.

And absolutely. Probably only one incident happened at this point if any. I actually thought of a GREAT move, involving Morph Moth's experiment. Having Gate be curious about the whole thing. Still acknowledging that the situation was horrible and that Morph Moth was evil, but also being somewhat interested in the idea that Reploids could come back from the dead... With twisted logic he could make it sound kind of hopeful. To bring old loved ones back to life and what-not.

Anyway, I'll figure out whether I create an incident or not. I do think that by/during the time we get to X-treme 2 though, a couple of these incidents definitely might've happened. Simply because by that point Gate is starting to think that they need a defense team of their own while they work, considering all the things that went down at Laguz Island. And the Doppler Incident that would have just passed.
It's an idea that's still cookin', but I'll figure it out.

in X2, Centipede was transmitting a virus from the central computer facility. of course noone knew it was the Sigma virus, because noone had made the connection yet.

It actually works amazingly well to have Doppler decide to dedicate himself to antivirus research, since by now, it would seem that computer virus warfare has started with the Mavericks. And that within the time between X2 and X3, in that research, is where he discovers that Sigma IS the virus himself, at which point while he is developing the antivirus, Sigma takes over his mind and corrupts him.

side note, I really dont know just how fitting the mega missions would be possible. they are neat, but the way doppler is involved, sets him as an enemy right before X3, when in X3's pre story, he is not yet revealed as a villain.

eh, its not important anyway. The Xtremes carry a bit more importance. (more specifically the second one)

funfact- When Doppler had invited the 8 who would later become his mavericks- to Dopplertown, he had invited Zero as well. But since Zero was busy, he sent Blast Hornet in his place.

Yes!! I knew about that fun fact. I can't wait to have a Blast Hornet - Zero grudge match!! Come Season III that's totally gonna be Zero's fight!!

P.S. I agree. I know 0 about the Mega Missions thing. If I handled it, I'd probably have to pull a DBZ Movie-verse type of thing. Where it doesn't reeally fit, but it could take place during Doppler's Face/Heel turn. Just like every DBZ movie was handled, but namely, the Koola movies taking place of the Frieza Saga, etc. etc.

I've also been thinking that Xtreme & Xtreme 2 should be movie scripts, but they'd have more of a snug place in the timeline between games. With no over-lapping nonsense.

Anyway, in other news, I'm almost ready to start writing again. I figured out a bunch of fun OC stuff that'll make this Season and future seasons nice and interesting =].

While the random factoid is in my head, the 7th Unit is going to be wiped out by Season V... since Zero is all, "I'm the only one left that can pilot this thing..." during the Eurasia Incident.

Well, I would imagine that there would be other pilots left otherwise, but that with the Virus covering the earth, whatever little pilots there remained went maverick, leaving just Zero.

thing about the Mega Missions cards is that they are "semi-canon"

I think Inafune was involved to an extent, I dont quite remember how it works in terms of canon, but they conflict with the timeline. You could always just make them gaidens, "alternate" scenarios to be taken care of after the main games are done and written out already. "Mega Man X GAIDEN: Mega Mission" or the like.

(The rar doesn't work for some reason. Don't know if that's 'cause I'm a Mac or what, but I checked out all of those blog pages) Holy crap man. Honestly... I think all of those Maverick revivals are overkill, but if I do a Movie-verse sort of thing, it'd work out.

In other news, I think this is the last bit of my Brainstorming. I seriously thought about Gate's Chronological tragedies that occur during the series before X6. This is a little bit of Grand Planning, but our decision does affect a bit of Season II believe it or not. So here goes. Here's what I put together. Tell me what you think. If it makes sense, or if you think something else would've happened sooner or what.

X6 Past incidents

Season II

{The events of X2 happen. X saves the day while Gate, Alia & Dr. Doppler monitor his progress from afar.)

1. [During X2] As a direct reaction to the Flame Stag incident, Blaze Heatnix was planned and created by Gate with the ability to handle extremely hot temperatures, allowing him to explore hot spots deep beneath the Earth's crust. Blaze Phoenix became a member of a disaster prevention team created to respond to increased activity from active volcanoes.

{After The Maverick Hunters defeat Morph Moth, Gate is in awe about the experiment and wonders of the potential it had if used for good.}

2. [During Xtreme] Shield Sheldon was created by Gate to serve as a bodyguard for important people. He was renowned for his excellent protection of chiefs of various research institutes. In one incident, however, he was charged with protecting a laser researcher named Dr. Jim. One day Dr. Jim turned Maverick, and Sheldon had no choice but to dispose of him. The Maverick Hunters who arrived on the scene misinterpreted what had happened, and charged Sheldon with being a Maverick for killing Dr. Jim. Under the stress of the incident and the shame of his inability of saving Dr. Jim, Sheldon was driven to taking his own life.

Season III

{During Dr. Doppler’s madness, Gate & Alia relocate to Laguz Island where they meet Berkana. Gate decides to make his next creations at this time. Metal Shark, Infinity Flea, Rain Turtle, Blizzard Wolfang & Commander Yammark.}

{The events of Xtreme 2 happen. Gate becomes interested in X’s power, and decides to try to capitalize on Berkana’s research, but for good.}

Season IV

{A moment of peace is had by the Maverick Hunters. The Reploid researchers however…}

3. [Post Xtreme 2] Metal Shark was created by Gate and made a member of a recycling research team. His ability to analyze Reploid DNA was so great, he was eventually put in charge of a recycling plant. However, Shark's interest in Reploid DNA led him to experiments of creating Reploids using the DNA of felled Mavericks. The aim of his research seemed to be bringing Reploids back from the dead, and Gate encouraged him in this work. DNA resurrection was illegal, however, and Player was disposed of as punishment for his activities.

4. [Post Xtreme 2] Ground Scaravich was once an avid treasure hunter who was wanted by the Maverick Hunters for damaging historic ruins. {Gate meets him and offers to protect him in exchange for the data on old robots he found in the ruins. Eventually, Gate had Scaravich go to the ruins of the laboratory where X was discovered, which was a restricted area. Alia caught him just before he entered, and ended up having to dispose of him.


5. (Pre X4.) Rainy Turtloid was created by Gate as a member of a water quality betterment team. The shell on his back acts as a tremendously strong shield, allowing him to bear all types of water hazards, especially acid rain. He could even enter restricted areas that had level A contamination without harm to himself. However, other researchers argued that Turtloid was too strong, and demanded he be weakened. When Gate refused to do so, he invited harsh punishment upon himself. Not wanting his master to be caused any burden, Turtloid took his own life.

{Gate’s colleagues dislike him and decide to sabotage his experiments.}
{Meanwhile, the events of X4 begin to take place. Gate wants to help.}

6. [During X4]. Infinity Flea was a test pilot for gigantic, manned weapons. {He was preparing to face off against General.} His body contains a fiber optic supercomputer that allows him to analyze any kind of machinery and process information at incredibly fast speed. However, he was often arrogant and hasty, and would completely ignore the testing program, which put many of his associates in peril. Eventually Mijinion was killed in a sabotaged test that was made to look like an accident.

7. [During X4]. Commander Yammark was created by Gate for a forest protection project and made the leader of an observation team. As X investigated the jungle, Yammark observed the scene carefully from afar. However, he accidentally caused a fire that burned down part of the area he was observing. Since his daily performance was otherwise fine Yammark was never charged with a crime, but researchers who disliked Gate conspired against him. They sabotaged Yammark's flying mechanism which caused him to crash and die on another mission.

8. [During X4] Blaze Phoenix and his Disaster Prevention Team investigate the Volcano Magma Dragoon is hiding in. However, because he was so much more powerful than the other members, he disregarded them if they ran into danger, resulting in many losses. Gate was asked to weaken Phoenix to keep him on par with the other members, but Gate ignored these requests. As a result, Phoenix was disposed of.

9. [During X4] Blizzard Wolfang was created by Gate to be the leader of an arctic reclamation team. Having a calm and focused demeanor, he was very well liked by his team. One day, however, Mavericks attacked his team and everyone except him was killed. Researchers who disliked Gate immediately took advantage of the incident and made Wolfang look like the culprit. They instigated Alia to take action, and she ended up disposing of Wolfang.

{Having all of his experiments destroyed, Gate quits.}

{Alia is hired by the Maverick Hunters to be the new Main Navigator by Signas}

Season V

Spoiler

{Gate witnesses the horrific events of X5 from afar in a Private laboratory.}

{The Earth Crisis occurs. X & Zero have their toughest mission yet.}

{Gate investigates the aftermath of the explosion. He becomes infected.}

{Isoc meets Gate. They rebuild his old creations while concocting a plan to spread Mass Paranoia. They build a new reploid named High Max.}

I feel honestly, that Gate rebuilding his creations should be something that happens AFTER he gets infected. I mean, that's why he revived them, to carry out new missions as Nightmare Investigators. I think Turtloid might be the on who mentions something along those lines. Gate was a genius after all, and with Isoc's Help, (given Wily is no stranger to magically having rebuilt RM's once Rock reaches the core of the fortress) It would be no hard task to revive them in a short period of time.

After all, Reploid revival is illegal. even if it was believed that his reploids died in accidents, he would be breaking the law by reviving them pre-infection, and that doesnt seem to be something really high up on gate's priority list. Granted, he encouraged his reploids when they exhibited such practices, but he himself seems a bit too cautious to do it himself and risk being arrested as a criminal. Untill he goes mad that is.

White text at the bottom of the screen reads "July 15th, 21XX". X stands amidst a rocky cliff staring up at the sky. The ocean tides splash against the cliff as the sun shines down on his blue armor. X smiles and focuses his eyes as he pulls up his right X-Buster and charges a shot.

X:

(shouting)

Heeee-YA!!/

At the dash, X shoots a large Blue & Pink Charge Shot. He stares at it with determined eyes as he smiles.

X:

(marvelling)

Ahh... Zero’s power still flows through my veins... even though I had to get rid of the armor.

X’s face becomes completely stern as two quick images of Zero dying flash in his head. A red flash covers the screen, and an image of Zero exploding above Vile's Mech appears. Another red flash covers the screen, and an image of Zero appears, fusing his buster power to X before rolling his head over to the right. A white flash covers the screen, and we zoom in onto X's eyes.

X:

(thinking)

Zero... I WILL avenge you...

Suddenly a high tide of water splashes X in the face and knocks him over.

X:

(surprised)

Huah?!

X looks up and sees a beautiful airborne Mermaid Reploid wink at him.

X:

(laughing)

Aww! Marty!!

X has a slight scowl on his face.

MARTY:

Whatcha doin’ Kiddo? I thought we were going swimming!

Marty lands on the cliff, as her tailfin glows and separates into two legs.

X:

Huh? Yeah!! We’re still on. I was just... thinking...

MARTY:

Yeah yeah. Think, think, think. That’s all you do! Come on, X!

Marty grabs him and marches him over the edge of the cliff.

MARTY:

Let’s work on those Sea Legs!

X:

Haha, alright!!

X dash-jumps below onto the sea and lightly hops on the water along with the tides. Marty smiles a satisfied smile.

MARTY:

Hm... You're learning.

Marty dives into the water, her legs shifting into Mermaid Mode. Upon landing on the ocean waters, she skips and swims along the surface with X.

MARTY:

Come on, X! Faster! Like this!!

Zoom out as the two happily hop away.

It has been 6 months since the destruction of Sigma, and much has happened.

X, Dr. Cain, and all of the Maverick Hunter Units sit in the audience, anticipating the Grand Ceremony of their new Commander. A large, shiny Reploid stands vertically against a wall, offline, with a Royal Banner covering its entire body. The banner displays the Maverick Hunter logo. Dr. Lucas, head of the 11th Medic Unit, stands by with a smug face.

LUCAS:

And now, the moment you've all been waiting for...

Lucas proudly unveils the sheet. A large, shiny, silver and black Reploid stands before them. Everyone gasps upon seeing him.

LUCAS:

Presenting the new and improved... CAPTAIN!! The new Commander of Hunter Base!!

Captain's green eyes go online. The Maverick Hunters clap.

CAPTAIN:

Huh? I'm... Alive?!

CROWD:

(cheering)

Yeeeeaah!!!

X, Dr. Cain and the entire audience cheer louder upon hearing Captain speak, giving him a standing ovation.

DR. CAIN:

Operation Nu Captain was a complete success, and with it order has been restored at Maverick Hunter Base.

INT. MAVERICK HUNTER BASE - CONTROL ROOM - NIGHT

DR. CAIN:

(v.o., contiuous)

With a keen eye to oversee Hunter Base Operations, Captain has fulfilled Zero’s wishes to recycle the parts of those we lost in the war.

Captain commands Blue Noir to pull up old files on his Halogen Screen. A picture of Fire Bear, Blade Varanus & Dive Doverman comes up. Underneath the Reploids are modifications to their design, new names and new Unit assignments reading: Grizzly Slash - 9th Special Ops Unit, Venom Varanus - 9th Special Ops Unit, Night Hound - 0th Shinobi Unit.

On a screen to his right, Captain looks at old pictures of the Quarks from the old 3rd & 4th Unit. Below Nova Quark, Verdant Quark and Cobalt Quark are specs for their newly fitted remodel counterparts: Cyan Quark, Dianthus Quark and Cadmium Quark. They are all assigned to the 3rd “Gamma” Unit.

On a screen to his left, Captain sees a picture of the Bospider with a Maverick logo underneath it. Underneath the Bospider is a picture of a reformatted Reploid named Web Spider. His assignment reads: 0th Unit.

Captain then pulls up a new screen displaying profile photos of 30+ Humanoid Reploids and looks at them with interest.

DR. CAIN:

(v.o., continuous)

The “Ash Men”, former burn victims of Flame Mammoth, have been repaired, recycled and reassigned to serve as Maverick Hunters in many of our vacant Units. Along with them came an influx of even more Maverick Hunters that we have recruited along the way...

Begin a montage of short scenes.

INT. Military Base - Washington - DAY

Text at the bottom of the screen reads "August 12th, 21XX". A small team of red 2nd “Beta” Unit hunters stand at attention before Admiral Jenson. Behind them stands another small team of 3rd “Gamma” Unit Hunters. Cyan, Dianthus & Cadmium Quark stand among three other soldiers.

The Beta & Gamma Units have been reinforced by the revitalized “Ash Men” who feel they have gained a new lease on life and want to use it to serve their country well.

Meanwhile, Magna Centipede has taken up the mantle as leader of the 0th Shinobi Unit in Zero’s honor. He has recruited 13 new warriors who are proud to fight by his side.

Mac and the CAPD have been working hard at trying to find new leads on recent Maverick cases. /...but at times it does get frustrating...

Text at the bottom of the screen reads "September 28th, 21XX". The 7th Air Cavalry flies into battle destroying the few remaining Bee Bladers and Beetrons around. Blast Hornet leads Rayven and Burn Bishop. They are followed by Albatross Traverser, who supplies cover above Red Noir and the other 5 Jet Fliers below.

On the streets below, the 16th Unit Rescue Team are repairing the damage done to the city with ease. Among Green Noir is a team of 9, who happily follow his command.

DR. CAIN:

EXT. Amazon Forest - NIGHT

While still, other teams have been training hard to become the heroes they would like to be.

The text now reads "October 20th, 21XX". 3 new 17th Elite Unit Hunters are being trained by Gravity Beetle. The former "Ash Men"; Castor, Alecto, and Pollux, are training as hard as they can to achieve Gravity Beetle's approval for Field Duty.

GRAVITY BEETLE:

Come on, men! You’re gonna have to do better than that if you wanna call yourselves Elites!

DR. CAIN:

(v.o., continuous)

X has been actively processing third-class Mavericks, who still pledge their allegiance to Sigma. His good friend Reku has been transferred to the 17th Unit to assist X on his missions.

EXT. ABEL CITY - South District - DAY

Text at the bottom of the screen reads "November 14th, 21XX". X and Reku spot a beast Maverick in South District, just below S-Province.

REKU:

(gasps, whispering)

X! Look at that...

X:

Without a doubt... It’s a Maverick.

REKU:

Yeah, but where do you think it came from?

X:

I don't kn- Augh!!

The creature swiftly turns around and lunges after X, taking him by surprise. Reku quickly lashes at the beast with his Electric Whip, but instead of harming the beast, its power increases from the electrical charge. The beast unleashes a wild explosion, knocking both of them further away on the ground. The Beast surrounds himself with an electrical aura and charges after X again. X scowls as he pulls up his buster and charges up. But suddenly, the beast is frozen from behind.

X:

Huh?

X powers down. He looks to his left and right to see two Reploids walking up to the beast. One is a male clad in white and blue armor. The other is a female clad in dark blue, with ice blue hair and eyes. Two others arrive; a male in green armor and a female in red armor with long flowing hair the color of Lava. One summons earth from his buster and crushes the Beast with a huge boulder. The other incinerates the pieces mercilessly.

REKU:

(frightened)

Ahh!!

X gets up and raises his buster with a determined face. Reku follows X’s gesture, cracking his whip against the floor.

X:

Who are you...?

The white and blue Reploid shares X’s exact facial structure and smirks at him. X stares at him with wide eyes, slightly irked.

??????:

Hm...

The Mysterious Reploid teleports away. His three counterparts follow after him.

REKU:

(confused)

Whaaat?! What was that about?

X:

I don't know... But I don't like it.

INT. Maverick Hunter Base - Medic Bay: Infirmary - DAY

The 11th Medic Unit stand alongside the new head of their department, Psi and his Nurse Assistant, Cassandra. Cassandra is giving Frenzy Foxkit a bandaid across his cheek.

CASSANDRA:

(humming to herself)

Hmm hm hm hmm... This may leave a scaaaar.

FRENZY FOXKIT:

Ah whatever!

Reku comlinks in suddenly.

REKU:

(filtered)

Frenzy, this is Reku, do you copy?

FRENZY FOXKIT:

Yeah, I copy big R. What’s up?

REKU:

Keep your eyes open for a gang. They travel in 4s. I don’t know what their deal is, but they act like a bunch of Vigilantes.

Frenzy Foxkit smirks as he gets up from the table.

FRENZY FOXKIT:

You mean like me...

REKU:

Yeah, sorta... See what you and Dragoon can do. Hell, maybe we could even pull them in, like you.

Frenzy Foxkit grins with excitement.

FRENZY FOXKIT:

We're on it!!

DR. CAIN:

(v.o.)

The 14th Unit found themselves with a bit of a Mystery on their hands until recently.

EXT. S-Province Industrial Park - NIGHT

X, Reku & the 14th Unit face off against a final wave of Hoganmer Clones.

DR. CAIN:

(v.o., continuous)

During their investigation, X, Reku, Magma Dragoon and Frenzy Foxkit learned that not all rogue reploids are Mavericks, but some are Vigilantes that take the law into their own hands.

Pan left, and we see the Vigilantes facing off against the swarm of clones as well.

DR. CAIN:

(v.o., continuous)

These four Vigilantes go by the name of Turian, Tethlon, Blaze and Blizzard.

We see still shots of the 4 Vigilantes fighting as their names are announced and written in White text. As Dr. Cain Narrates, the two groups of 4 meet in the middle, back to back. Together they destroy the remaining Hoganmer clones.

DR. CAIN:

(v.o., continuous)

It was only a matter of time before the Maverick Hunters would meet them again. And when they did, they decided to combine efforts in facing against the Mavericks. Together, they defeated the last of the Hoganmer Clones with ease. It was then, that Turian’s gang decided to join the Maverick Hunters as members of the 14th Unit.

X, Reku, Frenzy and Magma Dragoon shake hands with Turian, Tethlon, Blizzard and Blaze respectively. They are surrounded by a pile of defeated Hoganmer Clones. Snow falls and X smiles as he looks up at the night sky. The white text at the bottom of the screen reads December 25, 21XX.

DR. CAIN:

It was a time of rejoicing!

The 13th Unit Wolfpack watches over the Polar Base from the rooftop. The Polar Base is decorated in white lights. Ice Wolfe and his pack of 6 wolves howl at the moon on a moonlit night.

EXT. Crystal Cave - Explosion Site - NIGHT

Harrow Hound and his 12th Mining Unit huddle behind a large rock as a huge mountain explodes.

DR. CAIN:

(v.o.)

It was a time of indulging, just because we could...

Harrow Hound smirks with his team of 8 as they spot a beautiful mine shrouded in Energen Crystals.

HARROW HOUND:

INT. Cain Labs - NIGHT

DR. CAIN:

(v.o.)

And of course, it was a time to show our loved ones how much we care.

Dr. Cain shows X an unfinished model of a new Zero body on a work table. The Control Chip is in a protective case above the body. X gasps and hugs the model with a tear in his eye.

...but little did we know that this was all just a prologue to a new battle. The Real War was about to begin...

A remodeled, offline Zero lies on the work table, almost finished.

SERGES:

Soon Agile... We must build up our forces a little more first. Then, we’ll have a Maverick Army more unstoppable than ever before!

AGILE:

Forgive me sire, but don’t we have enough already? Between brainwashing their troops, controlling a rival gang and persuading the others to join us... Don’t you think we have enough this time?

SERGES:

Don’t be hasty, Agile. We have to make sure we dangle our carrot accordingly to keep the Hero occupied. We will exhaust him, then attack at the moment when he least expects it!! The white text at the bottom of the screen reads January 8, 21XX – Today. Lucas and his team are researching the locations of recent Maverick activity to try and find a pattern to recent attacks. Suddenly, all of their lights go out. Every Monitor in the Entire Base goes static. Dr. Cain gasps.

Captain’s screen displays a black and white picture of Sigma.

CAPTAIN:

X and Reku stare at the TV screen.

X:

Oh no...

You have won a temporary victory, X! What you destroyed was only a temporary body -- My spirit remains intact.

DR. CAIN:

The broadcast feed instantaneously cuts out. All power reverts back to normal.

LUCAS:

(overlapping)

DR. CAIN:

Captain takes a deep breath.

CAPTAIN:

Blue Noir stares at Captain, wide eyed.

BLUE NOIR:

X pounds his fist against the table while Reku throws his playing cards across the table.

I KNOW!! Damn it... Just when we thought it was really finished...!

REKU:

X’s eyes become watery as he holds two tears back.

YOU’RE the Hero, X. You saved the world from Sigma’s Rebellion and we cleaned up his mess.

X blinks and his eyes become dry.

I only did what I had to do! And it still wasn’t enough...

Reku shakes his head and continues.

REKU:

No, X. You pummeled him to ashes! And that Old Man revived him somehow. I just know it!

X:

How are you so sure?

REKU:

Because Magune ran into the same people. And when he attempted to take them down, suddenly he got caught up in the madness and went Maverick. Doesn’t that sound a little too convenient to you?

X widens his eyes and thinks aloud.

X:

EXT. CENTRAL COMPUTER - OUTSKIRTS - DAY

The white Text reads August 23, 21XX. Magna Centipede stands with his team battle ready.

MAGNA CENTIPEDE:

Well... if it isn’t the Road Riders. This’ll be a synch.

He attempted a reconnaissance mission at the Central Computer shortly after I defeated Sigma. He went with his team to investigate the mysterious deaths of all those innocent workers.

Magna Centipede launches himself upwards and tosses Shurikens with his bottom hands, and Magnet Mines with his top hands. Magna Centipede points his team in various directions with his 4 sets of hands.

MAGNA CENTIPEDE:

Arrow Scorpionfly! I need your Arrows up here. Shock Rhesus – stick with Web Spider over there. You both have similar powers. Night Hound, Dark Panther – you two stay together and cut through the middle. The rest of you, follow me. I’m going in!

Magune phase-teleports inside the building with six Shinobi Ninjas. Once inside, they drop down into the Core Room of the Central Computer.

X:

(v.o.)

I think... that something went drastically wrong on that mission...

One triggers an alarm by accident. Then another. Then, suddenly, all sights are on them. Lasers fire from Barrier Attackers everywhere. As Magna Centipede lands, he is fully analyzed by the Mother Computer. Instantly he is crushed by a Raider Killer, who lands on top of him.

As Magune is analyzed, the Raider Killer becomes Purple, absorbing his massive power temporarily. The Raider Killer shoots a Magnet Mine directly at Magune, blowing off a part of his ribs in the process.

MAGNA CENTIPEDE:

(in pain)

Aaagh!!!

X:

(v.o.)

I think that Magune was compromised... The others say that he went Maverick, but... he’s better than that. I don’t think he turned on anyone. Something must’ve happened to him.

A Cyber Sword comes after Magna Centipede and stabs him in the heart.

MAGNA CENTIPEDE:

(in pain)

Wuaaaaaah!!

Magna Centipede’s metallic coloring becomes darker, his eyes a darker shade of purple. The rest of the Shinobi Ninjas made it to Magna Centipede’s position by that point and are frightened by his evil appearance.

REKU:

(v.o.)

You think he was brainwashed?

Magna Centipede fires a Magnet Mine at the Shinobi Ninjas. One Ninja blocks the attack with her B-Fan. As the mine explodes, all of the ninjas fall to the ground.

SHINOBI 1:

Retreat!!

The six Shinobi disappear in a cloud of smoke.

X:

Something bigger is definitely at stake here... And we have to get to the bottom of it, before we lose any more friends.

I’m not entirely convinced that they went Maverick yet either... They never did get along. It was only a matter of time before they’d start fighting each other... Vortex Orca only did what he had to do...

The white text at the bottom of the screen reads September 13, 21XX. An irate Wheel Gator passes by Bubble Crab who is surfing the web instead of actively searching for Underwater Maverick Activity.

WHEEL GATOR:

You IDIOT! What are you doing? You're supposed to be WORKING!

Bubble Crab stares at pictures of famous buried treasure on the Internet.

BUBBLE CRAB:

Oh put a sock in it, Alligates... A crab can dream.

WHEEL GATOR:

All you ever DO is Day Dream!! Get it together...

Wheel Gator closes the browser.

WHEEL GATOR:

(menacing)

Or get out.

Bubble Crab turns his head with a sly grin.

BUBBLE CRAB:

Why should I listen to you? You’re not the boss anymore...

Wheel Gator growls and grabs him by the throat, digging his nails into Bubble Crab’s neck.

WHEEL GATOR:

Don’t try me today! You will lose!!

BUBBLE CRAB:

Agh! Back OFF!!

Bubble Crab shoots shoulder plasma at Wheel Gator, knocking him down. He then puts up a Bubble Shield as he intensifies his power.

WHEEL GATOR:

rrrRAAAAH-!

Wheel Gator shoves Bubble Crab against the wall. His Bubble Shield damages the computer control panel behind him. Suddenly they were both shot down to the floor by a Hydro-Tornado.

VORTEX ORCA:

That’s enough from BOTH of you!! Don’t forget, Commander X declared ME the new Captain of this vessel. He warned me about you two, not being able to get along. I’ve tried to put up with it, but NOT ANYMORE! Do you hear me!? I am sick and tired of your insubordination! Both of you are fired!!

X:

(v.o.)

He fired them both for their constant insubordination, but that’s when things got out of hand...

The two look at Vortex Orca with wide eyes of disbelief. Bubble Crab then narrows his eyes and shrugs.

BUBBLE CRAB:

Screw this, I quit.

WHEEL GATOR:

Huh?!

BUBBLE CRAB:

This Team isn’t what it used to be any more... I hate working with you and I hate this job! All I really want to do is find buried treasure and get rich. Then, when I’m the richest Reploid in town I won’t have to listen to you, or ANYBODY else ever again! Now Get out of my way!!

Bubble Crab shoulder checks Vortex Orca and shoves Wheel Gator with his right hand on his way out of the Base. Wheel Gator is dumbstruck as he watches Bubble Crab leave.

BUBBLE CRAB:

I’m outta here!!

Vortex Orca is surprised at Bubble Crab’s reaction. He then turns to see Wheel Gator who stares at him evilly.

WHEEL GATOR:

You are going to pay dearly for what you’ve done today!!

Wheel Gator roars as he grabs Vortex Orca's hand and breaks his wrist.

VORTEX ORCA:

Aaaahh!! Take him out, men! Gator's gone rogue!!

Wheel Gator takes a huge bite out of Vortex Orca’s chest as he begins his assault. Vortex Orca flailed in the air helplessly as Wheel Gator chewed off his chest piece. A Hunter with the design of a Neon Fish, known as ELECTRIC NEON ran after him.

ELECTRIC NEON:

Why YOU!?

Wheel Gator holds up a Spin Wheel threateningly as he spits out Orca onto the floor.

WHEEL GATOR:

(taunting)

Ah ah aaaah...

Wheel Gator fires a Spin Wheel at Electric Neon. The Spin Wheel slices part of his arm off. Neon holds onto his wound and stares at Wheel Gator in fear.

????:

Rrgh, damn you! How 'bout some Bolt Barracuda?!

BOLT BARRACUDA shocks Wheel Gator.

???????:

Yeah! Don't forget the Typhoon Tetra!!

TYPHOON TETRA leaps out of the shadows and blows Wheel Gator towards the entrance hatch.

WHEEL GATOR:

Aagh!

Wheel Gator scrapes his nails against the walls as he is blown towards the door. A soldier named JACK MACKEREL smirks.

JACK MACKEREL:

Hmph. Jack-bombs!!

Hyrdo-bombs in the shape of Jacks blow up in Wheel Gator’s face, causing minimal damage. Then to his surprise a spear is thrown directly into his chest.

(winks)

Gotcha! A little parting gift from /Spear Marlin!!

SPEAR MARLIN snaps his fingers and pounds the side panel to release the escape hatch.

?????:

So long, Gator! Plasma Ray!!

A Manta Ray Reploid shoots him directly out of the Base, after Spear Marlin opens up the hatch. Vortex Orca stands, heaving at the doorway, held up by his team.

VORTEX ORCA:

Stay away from us, Wheel Gator... This is my team now. If we spot you trying to attack one of us or any of the Maverick Hunters again, you will be hunted down as a Maverick. Mark my words.

Defeated, Wheel Gator picks himself up from the surface, pulls the Spear out from his chest and breaks it upon his knee. He then points at Vortex Orca with fervor.

WHEEL GATOR:

And you mark my words... You’re gonna wish... you never touched me... ALL OF YOU!!

We lost 2 good members of the Team that day, but I don’t think they’re Mavericks. At least... I hope not. These Incidents have become so frequent that it’s becoming an epidemic! So Dr. Cain, Lucas and I sought help...

The white text reads November 22, 21XX. Lucas, the head of the 15th Research Team, leads X and Dr. Cain confidently through the halls of the Reploid Research Laboratory.

LUCAS:

We’re doing the right thing. Trust me. If there’s anyone that can help us out, he can.

Lucas presses a button on a control panel, and a secretary buzzes them into a Glass Chamber office.

...Lucas? Is that you?

LUCAS:

(surprised)

...Dr. Jim?

DR. JIM:

Ah! It is you!!

Dr. Jim gives Lucas a firm handshake and pats Lucas on the shoulder with his left hand.

DR. JIM:

What brings you here buddy?

LUCAS:

We have an appointment with Dr. Doppler.

DR. JIM:

The big guy himself, huh? Must be pretty important...

LUCAS:

Oh, it is.

X, Dr. Cain, Lucas and a tall Doctor with a large white beard analyze Maverick Control and Weapon chips that X has found on his previous missions.

X:

So, do you think you can help us Dr. Doppler??

DR. DOPPLER:

These chips all share a common DNA pattern. They all share the same type of Malicious Code. It’s like nothing I’ve ever seen before! This is fascinating!! There is no coincidence that each of these Reploids were Mavericks X. This program might be akin to some sort of... Maverick Virus!

X:

Oh No!!

DR. DOPPLER:

Don't worry X. Reploid Analysis is our specialty here at the Research Facility. Of course I can help you out!

X smiles in awe.

DR. CAIN:

(gasping)

Thank you, Doctor. I can’t tell you how grateful we are for this.

DR. DOPPLER:

(sternly)

Now, I can’t promise you anything. If this is a Virus, finding the precise antibodies is going to take time. This isn’t going to happen overnight. But what I can do is tell you that I will do my absolute best to find a cure. From here on in, I’ll be experimenting my formulas on live Specimen until I get the Anti-Virus formula properties right!

LUCAS:

(amazed)

Just then, two of Dr. Doppler’s assistants come through the door carrying heavy boxes of work materials. A purple scientist in a white lab coat interrupts.

Dr. Doppler... Here are the files of all the Mavericks you asked for.

A blonde scientist dressed in pink drops a second box stacked with files on one of Dr. Doppler’s work tables.

DR. DOPPLER:

Ah. Gate and Alia... I would like you to meet our new friends – The Maverick Hunters. This is Dr. Cain, Lucas and X. They’re going to be supplying us with a lot of work for the next year and it should be very exciting!

GATE:

(waves shyly)

Alia combs her hair as she looks at X and blushes with a slight smile.

X:

(blushes)

Dr. Doppler claps his hands together with zest.

DR. DOPPLER:

Well! We’d better get to work folks!! We’ve got a world to save and my Neuro Computer has the answer! Gate!! Boot me up!!

GATE:

Right away, sir.

DR. DOPPLER:

ALIA:

Yes Doctor. Right this way Gentlemen.

The Maverick revolt begun by Sigma is not over after all... We have yet to destroy all of his followers and now I fear that a successor might have revived him.

X:

REKU:

(nods with worry)

It's that old man, I just know it...

DR. CAIN:

X, my Intel Division have tracked down the call to an abandoned reploid factory, just South of the Robot Junkyard. Perhaps this is where you will find the last of the Mavericks! Wipe out the last of the resistance X. Go now, before it’s too late!!

X:

Right!!

INT. MAVERICK HUNTER BASE - Dock - NIGHT

X hops on his Ride Chaser and revs it up. Reku then hops on his.

REKU:

Oh man X, I can feel it. This is gonna be one Hell of a night!

X nods to Reku.

X:

(determined)

Let's go.

Reku smiles at X.

REKU:

Yeah! Let's do this!!

Reku revs up his Ride Chaser and rides off. X follows closely.

-cut to-

EXT. S-PROVINCE - NIGHT

X and Reku make it to S-Province before they notice any Maverick activity. Once there, they see Road Riders driving around.

X:

(narrows his eyes)

Road Riders... Should've known.

X and Reku shoot them down with their Ride Chasers. The gang of 5 Road Riders are demolished. As the two ride on, they spot a swarm of Alpha Soldiers waiting for them. X and Reku quickly brake on their Ride Chasers.

ALPHA SOLDIER 1:

There you are, X....

ALPHA SOLDIER 2:

We've missed you!!

X:

This isn't good...

REKU:

There's too many of them!!

X:

Only one thing left to do! (shouting) Charge Shoooot!!

Suddenly all 20 Alpha Soldiers are lifted from the ground with ease, their Ride Armors flipped upside down. The Alpha Soldiers all topple down to the ground from 4 stories high. Most break their legs upon the fall.

ALPHA SOLDIERS:

Gaaaaah!!!

X:

(confused)

Huh?

X looks up and sees Gravity Beetle saluting him from on top of a building.

GRAVITY BEETLE:

Did you think I was gonna let you go ahead and have all the fun, X!?

X smiles suddenly.

GRAVITY BEETLE:

Now go ahead and BLAST 'em!!

X’s eyes glimmer with a green glow as he shot out his fully-powered Charge Shot.

X:

Yah!!

X and Reku charge through an explosion of Alpha Soldiers. They then see an array of Cannon Drivers guarding a building in the far background.

X:

That must be it! The factory!!

X com-links Hunter Base.

X:

X to HQ. All Hunters respond. Hot Spot is confirmed. Coordinates are at point B-19. Repeat, Mavericks at point B-19!

X and Reku dodge the blasts from the Cannon Drivers as they draw closer and closer. X shoots one down to scrap and uses its top shell as a ramp to get airborne and escape the line of fire. Reku stares at X in awe, and then pops a few wheelies after attacking two Cannon Drivers ahead of him. X shoots a Cannon Driver to his right while his Chaser shoots down another on his left. Reku suddenly receives a com-link through his Ride Chaser.

MAGMA DRAGOON:

(filtered)

Reku, this is Dragoon. The 14th Unit has arrived for back up. I repeat. We got your back buddy. ALL of us!

REKU:

(excited)

Heeeell yeah!! Nothing can stop us now!!

Reku pops a wheelie as they near the factory.

X:

Reku! Watch out!!

A heavily armed Cannon Driver shoots sharp green lasers towards them. X gets hit in the tailpipe while his head is turned towards Reku.

X:

(gasps)

Oh no! I'm hit!!

REKU:

(aggressive)

Aaahhh!!

As Reku's chaser pops up, the lasers pierce through the bottom of his Ride Chaser. The lasers cut through the Chaser and his body.

REKU:

(in pain)

Augh!!

Reku spits out blood as his chaser catches on fire.

X:

(horrified)

No!! REKUUUUUU!!!

Reku looks at X with big frightened eyes as his Ride Chaser begins to explode.

REKU:

X!!!!

Slow motion of Reku reaching out as his arm blows out of its socket. Then his chest pieces, then his torso, and then his head, followed by a core system explosion. Back at normal speed, Reku's parts scatter all across the field. Some of Reku's blood smears on X's face.

X:

Aaaah!! Rekuuuuu! NOOOOOO!!!

Freeze Frame grainy effect on the scene.

DR. CAIN:

(v.o.)

The losses have begun as X is beginning to realize that they are once again at War. Will he be able to hold his emotions together, or will this loss give X the push he needs to finish the Maverick Wars once and for all? And what other surprises await him inside the Factory? Is Sigma really back? Be careful X. We’re all counting on you!

The Second Season is already off to an awesome EXPLOSIVE START!

It's good to see how the Hunter units are all dealing with the changes in leadership and new members, as well as the Scientists being introduced. And I love how Reku has important, shining moments in this episode, in his conversations with X and how they worked together as a team.

More "seeds" of the X series' plot-lines are being planted, and more will be planted as we go along. Looking forward to seeing how this plays out! Enjoyed it so much!!!... Keep it UP, yo'!
