I swear to fucking god if this was only an April Fool's thing I'm going to legitimately flip the hell out and go on a murderous rampage the likes no one has ever seen.

That was LEGITIMATELY on last night and I watched the entire thing. It was amazing to see it back, it better not be a joke >.<

Oh... my... GAWD! I can't even believe this. I didn't know it was on, even though I was up all night. If this was an April Fools joke and I missed the only airing of Toonami in HOW many years... care if I tag along Justin? >=]

If this is permanent, it's easily one of the most awesome things I've seen done in my lifetime. Not only is it Toonami, but it's the way it should be. Exactly like I remember. I was so glad to see Nick make "The 90's Are All That" happen, but add Toonami to the mix... dude, that's my entire childhood, what more could one ask for?

I honestly thought I missed it, but I was lucky enough to have been recording when DBZ came on. I thought it was ironic when Yamcha said the following "I haven't heard that in years.." It kinda made me sad almost.. Even though they may not bring it back, It was pretty awesome seeing it back again.. just awesome!

Worth noting that Cowboy Bebop was always on adult swim and is still a part of their regular Saturday lineup, as is Big O.
I thought it was a really cool April Fool's joke. It was awesome nostalgia, but I don't necessarily think they should bring Toonami back. It was a great idea because the people who would have watched Toonami in the 90s and early 00s would now be in the adult swim demographic. Bringing back Toonami would be weird because their target audience would have never really watched Toonami. And it would mean that William's Street absolutely dominates Cartoon Network.

I feel it may be more than a joke. Even it's painful and all...I happened to miss it all anyway. Curses. Drat. SHIT.

It could perhaps be a way to gauge interest in a possible new Toonami broadcast. Then again...do we REALLY want it? Nostalgia is a type of drug and it is lovely to live under its influence. The only way I feel it should return is with a mix of both new and old animes.

If you want my opinion, I feel one of the perfect things they can do upon a comeback is to secure rights to air the redub of Sailor Moon if it ever comes stateside. It would be wonderful and hundreds of thousands would view with gusto. Coming up soon, I am going to meet the prominent voice actress for Sailor Moon in DiC's dub, Terri Hawkes, at her first ever public appearance at a convention. Maybe...just maybe...there will be some info given about such subjects. Here's hoping!

Maybe I'm wrong, but wouldn't CN have had to have put a decent amount of money into getting these episodes on air? Maybe I'm missing something, some little loophole-esque thing... I've heard Adult Swim's April Fools jokes are usually pretty over the top, but still. And I didn't know you could get individual episodes of a television show to air only once, simply because it's not profitable for either company. I thought it's always done by season or at least random, multiple episodes. (Like a "best of" similar to what you see with most syndicated sitcoms.)

Anyway. I'm usually not a petition guy, considering they almost never work, but since there's actually real interest in this I'm gonna post it.

Since yesterday it's already gotten over 5,000 signatures, before I finished this post it went up about 50. In a couple days...

The signatures are officially... "Vegeta, what does the scouter say about its signature level?" "It's OVER 9,000!!!" (Oh come on, it's worth it for Toonami!)

Steve Blum (Tom) also posted the link to Cartoon Network feedback on his Twitter, but I'll post Adult Swim's as well, if you should choose to send a message to either directly.
