Now, this isn't really computer related. It's more of a general technology question in which I'd like to get some opinions and tips. Here is my situation: I have a home theatre system with one little HDMI output slot. What I'd like to do is be able to use it's upscaling DVD capabilities with my HDTV as well as using it's surround sound in conjunction with my game systems.
Thing is, with only one output, I suppose it's expected to just connect it to the TV alone and that's that, but that simply wont do. So I figured there would be some sort of splitter device out there that would act as a type of multitap and add more slots. I found such as device on eBay. A Hong Kong special: http://www.ebay.com/...984.m1423.l2649
So it says it extends the output to two outputs, which seems to allow it to...be used with two TV's or maybe a TV and projector. Fair enough, but I am wondering if it can be used to input an HDMI from said game systems and output another HDMI cable, fed to the HDTV and would it link them all together as a middle ground. If not, that sucks, but that's what I am aiming to do.
Any assistance or tips on how to make this work would be greatly appreciated.
