Man...Maverick Hunter X has such a strong resilience, there's simply no way someone hasn't played it in some form. It seems always readily available. Whether it be on the PSP itself in UMD format (by means of any of the re-releases too), through the PSN as a digital download (with multiple discounts at certain points in time), or now that digital version being compatible with the PlayStation Vita. That's right, Maverick Hunter X downloaded from the PSN will be compatible with the Vita at launch. I can't fathom such fans as ourselves not having played it by now, but if you happen to be one of them, it's better late than never they always say! It's a great game!

Even though I'm more interested in a possible Maverick Hunter X2 or something, this is a nice opportunity for people who haven't already played this game to, well...play this game.

I never had a PSP and aren't really interested in a Vita, so I'll pass I guess. I just wish they'd give the option to play portable games bought via PSN on PS3 if it's all under the same account. It'd look really pixelated n' stuff, but still.

i have never played maverik hunter x ever because i do not own a PSP,and i do not plan on owning a Vita.i wish it would be re-released on steam.

This is great news! Now, people would be able to play this again. Which means there's a chance for new fans to enjoy the series. If the sales for this are convincing, they may just make a sequel. Money is Capcom's language, so hopefully Vita fans would pick this up and show Capcom Megaman X is profitable.

You know, after all this time the game has been up for sale, you'd think they would have accumulated enough sales to say "Alright, this game is still selling, people still like it, let's make another one!". If a MHX2 gets made, it will without a doubt be a downloadable game only. I am unsure if they would take up a Vita cart for a game of that size...but I'd prefer it. With better graphics and everything.

@ Mac: When it comes to sales, I think Capcom has a really short attention span. It'd make so much sense for them to release a Maverick Hunter X2 (for the Vita at least), because the Maverick Hunter X series so far has only been on Sony handhelds. Then again, with Inafune-san gone, it probably wouldn't be made with the same production quality as the original.

@MegamanY: I know right? There IS a solution, UMD Passport, but it's only in Japan.

I still haven't bought this game, and I'm very unsure of when I will, but what confuses me the most. Is why so many people seem to dislike the PSP Vita, then again.. I haven't been keeping an eye on it.

Horrible battery life (if you thought 3DS was bad, you'll really dislike this)

I didn't care for my bro's PSP when I played it once and this seems like a slightly bigger one with an extra thumbstick..........wooooooo.

Anyway, I have only played this game briefly and it just seems a tad off from the original. I don't know if it's the 3D models or the controls, but it's not quite as responsive as the X1. It's not a HUGE problem or even that noticable if you haven't played the sprite based games in awhile, but it's enough that it will cause you slight annoyance.

Also, have the remixed tunes they goofed. You screw up modernizing arguably the greatest soundtrack in MM history and that is a cardinal sin my friend.

I still haven't played this. I wish this game (and some other PSP titles) would at least get ported to the PS3's PSN store so I can play them. I still think that this and MMPU getting ported to the PS2 way back when would've been a good move.

I've already bought Marvel Vs Capcom 3 twice....I refuse to buy it a third time just so I can play it on Vita and i'm DEFINITELY not getting MMHX twice (unless t hey are adding new content)......if I even get one....250 dollars for a handheld? I rather get a PS3...same price PLUS I get a blueray player included >.> I realize that with greater technology comes a bigger price, but think for a moment Sony .... just think..... I have a horrible premonition that this will end up like the 3DS.

I wish they could or would put MHX 1 and Mega Man power up on the 3ds. I am not very interested in the vvita.

I know what's off! The movements! The movements of whatever in MHX were a milliseconds slower than the original, and the movements are oddly, overly smooth too. That's a cute factor for me, but it could get really weird and disturbing at times. xD;; Anyway...

Upon reading what exactly are the capabilities of PSVita, it became a favorite console of mine. Lo and behold, and being able to play MHX on that would be heaven. C< Silence in awestruck command, activate!
