For fans, anybody notice season 2 has an awful lot of Rainbow Dash and Applejack episodes, particularly Apple family? Sisterhooves Social (Apple family annual event), Cutie Pox (Applebloom), Family Appreciation Day (moar Applebloom), The Last Roundup, The Super Squeezy Cider... Something 6000 (Apple family)... For Rainbow, Mare Do Well, May the Best Pet Win, Read it and Weep...

I feel My Little Pony has been overwhelmingly blown out of proportion due to the vast majority of the internet for reasons I can't fathom. I see My Little Pony almost everywhere I go now. What's the appeal? For every true My Little Pony fan out there, there is at least one hundred posers out there that like it because they thinks it makes them "cool". What the heck is so cool about it? Why has it become a meme of sorts? All I know is that Hasbro is getting a kick out of all the attention and probably get major ratings for the show on The Hub. In the end, the way it seems to me is that everyone is loving MLP due to some underlying, ironic poison so to speak. Surely they can't love it for the art style, the cutesy attitude and the kiddy age group it's geared towards. Christ, it's almost worst than Spongebob. o_o

Also, wasn't MLP threads and shit banned from 4chan even? That's pretty bad when 4chan can't even fathom that mess.

I agree with Mac to an extent. It has been blown outta proportion... but it does appeal to me. the art style actually is nice and the plot of most episodes aren't typical little girl things. there are some kiddie moments, but there are some older audiende things. I don't think I'm popular for liking it, I just have no shame and expect people to realize that my opinion is the show is a fun watch, regardless of it's audience. The same could be said of Zelda, or Mario, or Mega Man. Art style, plot, target audience, doesn't matter. What does matter is how people project the shows image. I just think it's an instance in life where some crazed fan____ are annoying. Naruto? Popular manga, good manga. Fans however wind up going "omg best manga eva u fag if u no read". THOSE fanboys make the product tire and seem stupid, bullshit and annoying. I try to pay attention to fans like me who know the product isn't the best but it is good. I don't look at Mario and go "Stupid kids game" but rather, I try to understand it. And that is my two cents.

Yeah, that does seem to be the way people work nowadays, especially the younger youths of today. Something comes along and people start liking it, then sooner or later someone takes it and runs with it. Perhaps because it makes the younger audiences feel accepted in older crowds? I really dunno, but as I said, for every true fan (like you, Masato) there's others that just try to fall in with the crowd, then it becomes "cool" then it kinda gets sullied to an extent. =/

I just don't see how anyone can like it so much as to make the internet explode with it. Pictures, adapting them to other memes, youtube poops, other vids. It's carazy.

It is which is why if I ever indulge in fanworks, I don't make it to be cool or accepted, I make it for adding onto the content. I try to make it a worthwhile thing rather than just because 'it r awesum'. Again, it depends on the fans who actually watch it. Most need to tone it down, people like me need to give it the credit it deserves.

My two closest friends are fans of this show and have tried to get me into it. But I still don't care for it. I saw one episode and that was it for me. I don't see the appeal.

I hate it. I might even hate MLP more than Twilight. I would never say this to my friends. And yes, I do mean it. SCREW THIS SHOW!
