i had this idea for a remake of megaman zero 1.it's like maverik hunter X.HD graphics,improved soundtrack,and a 30 minute anime that explains the elf wars.so who thinks this is a good idea?

Honestly I'd love any X or Zero game that gets the same treatment as MHX.

They should make a prequel-remake of the Zero series, the first half takes place in the Elf Wars and the second half is the remake of Zero 1. It should answer questions that the fans are asking about the series such as; What happened to Axl? or how does the whole Elf Wars Play out? It would kind of be like Metroid Zero Mission. X would be playable for some of it, we would see the birth of the 4 guardians and Copy X, and the first battle between Omega and Zero. We would see X seal the dark elf within his body, How Dr.Vile/Weil made the dark elf, and maybe even a couple of other characters that were big in the Zero saga would be explained (Elpizo, Kraft, ETC). I always had the Idea that Elpizo was a sleeper agent left behind by Dr.Weil in case he was unable to complete his plan. Elpizo was controlled via radio signals (a very primitive but effective way of Reploid control). Weil was unaware of Zeros return and had no way of knowing until it was too late. Elpizo was being hypnotized to cause the resistance to be weakened (Operation Righteous Strike) and to release the Dark Elf, upon releasing the Dark Elf he was to destroy the 4 guardians and the resistance, Weil would return, forcibly purge the Dark Elf's power from Elpizo and pass it into Omega and become a tyrannical leader of earth.But we all know how that went. But the Elf wars should reveal many more secrets leading to the events of the Zero series.

Well X9 doesn't necessarily have to take place in the elf wars, Axl doesn't have to die in X9. He could very well live on into the elf wars. X9 could just prelude the elf wars, or it could take place 100 years before.

So, basically, X9 could just be the very start of the Elf Wars, explaining everything and such, and it would lead directly into the first half of your remake?

i think X10 should end the x series.it would not only be a sequel to X9(if it comes out)but also a prequel to Zero 1

For the most part, yes. We would see why the characters look so different between series as well, I would imagine the 4 guardians would begin to be constructed in X9, and Debut in The Mega Man Zero Chronicles: Fateful Beginnings. All sorts of characters would appear in x9 and MMZC, In fact I may just begin writing X9 and TMMZC, of course if one is remade the others would have to be as well, Zero 2 and 3 would be revamped as Mega Man Zero Chronicles: Dark Elf Crisis, Leading into the big finale which would be a remake of Zero 4 and a Prequel to ZX called Mega Man Zero Chronicles: The fall of Neo Arcadia and the rise of Inner Peace. of course there would be slight changes and additions, Expect to see the following

Not sure what you could expand upon.. we know how Omega got Zero's body: Weil jacked it. We know what happened to the remaining Three Guardians after Zero 3: They died in Omega's explosion due to already being gravely injured. We know why Elpizo turned on the humans: There's an entire drama track dedicated to it named Clockwork Apple, going into full detail of his fall and even expanding upon how he knew about the Dark Elf. We know Zero's true fate at the end of Zero 4, the game shows it to us - he's dead, Jim.

well the drama tracks are all in Japanese, seeing as I am Canadian (we actually put japanese Canadians in concentration camps in ww2 off subject) and besides, the best thing about writing a prequel and side stories is that you can ad anything so long as it ties in properly with the original source material, who knows if Zero was truly dead. wasnt it once said that the 3 guardians survived and saved people in neo arcadia. Has it not been speculated the Weil influenced Elpizo. Kraft has the potential to be written into some of the events of prior games. However I must say Zero series is the most plot thick of the franchise.

The difference between everything you just said is that we have factual proof that says 'no'. We assumed the Three Guardians had survived and saved people in Neo Arcadia, and then the source material was released and officially stated that they died. I've never heard any speculation of Weil influencing Elpizo, more than likely due to the fact that it is ludicrous and we know exactly what went down with Elpizo (your not knowing Japanese is irrelevant, since that drama track and many others has actually been translated, so you have no excuse not to know it). And as for if Zero is truly dead or not? Yes, he is. You know why he's definitely dead? The ZX series.

He didn't jack it. Jacking implies illegal activity, theft. Dr. Vile instead obtained the body of Zero as part of his research and Project Elpis.

We didn't assume. Inti Creates stated they didn't have a place for the three guardians in ZERO4, which is why they were left out. We were told they were most likely elsewhere, assisting humans.

While this is a bit off topic, viewing this was the first time I really looked at the title of TK-31's track. Now, Im not sure if Clockwork means something more than how a clock works, or usage on a machine that uses gears to run it, but is that track title intended to be a parody of 'A Clockwork Orange'? If Im not mistaken, the way Elpis narrated it was similar to the way the anarchist did in the movie itself.

Yup, Vile, it is a reference to 'A Clockwork Orange'. Incidentally the switch to Apple instead of Orange also fits in since the anarchistic lead of A Clockwork Orange is a violent and disruptive member of society, punished by the government effectively and forced to undergo a change into a civilized member of society, whereas the opposite happens in 'A Clockwork Apple', where TK-31 is an upstanding and loyal member of society, but is unduly punished by the government and forced into a situation that makes him an anarchist and a rebel.

Effectively the two are 'as different as apples and oranges'.

Hello Guys I also think this is a good idea like these are my favorite series and I want a friend of mine to help me to make the remake as he knows much about modding and stuff he can help me I just need to show him how good the Mega Man Zero Series are :) . And we sure need a prequel to Zero 1 because very little is said about the elf wars and stuff so I think they should do mega man x9 and x10 than a game of somekind Mega Man Zero and X or something like that about the elf wars and after that Zero 1 so it will be even for new players to understand the story good :) .

If they did a remake i would prefer that they follow after x5 to show the elf wars. and i sincerely hope there is no mention of Axl.

Then X7, X8, and Command Mission shouldn't be canon, huh? Whether the fans like him or not, Axl is now a central character to the Mega Man X series. There are many questions regarding him that have not been answered. Dropping him completely would create a plot hole or two. And besides, dropping him would upset the Axl fans, if you haven't already guessed.

And by following after X5, I'm guessing you mean directly after X5, as in ignoring everything afterwards and disregarding everything as non-canon until the Mega Man Zero series comes along.
