Wouldn't it be kind of neat if there was a Mega Man 0 game made for the Classic Mega Man series?

The story would go like this:

Dr. Wily realizes that his plans for world domination will always as long as Mega Man is around (and probably feels the same about Proto Man) so, ( to make Mega Man 0 more like Mega Man 1), he creates SIX (not eight) new Robot Masters and travels back in time with them and Bass and Treble, hoping to stop Dr. Light from creating Mega Man (and as I said, possibly Proto Man) Bass only goes with Wily because he wants a chance to fight and defeat Mega Man, and Dr. Light and Mega Man learn of this plan through Proto Man spying on Wily, so Dr. Light sends Mega Man, Proto Man and Rush back in time, to stop Wily from carrying out his plans.


Thus, Mega Man 0 is born.

I will not name any Robot Masters for the game, as many of us have already created new Robot Masters in other threads. So, use your imagination in that part. But there should be a Classic Mega Man type (8 bit or, whatever style Mega Man 1-6 and 9 & 10 were) battle with Bass, both with, and without Treble, and for the first time EVER, a battle with Treble ALONE, as in, without Bass. There will still be eight stages to choose from, only, two of the stages, will be, one reserved for Bass alone, and the other stage, for Treble alone, but you have to defeat the six robot masters before unlocking Bass's stage, and defeat Bass to unlock Treble's stage. Treble will fight much like Valguader in Mega Man X1 (jumping off walls, fire breath) You fight Bass and Treble merged in as one in the third of four Wily stages, and get this, Bass and Treble turn into a SERAPH -LIKE form. But not like Lumine or Copy X. Something different.

Mega Man and Proto Man would be playable characters, and yes, this will be the opportunity to fight Bass (and Treble) as Proto Man, and no, Bass would not be playable in Mega Man 0.

So, does anyone here think a "Mega Man 0" game would be cool?

I dont get it.

If it's Megaman and co FOLLOWING Wil and co back in time to pre-Megaman time, then it isnt Mega man 0. Its just another time travel plot but with Wily trying to prevent Light from Making Megaman, and Megaman following him to stop it. It would also have to be a self contained adventure, as in, a gaiden what if, since that kind of thing could alter the future anyway. It could even prevent Wily from ever having tried taking over the world. Since P\past characters will have knowledge of future events. Like Light, and maybe even Past Protoman.

if he wants to prevent Megaman, he has to prevent Protoman, Since around that time, protoman was working for him out of gratitude for Saving his life, but might not take too kindly to Wily attacking Light, and could even turn on him. In fact, protoman turns on him anyway, so he would have to prevent him too, because without Mega Man, Protoman could have taken the super fighting robot spot. But preventing Protoman, would prevent him from ever learning about how Light's robot's work, and would prevent Mega Man 1 from ever happening, which would prevent the Mega Man 2 robots from existing. And it all snowballs from there. In fact, preventing Protoman prevents ANY Androids of their kind from existing.

And depending on how time flow works, it could erase the future Wily and his robots from existence, since well, since sentient androids were never created, Wily might never have gotten so fed up with Light, (due to Light not having created the breakthrough in robotics that was Protoman, )and never tried taking over the world at all.

Also, preventing Protoman and Mega Man would pevent him from ever having conceptualized Zero, the project who he plans to some day finish and use to defeat Mega Man and Bass.

I would play the shit of a Mega Man generations.

Unfortunately, due to the differences between Sonic and Mega Man, (Sonic its all one character across time, Mega Man its multiple across literal generations and is of a more hard edged style as of the X series) It probably wouldnt work as well

Like that one episode of the Ruby Spears Cartoon, where Vile and Spark Mandrill as well as X. Classic has gone into and from the 'future' for plots, so having 'X' plot go back could be interesting...

that is exactly where i got the idea from.i wasnt born back then so i didnt see the cartoon but i was watching youtube videos and saw "megaman meets X"

the reason i dont really like this idea is because the story line was already been used and the name has to

Well, Rock isn't new to things coming from the future, he even faced off against a clone of his that erased 'that' particular future. If they did it just right, and allowed X to inspire Light for the design (well, further than Duo did anyway). It could be a worth while gaiden.

If X was the cause which inspired Dr. Light to make X, what do you think is X's true origin then? There would be no origin but a stable time loop.

From another viewpoint, X would be his own grandfather.

Another thing to add to that idea is having capsules. For better help, maybe someone from the future sent enhancements through the past.

And maybe some puzzles can be added. Similar to The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Mega Man needs to travel through several time portals because of different gaps in his path. The places he transports to are replicas of the ones in his current time. For example, Wave Man's stage is a replica of Toxic Seahorse's. Of course, Mega Man wouldn't stay in the future, but traveling back and forth would be interesting. And the reason why there would be several time portals is because more people keep sending things to the past for various reasons.

Aside from the whole point to have used the word 'Gaiden', it wouldn't cause a paradox. Especially if said 'gaiden' is after MM10 (when we know Light was conceiving X already), then all X's inclusion would do is show Light what X would become and plan for armor upgrades or even the 'Armor' system. If not some form of tweaking or fine tuning.

thats a good idea.like how air mans stage can be replica of storm eagle or hawk or whatever the bird robot master from x1 was called
