Well yea, they at least need to launch the Wii U first, but when they do I heard there's gonna be a 3DS version too (YAY!). I was thinking about it because Samus' moves for shooting and charging are already good, so it wouldn't be too hard to develop a Megaman character that way

Anyway... I dunno. My brother and I talked about it years ago, that we were happy about the idea that "Megaman is Capcom! Not Nintendo." Somehow, establishing that break from the SNES realm of characters, with Capcom surfacing itself on the PS1 and all the other leading game consoles of the time, felt like a good idea to us. Keep in mind, this was WAY before Capcom's current FU's and lowblows to us. My bro & I had this conversation in and around 07 or 08, when Megaman 9 recently came out and the idea of an X9 seemed like a great possibility.
Anyway, more on topic... Seeing X in Smash Bros. Brawl would've been fun and cool and all, but the game sets itself for a completely different type of fighting. It would probably work considering these are all famous platform game characters, but again, with the fact that Megaman was already in Marvel vs. Capcom, it seemed like a no brainer to me. At least at the time...
...if that makes any sense...

Yea, someone made X into a character with a virus- check this out!
out lol
@ Arpia, I know what you mean. Smash Bros has more "iconic" characters, like Mario and Sonic, so Capcom's icon, Megaman, should be in it! That'd be nice to see Samus vs Megaman XD

To be honest, from day one when the first Super Smash Bros. came out for the N64, I actually believed that X should be part of the Smash Bros. series game. If Sonic and Solid Snake got away with this in Brawl, then X would be THE perfect addition to the game. I believe Samus and X would make a good tag team. Link and X aren't a bad team either!
These are the moves that X would have if X were in a Smash Bros. installment:
Nintendo Gamecube Controller:
- B = "X Buster" (Hold down for charge) (The first grade charge is a two hit combo. The third grade shot is a seven hit combo. The Max Armor upgrade shot is a cross over shot. X fires two X busters, with first one being the exact same as the the regular one. If the second one connect with the first, it create a larger X buster that fans outwards.)
- Smash B = "Metal Anchor" [from X6] (chargeable with Max Armor only!) Works exactly as it did in X6. If X charged it, six metallic Storm Eagle clones will materialize above X and fall at a 45 angle.
- Up B = "Rising Fire" [from X4] (chargeable with Max Armor only!) The charged version is the 3rd jump. Works exactly the same as the one from X4. The charged version will have X fly upwards really high (One foot higher than Mario's Super Jump Punch).
- Down B = "Max Armor Part Equip " [from X3] X's red crystal on his head flashes brightly for a second, revealing the location of his Max Armor Part. Their are four parts that will appear randomly on the battle field. The opponent can use them as throwing weapons. When X equips his parts he will get new abilities: Leg Part: Double Air Dashing and dashing upwards. Arm Part: Special B moves can be charged and some A moves may be modified. Helmet: Recovers X's points if he is stationary. Armor: X can use a new final smash (if their is one) and X's knock back will be decreased.
- A = X will punch the opponent. If the player presses A consecutively X will perform a flurry of punches.
- Forward A = X will do a double roundhouse kick, with both of his legs moving slightly forward.
- Smash A = X will perform Soul Body [from X4]. X punches forward hard while the soul body lunges towards the opponent. Worth 2 hits if the opponent is close enough. The soul body stops at about two feet ahead of X. If regular X charges this it will simply be faster. If X charges the attack with the Max Armor, three soul bodies will spawn consecutively.
- Crouching A = X performs a low sweep kick.
- Smash Down A = X performs the "Triad Thunder" [from X3]. Self explanatory. If the charged variation is used, X will create two sparks on the floor the travels quickly in front and behind him.
- Up Smash A = X performs "Shining Ray" [from X8] with his arm cannon. Hurt adjacent opponents and sends them flying upwards. The Max Armor Charged version is basically larger fire works.
- Air A = X performs a typical jump kick. X's leg sticks upwards.
- Forward Air A = X uses "Ray Claw" [from Xtreme 2]. The opponent suffers huge knock back.
- Down Air A = X performs a downward kick similar to Fox's and Mario's. The opponent is knocked upward but is still combo friendly and good for set-up.
- Back Air A = X uses "Spike Ball" [from X5]. Also combo friendly.
- Running A = X uses "Storm Tornado" [from X1] It is nowhere near as over powered as it was in the first X game. It will normally be worth three hits and is used as an projectile.
- Throw = X uses the Strike Chain [X2] to grab opponents. Forward throw will have X shoulder check the opponent. Down throw will have X use Frost Tower [X4] which freezes the opponent. Up throw is Volt Tornado [X7] worth five hits and sends the opponent flying upwards. Back throw will have X do a Aikido style smash on the opponent behind him and then kick the opponent away.
Taunt 1 - X will charge himself as if he were do his tele-port animation from X4, X5, and X6 when he appear. He says "You wanted a fight, right?"
Taunt 2 - X puts his hands on his hips similar to his X4 stage select routine. He will shrug with hands outwards and say "Huh"
Taunt 3 - X points at the opponent, looks at them as if they were stupid and say "Can you get serious now...?"

Google "Super Smash Bros. 4 title"
Anyway, I don't think X should be in the new SSB... I prefer Classic Mega Man to be in it. Why? Because look at him. He will look great teaming up with Mario. But if X is going to be in it, I guess he'll team up with Samus. And if Zero Suit Samus Appears, pit her against Zero(from the Zero series.)

Whoa, you thought this out! NOW I WANT HIM IN THE GAME EVEN MORE NOW :| Yea though, I didn't understand why he didn't make it into Brawl though. When I looked into it, I found out that Nintendo didn't even ask Capcom or something along those lines.
@starforcenetwork It's most likely a codename. I presume they'll reveal it's real name sometime halfway in development. I guess that'd be neat if Classic Megaman was in, but
1.) Classic Megaman got in 2 MVC games
2.) X would be a neater addition, because he was excluded already from MVC3
3.) Samus vs X!

Someone already did that. Know Super Smash Flash 2? He's already in there.
Bad Box Art Mega Man is confirmed in SFxT in the PSVita.
