[From Hunter IT Bay]
Another light flashed onto the pad and materialized into the visage of Zero. He stepped forward, closer to Signas, and looked around. The room was well equipped, and there were already some 'Roids here to help out Axl and R. The amount of Aquilo members waiting for them already might prove a shock to X when he arrived, given his state of mind.

A beam of light illuminates from a far off IT pad as X's silhouette slowly emerges. While he feels he was better off waiting for the rest of the Hunters to show up, there was enough of a gap between those that have already left and those who are just catching up to avoid any contamination and responsibilities for whoever accidentally bumps into him.
He starts to examine the area around him, more interested in seeing who was going to help him to their version of the Infirmary than wanting to get to know the base better.

Axl grunted before nodding and walked over to the corner of the room, examining his exposed structure. His helmet stayed attached, although broken itself. His body was entirely exposed, showing his more advanced structure in comparison to some others as a New Gen Prototype. This also meant he was more unique and interesting to look at. Yet, his body showed no signs of being host to the Ordarium...
Shortly after, Chiba teleported in from [IT Bay] and proceeded to shakily step out of the pad and looked around. He easily dwarfed the others in the room and felt nervous, smiling and waving to some of the others present in the pad, with his more exposed arm. In the process, he wound up flexing his arm to show off, ripping his white body suit, exposing his synthetic muscles and the more skin-coloured tone. R looked over at Chiba and thought, He looks TOO damn happy, before biting his lip.
Layer entered from the [IT Bay], and immediately found herself looking at some of the Aquilo Project members, mostly at how orderly they are. She then looked around, spotting Axl in the corner undergoing a checkup from a Medical Drone. X had just entered.
Kazuo was constantly poking his hair, trying to remain collected after his resolution in the IT Bay.
"X wanted to come last due to several damages, but he is not the last. One of our Navigator's will be coming last as the few others are still at the Base, taking care of some things. In the meantime, we need to be settled in as quickly as possible. While the others are being shown to their quarters for the mission, the Navigator's and I need to be shown the Command Centre. We cannot waste any time with icebreakers between the two factions," Signas replied, looking down towards the door.

Juno listened carefully, noting she was still unarmed but no one appeared to take notice at Hunter Base. She hoped the Dr. S that her friends were talking about would be able to help her create new weapons.

Omicron looked around the room more. His eyes turned to Kazuo briefly. Kazuo... Omicron planned to start his investigation immediately after the next briefing. He would have started immediately, but he wanted to make sure he was aware of his allies' next moves before heading off on his own.

==========================================
When X and Zero emerged on the teleporter pad, the room threatened to erupt in chatter again. More then a few Avian units had sparkle to their eyes and mouthed the words 'oooooh' and 'aaahhhh' at the sheer legend of these famous two, needless to say that they were interested in them for other reasons. Chiba did made a good first impression as well, with his impressive stature and his toned physique. Smiling widely, BluntCut could envision he things she'd like to do with this charming individual.
Another medical droid, in a self-contained bio-hazard suit made of rubbers and sanitized materials cautiously approached X with it's own medical instruments whirring and beeping. This one was trying to signal X to step away from the others and towards a personnel carrier, a kind of enclosed transport capsule used to carry the critically sick or wounded.
Mikado and Darkrider may not have been impressed, but their appearance garnered many a smile from the varied Avians. These two new arrivals were further proof that the Hunter's forces were saturated with variety.
Commander Guy looked up to the taller Hunter Commander Signas without much concern for what's happening behind him. He agreed with the Reploid's sentiment.
"Very well. I will then hand you off to Major Gold here; he will show you and your navigators to the fortified Command Center, located elsewhere on this level. I will stay behind and be sure your men are established to their quarters. After that, I will have to retire for the evening, as I'm afraid as a flesh and blood creature I do not have the stamina you Reploids enjoy." He offered a weak smile as he turned to his Major. "Major, if you will."
The taller officer, dressed in metallic garb and unmistakably a Reploid, stepped up to address Signas with a formal salute to introduce himself . "Greetings, Signas," he started in a flat tone. " I will be the officer in charge of the Aquilo Project while Commander Guy is resting. Please follow me to the Command Center."
Normally, there would be a brief verbal exchange dictating the change of command, but given the circumstances, that was excused to hurry things along. Gold didn't waste much time with pleasantries; he just turned about face on his heel and started walking towards the exit of the IT Bay in a gallant pace, almost like a march. Guy stepped well back to make way for Signas and his navigators to follow.
Now that was taken care of, Guy focused on R and his needs, as he make clear his desires. " These medical droids have the programming equivalent of the top known Reploid researchers and medical practitioners the country has to offer. Each of them are experts in the field of Reploid medicines and maintenance. I doubt you'll find a more qualified -"
"I'll help you, young man."
All Aquilo Project eyes turned to the new voice disturbing the order of the room. Standing alone in the doorway was what initially appeared to be a old man, aged somewhere in his late 60's at the very least. What's left of his hair was arranged neatly in swept back waves of gray and silver. His face looked tired, and was scarred badly on the left side by terrible burns. The left eye was a mechanical red lens camera-like device protruding from the eye socket and had connector wires that trailed back to join with a ear cap of the same make a Reploid would utilize. From that same ear cap, other wires and chords ran down the length of his neck to connect with more mechanical devices obstructed by his clothing. This man was wearing over his suit some kind of bio-hazard full body protection gear, made out of a range of plastics and other non-metallic materials. The only part of his body that wasn't obstructed by this gear was his head, which was protected by a glassy bubble, making the gear assemble look like a NASA space suit. Obviously, this guy came out of some seriously dangerous environment.
Despite his age, this man carried himself very well and stood tall. His bio-hazard gear clamored as he walked forward into into the room. As he walked past Major Gold who was heading his way anyway, he threw a sideways malicious grin at the Major. Gold retorted with a glare from his green visor, but kept walking with no further interaction. Just from observing this trade of gestures, one could tell the two didn't quite see eye to eye.
Guy was perplexed as to why Vince Castor was here. He was supposed to be in Sector D working with Disco on the Jettegra 07 schematic! He didn't try to cover his surprise. He spat a whisper to Vince as the older human strode by.
"Vince," He snapped. "What are you doing here?"
Vince didn't make any eye contact with Guy as he continued past him, to the group of Hunters on the IT platform. On his way past Signas, he did look up and offer a kind smile to the famous Commander. At this point, he responded to Guy's inquiry through the speaker on the glass helmet.
"Now now, Commander. We have favored guests! Surly I'd have to drop by and interject on such a historical occasion. You will introduce me, won't you?"
Guy rolled his eyes and exhaled noisily. He swung out an arm to bring focus on the newcomer. "Maverick Hunters, this is Vincent Castor, the Aquilo Project Director. He dictates many of the influential technological and strategic decisions made here, and is a senior member of our staff. Please regard him as a VIP and treat him with respect." The words came out loud enough for the room to hear, but bitter. Guy himself had trouble respecting this man.
Vincent thought that did well enough for an introduction, regardless of the sour note. He turned around just long enough to sneer at Guy before he turning back to face the Hunters again. "Thank you, Sabbath."
Behind the Aquilo Project top brass were the Avian units, themselves a little surprised that Vince dropped by. Although he was a common sight around the airbase, he was reluctant to meet new arrivals in person unless they were of scientific importance. It was a big deal to have him here now, and his presence was unnerving.
Vincent paced towards R, but stopped before X and Zero as he made his way. He stared up at the champions on the IT pad, completely intrigued. The mysteries surrounding them, and Axl, were a thing of fascination to him, and have been a major influence into his study of science. How he wished he could lay them down on an operating table and cut them open to see how they work!... Of course, he knew he had other priorities and could never get the authorization to do something like that. He would have to settle for verbal interaction... For now.
"Exquisite..." Was all the old timer said to them. He moved on, stopping in front of R now. He motioned for the medical droid to back off, and it did so.
"If these droids don't strike your fancy, may I offer to assist you? I have knowledge and understanding surpassing that of these meager tools. Perhaps we can find a way together to mend your injuries, hmmm?"
A slow swivel turned him towards the famous trio of S-Ranks again. "As for X and Axl, I can guide you to your isolation chambers. They aren't too far from the Medical Bay."
Guy had to stop him there. He walked over and addressed him in a huff. "Vince, if you want to help the Hunters that's all fine and good, but while you're doing that, who's tending to our other priority?"
"Psssshhh, no worries. I gave Disco a few design work around theorems to outline and develop. He's doing a fine job keeping Project 7 in the blue line, even without my oversee. Now, I think you have to get these fine young men and women to their quarters, do you not?"
A furrowed nod was his reply. Guy stepped back into the center of the room again, and rose his voice to get the Hunter's attention. "Maverick Hunters, If I may have your attention please. Before I have you all sent to your dorms, I would like to bring your focus to the capsule racks behind me."
Here, a maintenance droid moved from it's stand by position to pluck a capsule from the racks and handed it to Guy, who then carefully seized it by the sides, being sure not to accidentally poke one of the delicate interface nodes with his gloved fingers. He then held the familiar revitalizing device in front of him.
"These capsules are not only for topping up energy reserves, but they also hold codes for vital data, relevant to this faction. Once you interface with it, you will be supplied with maps, communications frequencies, and information regarding the who's who of our staff and the workings of our airbase, outlining the locations, dangers, and the advantages of our facilities. On your way out to your dorm rooms, I'd advise each of you to take one and make good use of it at your convenience."
The droid came back and took the capsule from him, then placed it back on the rack with the other baubles. Guy then continued. "Upon entering your dorm rooms, you will find that there will be a key card sitting on a desk to the left of the entry doorway. That key card is your pass to the base, so don't loose it. It will open any door hinged with up to a Level 4 Security lock. If you come across a door you can't pass, it means you shouldn't pass it. We are a military instillation, and we have our secrets we need to keep for the interest of national security. Please keep that in mind."
"One last note of consideration." Guy produced a small hand held holo-emiter from a pocket and activated it in front of him. The emitter blipped to life a large glowing display showing a squadron badge insignia. "If you happen to come across this insignia in your travels, beware. This icon is the mark of the Ala Scura squadron, the best of the best of our aces. But while they have been ordered to co-operate with us in this alliance, they do have a, ehm, little problem with outsiders. They are world champions at what they do, and are expected to be treated with the respect that comes with their status, so they do tend to come off as bossy or dismissive. You are not likely to come across these individuals, but if you do, for the love of Light, try not to rile them. If they approach you, please try to treat them as you would the S-Ranks of your own faction. They are important to the functions of this this base, and are very dangerous men."
The emitter was deactivated and put away. Guy cleared his throat before continuing. "I will now have one of our Avian units guide you to your dorms. AU-GS-65, come forward!"
The sea of silver parted ways and BluntCut emerged, striding up to Guy's side. Guy began with his last piece for the day. "Hunters, after obtaining your data capsule, please follow this Reploid to your dorms. I understand she's one some of your worked with recently at the Confederation Bridge incident. As for myself, I will be retiring to my own quarters for the rest of the evening. The officer in command of this airbase as of now is Major Gold, the formal-looking Reploid in uniform you see by the doorway. If anything comes up while I am at rest, bring it to his attention. He will be at the Command Center. That is all for now. All APB staff, dismissed!"
That was the final word. All at once, the Avian units, the mechaniloids, and Guy made way for the big double doors in lines of four. Vincent was still standing beside R and the medical droid waiting for everyone else to disperse and be out of the room before he escorted R, Axl, and X to where they needed to be. That would only take a few minutes. Everyone was disgorging out of the room in an orderly fashion.
BluntClut swung her hands playfully and licked her lips. It should be fun having a bunch of hot guys following her tail.
"Alright, all ye yankees," she addressed the Hunters. "Fall in when yer' good and ready and follow me. This ship's settin' sail. You got any questions as we're stridin' along, fire away. I don't bite. Hard. Most of the time. Unless you want me to."
"BluntCut!" Came Gold's voice, sharp like a razor.
"Ooop!" The female flyer laughed, only halfway disciplined.

Unfortunately, there was very little choice in who he has to rely on to protect the rest of the base from the Limited cop out covering his body.
As he was preparing to accept the old cyborg's offer, the commander in charge of the base begins to address the Hunters on the conditions of having to bunk with unfamiliar comrades, including the faction bearing the symbol presented by the Commander. Trying to keep respect for such presumptuous stuck-ups was going to be a problem if X was ever forced to go on any walks if only to exercise his structure and keep his energy from having to be rerouted to more vital power sources.

Darkrider lifted an eyebrow at the thought of the Ala Scura. Well, if anything, we're better off keeping our distance from them. I rather not use up more energy than necessary. Other than that, it seemed things wouldn't be much different. Just more military like. He looks over to Mikado. Judging by her expression, it seemed to him she had similar thoughts...

Axl was much more defensive. "I don't need isolation, I just need a patch job. We're wasting time here! I mean, cueball could be running rampant right now for all we know!" Axl said with annoyance in his voice.
Signas' expression didn't change as Guy made his swift exit, and he was met with the other leader. "Make sure your drones isolate both X and Axl. Axl is too much of a risk without a proper scan. Make sure his armour is replaced within the next half an hour. Make sure X has a full body scan with every piece of technology you use for scanning machinery, and make sure that substance isn't in Axl before either of them leave isolation.
Chiba looked at the others and looked over at Vince. "Sorry, but in my case, I'm even worse than R here. My body is Japanese Model and this base doesn't have the proper technology for any medical assistance, unless the old man there has spontaneous Japanese Model Reploid skills as well as a synthetic tissue base of technology," Chiba said while following the others out of the room. "I still need to be checked up, so I have to request that Dr. Akira be transferred here."
Kazuo looked over at the other Aquilo members and shivered at the sight of a few of them. Inside him, the Ordarium was stirring up, desperate to escape and spread evolution, but was held back.
Layer, and Pallatte, both walked slightly faster to the front of the line in order to be sorted out into the Command Centre.
"Keep in mind, there is still more coming from the Hunter Base." Signas looked forward.

============================================
By the time the Hunters had their thoughts on the situation and said their piece, the droves of Avian models, mechaniloids, and Commander Guy had left the IT bay and continued on to wherever they were supposed to be. This left the various Hunters with the now active base commander (minus Signas) Major Gold, Stonehenge squadron Captain Bluntcut, a few IT technicians, the medical droids, and the creepy Project Director Vince. With the exit now free for the others to follow, they could move on.
[Commander Guy has left for his personal quarters]
Major Gold was the first to respond. He still stood by the doorway, making a final glance over the room to make sure everything was as it should be. Once that visual sweep was complete, he then focused on Signas. " So be it. Vincent and the medical droids will escort X and Axl to the Iso chambers where they will be scanned thoroughly, and the two who requested special treatment will be taken to a medical bay where they can wait to be examined by their requested specialists, if that suits them. We will be informed when more of your men get here, and they too will be escorted to their own quarters."
His head then swiveled to nod at Vince, who he knew overheard the conversation. Vincent had his back to the Major, but he knew the Reploid well enough to know that he knew he was being overheard. All Vincent needed to do was waive a gloved hand behind him to indicate that those assumptions were correct.
Gold was attentive to Signas again. "We will leave some of our IT technicians here to retrieve the others as they arrive. Now, let us be on our way to the Command Center. This way."
[Major Gold leaves for the Primary Command Center]
Bluntcut thought it was rather rude for Chiba and R to turn down Vincent's offer for help, but she didn't say anything knowing Vince would handle a rebuttal flung his way. It sounded like they had just reasons for concern anyhow. She didn't think anymore on it; it was time to get these guys on the move.
"Okay, time to get going!" She raised her voice so everyone in the room could hear. "We're going to take a direct route and not make any stops along the way. You all got your capsules? Then follow me! One, two, one, two". She began pacing out of the room in a dignified march, not really expecting the Hunters to match her specific marching gestures.
[Bluntcut leaves for refurbished Dorm Block H]
That left those not following Bluntcut with Vincent. The senior member was currently taking in the reaction X had to the medical droids, and frowned. With a flick of his wrist and a scorning look, the medical droid backed off away from the famous Hunter and put his tools away, tucked into a receptacle on it's belt. It then walked up beside Vincent and whispered some medical jargon the closest it could to his ear (That bubble helmet was obstructing). A weary sigh escaped the director. As he motioned for the droid to stand by, he had a concerned expression. The readings the droid got on his instruments were inconclusive and wild; a trademark of Odarium. Although, it could be noted that many of X's systems were hard to analyze anyhow, and that could be part of the difficulty. But Vince suspected that the precise readings that were relayed to him from the droid had much more to do with the status of X's condition then the actual structural make up of his being.
He stepped forward, but still gave X room. "I apologize if our droids upset you. All they were doing was trying to get a fix on your condition with their instruments, they were not going to touch you in any way physically. That capsule they were motioning you towards is nothing more then a transport device, to isolate you from everyone else on the way to the isolation chamber. But by all means, we won't try to force you into it if you feel uncomfortable and can walk under your own power."
Attention was then given to R. Vince spoke to him in a calm tone. " I suppose we can contact Dr. S if that would put you at ease. But, you would have to supply the contact information. We could go through the trouble of finding it ourselves, but if he's a famous Reploid designer he may make himself hard to find for his own security. If you had his locale, it would help us immensely..."
Chiba was given a nod here. "... As would you giving us the contact information for Dr. Akira. While I do have a strong understanding of 'synthetic tissue base of technology' as you so put it-" Vince points to himself at this "-I could stand to learn more of Japanese make Reploid models. And while I am confident I could find just a strong understanding of such with your own co-operation, I will concur to the reasoning that finding and transferring Dr. Akira here would save us on time. Now, all that said... Would the both of you be willing to sit in a medical bay while your waiting for your respective designers, or would you be more comfortable being shown to your quarters? If it's the latter, I suggest you go catch up with your Hunter brethren on their way out, and contact me with the communications code provided in those capsules once you're settled."
Now it was Axl's turn. "As for you..." Vince started aggressively, then cooled. "I do believe your commander ordered you to be scanned in an isolation chamber. We wouldn't want to defy orders, now would we? I can promise X and yourself that you will not be harmed by our methods or by our equipment, and that if you cooperate your scans will be done in well enough time for you to see the action you so apparently crave. Do remember young one, these procedures are here for very good reason: the welfare of the entire base. Rushing to accomplish anything will only result in sub-par performance or outright failure. Take it from an old man, we do want to do things right the first time."
The IT technicians were thrown a much less forgiving glance and a harsher attitude. "You there! Keep an ear and eye out for more incoming. We are still expecting more Hunters to arrive at any time."
The technicians shot back with a firm confirmation. "Yes sir!'
"Good." A return to softer expressions lent themselves to the remaining Hunters. "If you will please accompany me to your respective accommodations... Walk this way."
Vince began to shuffle his way towards the exit of the room, the big bio-hazard suit squeaking and fumbling his walk, making him proceed in a very penguin-like fashion. But still, despite his time on the planet and the weight of the gear on his shoulders, he still carried on with the strength of someone less then half his age. How old he really was could be up for debate.

Still there was very little he could do at the moment that won't make Axl's condition any worse than everyone else following standard Hunter procedures would tolerate. All he should be worrying about is himself and his own means of ridding the goop that was mutilating his physical structure.
Not wanting to insinuate to the creepy-looking droids that he was incapable of walking anywhere, he starts to make his way towards one of the two transportation capsules, situating himself in whatever position aligned with its internal structure. He then looks back towards Axl, hoping he doesn't cause too much of a ruckus that would force him to take drastic measures over mutual negotiations.

Zero was admittedly curious about what the detective meant by an "investigation". But it wasn't his concern at the moment. His comrades, on the other hand, were. He looked between X and Axl, concerned about how they were treating the situation. Axl didn't look like he was worrying one bit, but it was better safe than sorry. As for X, he turned to him and gave him a nod, as if to say, 'You'll be fine. Don't worry.' But as much as Zero wanted to make sure his friends weren't taken apart for no apparent reason, he didn't want to be left out of the loop in regards to any briefing. He stepped forward as well to accompany Signas. He wasn't exactly comfortable with the staff here, but it was better than trusting that enigma, Helios.

It has occurred to me that perhaps I haven't made it clear how I transit from one area to the next at this locale. All I do is put in brackets where a character goes to, like I would in any other location in the RP, but since this is one thread for everything here at the A.P.B., I just have the character appear where they need to be (again, coming in using brackets) in the next post.
For example, say I want to have a medical droid leave the IT Bay and go to a Medical Bay. I would say the following after writing that it leaves the area:
[Medical Droid exits the IT Bay for the Medical Bay A2 (example)]
And then in my next post I would write in first as it enters the new area:
[Medical Droid entering Medical Bay A2 from IT Bay]
Not sure if that's what the rest of you are going to do, or if you want to go about it in another way, but I find it's very practical to have everything in this thread and just announce where you're coming and going in brackets, just to be extra clear for everyone where you're going and when (and perhaps just as important, who, if you have multiple characters here like I do). If this isn't good to you guys, shoot me back a PM and let me know if you have a better system.

Chiba nodded at Vincent, and almost opened his Datalog until he remembered they were getting a private network... except his creator doesn't have one. He sighed... but Chiba maintained his rather optimistic attitude and proceeded in a march that tested the very limits of his Reploid feet; the light "chu" sounds coming from his feet were accommodated with almost stomps. [Chiba to Dorm Block H].
R shrugged. "If there comes a time when I can't contact Dr. S, the world will have five minutes left to life," he remaked while walking to [Dorm Block H], checking out the various things in the bay (OOC: Mind out of le gutter).
Signas nodded, along with Layer and Pallatte, and proceeded to [Primary Command Centre].
"Douglas will be here soon with the codes as well as the transmitter for the private network. I suggest keeping equipment used for contact, when the others request creator presence here, at the bare minimum of signal transmission. No video is absolutely recommended. The less being transmitted, the better." He took note of the state of the Command Centre and immediately began comparing it to the one at Hunter Base for familiarity.
OOC: Rule suggested: Since this is all one topic, can we make it so you don't have to wait for everybody in the topic to post if you're not in the same area? E.g. R in Medical Bay and Kazuo in Command Centre?

But really, other then for the reasons of neatness and the prospect that someone might think their turn was missed, I have no qualms with it. What do the rest of you think of Arby's idea?
=================================================
The medical droids let X take his time to get as comfortable as he could in the transport capsule, being sure to observe where he places his arms and legs. Once he was situated in the device, one of the droids came up to him while the other droid began to press some buttons on a side panel located on the capsule.
Droid one began to speak to X in calm, gentle demeanor. " Alright, X. What we're going to do is seal you in this capsule for the short duration of travel time to the medical bay. What's going to happen here, is that a translucent seal will slip out of the capsule seams here-," at this point the droid ran an index finger across the vertical length of the capsule, where there was a little gap in the construct for the seal to emerge from "-to lock you in and keep you snug and safe for transport. Your going to be able to see exactly where we're going, and if you need to say anything we'll be able to hear you. You're going to hear a hissing sound once the canopy is closed; that's just the seal becoming air tight, there's nothing else going on there. Please keep your arms and legs close to your body and try to relax. We'll be at the medical bay before you know it."
And then the droid stepped back while the other mechanical man finished his work on the side of the capsule. The device zipped it's glass-like lid over X and sealed him inside with a mechanical hiss, just like what was described. On the side panel, the display buttons turned green, indicated it's cargo was secure and ready for transport.
Now that X could be transported, the capsule was seized by handles on it's sides, one handle to each droid. The two of them began to wheel X in the capsule -with the device standing up and directed so X can see where they are headed- out of the IT bay and towards the corridors that would take them to the medical bay where X could be scanned for nasty contaminates.

[Vincent Arriving at Medical Bay A]
It wasn't a very long or eventful journey on the way to the principal medical bay. There were many plainly furnished winding hallways and lots of areas that looked exactly the same, but Vincent knew where he was going. Even in his confining bio-hazard suit, he led Axl there in short order.
Once entering the room proper, one can tell this was a major establishment just from the size and complexity of the area. This wasn't just one room; it was a huge structure divided up into special sections to accommodate specific situations. Everything was labelled with a numbered code, from the devices and machinery used for operations and scanning, to the divisions themselves. There was lots of mechanical devices covered with a protective plastic coating and big screens everywhere the eye wondered, making the room look just as much as a car manufacturing plant as a place for delicate medical procedures. Another thing to note was how bright, clean, and well lit the bay was. Everything shone with a remarkable white luminescence akin to a brand new hospital.
While it could have been a overwhelming sight for a newcomer to come in and see, it felt more like a secondary office to Vince. He spent a lot of time in this bay, when he wasn't working on more Project oriented work with other V.I.P.s.
The cybernetic senior shuffled his way into the main reception corridor, and signed himself in using a key card he plucked from a sleeve in the suit to swipe a wall mounted panel (this system was adopted to process the frequent incoming and outgoing of personnel in a much faster and efficient manner then a more traditional method of needing a secretary at a desk would). Once his data was registered, a buzzer sounded and the big 1-foot-thick metal security door stopping his progress slid up into the ceiling so he was granted access to the main room, where the divisions all met. He encouraged Axl, who followed him there, to make his way into the room as well, where he could see the place he would, if all went according to plan, spend the next while tucked away where he can be looked at in relative safety.
Vince turned to the youth and mustered a encouraging tone of voice, squawking from the speakers in his suit.
"This is the principal medical bay. As you can see, there are lots of important instrumentation in here, so do not go around touching anything that's not familiar to you. In order for us to get started, I'd like you to go into the iso cell labelled 'Iso 3' and have a sit on one of the chair supports you'll see in there. You may be happy to learn that we don't need you to lay on a table of any kind like you may need to at a more usual medical center; we can perform our scans from a more comfortable posture here. I don't need to go into the cell with you. Once you're ready for the scans to begin, you can talk to me using a small blue communications button on the farthest wall, right where the chair supports are. When you give me the OK, I will initiate the scans using the terminal out here."
A padded glove swayed out to his side to point at a complicated piece of technology with a stand and a lot of multicolored dials, switches, and displays on it. That was the terminal he was referring to.
Iso cell 3 was a room with a simple layout, compared to the rest of the area that was wall-to-wall machinery. It had a basic 8'x3' door with a simple button interface to open and close it. Once inside, the room was a white plain space with flat metal panel floors and walls. The farthest wall from the door was outfitted with what must be the chair supports; curious looking projections that came out by about 2 feet from the wall to bend toward the floor at a 45 degree angle. These chairs were positioned at about 2 and a half feet off the ground, but there was slits in the wall and floor depicting that the height and the depth of the 'chairs' could be adjusted. On the same wall at about five feet up from the floor was the blue communication button Vincent talked about.
While the walls and floor were plain and uninteresting, the ceiling had something out of the norm installed in it. From corner to corner, there were green, red, and purple lenses right in the ceiling fixture, made of some durable translucent material that's hard to discern with the naked eye. One could guess these are the devices that deluge the scan rays.

[Bluntcut appearing at Dorm Block H]
It didn't take long for the group tailing Bluntcut to make it to their destination either, but it may have felt that way. the journey took them through many bland hallways and intersected with many repetitive scenery. There were some instances where they would come across another Avian unit passing by, or a squadron of mean-looking Sky Drones, but they didn't interfere or otherwise hold up the party. They just looked at the assembled group and went on their merry way.
One thing that could be noted while traversing the base was that everything was big here. The hallways, most of the mechaniloids, the windows, the doorways, the rooms... All of it was as if it was made to accommodate giants. The only things that seemed small in comparison was the relatively short Avian units and the Sky Drones. But they were built small with a purpose.
Another thing that could be noted was the absence of human presence. Guy and Vincent were the only people that the group had met so far. Everything else has been an Avian unit or a kind of mechaniloid. Guy may have skimped on addressing this to avoid worry for the sake of the Hunter mission, but this was an association primarily run by flesh and blood people. The reasons for them not being there were obvious enough, but one may wonder as to why there would be two people at all in the whole APB...
Bluntcut got the group to where they needed to be and held up a hand to initiate a full stop to the herd. Once everyone was settled, she began to speak in her normal lively tone.
"Hold up troop, we're here." A lookout down both directions in the hall confirmed the location. "Welcome to your personal quarters for the time being. Beyond these rows of doors are your accommodations, fitted with.. well, honestly, I'm not sure exactly what. these were put up in a hurry so fast I didn't get a chance to see these for myself yet. I'll just take a peek to make sure things are fine and dandy. 'Scuse me a sec."
'Cut whipped out her own pass key card out of a compartment in her forearm and swiped the security lock panel beside the nearest door with it. There was a beep and the overhead light flashed green, accompanied by the swish of the opening steel door. Bluntcut leaned in the doorway to take a peek inside as she secured her pass card back in it's compartment.
"AAAAH! AAAAAH! EEEEEE! OMGit'sbeautifulthere'snotproblemreally."
She pulled her head out of the room with her expression playful, a big grin plastered on her face. "It's all good guys. Nice and neat, waiting for you. In fact, I think you guys got it better then our dear Commander himself. Certainly a lot better then us Avian units get, that's for sure...
The rooms were lined up in parallel rows down each side of the hallway. They were all symmetrical in design: each had clean navy blue walls, 4 3'x3' mufti-function touch screen displays built right into the farthest wall, two standard-sized recharge capsules (which each can fit someone up to 8 feet tall inside), a generously sized bookshelf with lots of shelves, a medium sized natural wooden desk with a big comfy chair like those you would see in a La-z-Boy gallery (perfect for lounging while watching the 'tube), a panel for communications just in case something went wrong with the personal communicators, a floor-to-ceiling closet beside the displays for general storage, the little platform that had the key card on it, a beige rug covering the entire floor, and.... A bathroom that the installers didn't have the time to uninstall. The rooms also had air vents in the ceiling corners. That gave away that these dorms were used to being occupied with human bodies.
Bluntcut continued. "You guys may be wondering why there are two recharge capsules in each of your rooms. What our gracious leader forgot to mention was that he was encouraged to have each of you pair up to share a room to save space, but frankly I think there's more then enough for the each of you, so you can work that out amongst yourselves."
"You can use the key cards to set a your own password into the door lock so no one barges in on you if you like. Now, I'll leave you all to get acquainted with your new pads. If you guys need anything, don't be shy to use the communicator panel to get someone up here to fetch you something. I wish I could tend you myself, I really, really do, but chances are I'll be slave-driven to work my tush off on some ridiculous mission, so you'll likely get a mechaniloid. Don't worry, they don't bite either."
Another about face swirled the red armored aviator around to turn her back on the Hunter party. "That will be all for now, gang. See you aroooOounnnd."
A skip in her step carried her down the long hallway out out of sight around a bend, leaving the Hunters to negotiate who gets what room.

[Major Gold entering the Primary Command Center]
Gold had his pass ready to welcome him into the Command Center. He entered, and held the big doors open to allow Signas, and those who followed him, in as well.
The Center was different now then it was when Guy had been occupying it during the fiasco with the Tsunami Hydra. It was a tight space then, with lots of command posts, holo-chart board stations, and individual relay platforms scattered in a configuration that made navigation maze-like. Not anymore. Everything was nice and open, with all the equipment streamlined in a nice circular pattern around the circumference of the room, with a big space in the middle where Signas can get a good look everything happening. There were huge displays like the ones at Hunter Base up on the walls, and the entire area was darkened as to save energy and improve the visibility of the panel lights.
The individual cells were still there, but the doorways to them were tucked away in the far corners of the room in the shadows. If these were asked about, Gold would explain.
Once the Major and Signas entered, everyone (worth noting they are all mechaniloids and special command Reploids now) stood at attention, just as they did for Guy before. Gold waived them all off, and they returned to their various duties.
Gold had monitored Layer and Pallete enter the space as well, and then conformed to address Signas. "Understood. I agree with your reasoning. We will use minimum frequency bandwidth only." He didn't have to point or nod to an officer to get a favorable response. One of them got busy right away configuring the base communications buffers to the desired setting.
