I mentioned earlier that my favorite song from the series is Boomer(ang) Kuwanger's theme, but a few other songs i like, in no particular order, are: Jet Stingray's, Gravity Beetle's, Final Weapon (Stage 2)'s, Izzy Glow (Glow Firefly)'s, X's Opening Stages' (X1, X2, and X4), the title theme of X1, the boss theme of X6, Infinity Mijinion's, Jakob Elevator's, Flame Mammoth's... and a bunch of others i probably forgot to mention. :]

I agree that the stage-select theme for X4 is extremely kickass. It ties with X1's as my favorite stage-select theme, with X2's not far behind. I also admit that Launch Octopus's and Sting Chameleon's themes are very awesome and catchy, as is most of the music in X1. X5's tunes are alright, but i generally prefer X4's music to X5's.

"Variable X" is also very underrated and a fave of mine, although i would rather it be used more consistently with X in general. I could definitely dig a remix that combined "Variable X," an extended version of the title theme of X1, and the theme of X1's opening stage. Hell, it'd be cool if someone combined all of X's themes from X1 to X5.

I liked the Escape Stage music in X7. It's catchy to me.

I also like X3's intro stage music on the SNES.

Lastly, like Zero's theme music in X1-4.

I can't help but love the X vs. Zero Fight music from X5, it gave me the chills when I first played that battle and it serves its purpose to make the fight epic damn right.

There's also Zero's Opening Stage theme from X5, Eurasia City, which I love so much. It was the first X5 song I heard besides the Intro song and I really am addicted to it. It's the reason I mostly choose Zero at the beginning of a new X5 run.

I agree with the lifebar charging it sounds way cooler. Tho I only like the first 3 secs of it. Then it's jus kinda meh.

Going to do it for every game, but I have an overall favorite as well. I'll try my best to pinpoint my favorites.

X1: Sigma stage 1 - My favorite overall, absolutely. Listen to the extended version all the time while I'm working on stuff. This song is nostalgia in notes to me and sums up the feel of X1 so well I can never replace it as my favorite lol Variable X is also amazing, my second favorite by only a little bit. The title really enhances the song in my opinion.
X2: Bubble Crab - Wow, just so chill yet driven. My favorite chilled out X tune.
X3: Zero's Theme - Couldn't be a more perfect piece for the first time you get to play as Zero in the X series. It fits him so well.
X4: Frost Walrus 1/2 - I like how the feeling of cold resonates from these songs, therefore complimenting the stage so well. Technically two songs but same stage so.. hehe lol
X4 Beta: Split Mushroom - The beta version in my opinion was the best next to Frost Walrus's stage. I like the retail also, but the stripped down version was better in my opinion.
X5: Intro video - Wow, I love this song so much. It's hard to say I enjoy it the most because X5 has so so many great songs, only X1 tops it.
X6: Crash Site opening - An epic yet sorrow-filled song, conveys a lot of emotion.
X6 Beta: Besides the beta version of the Crash Site, the beta for Rainy Turtloid's stage - Definitely reminds me of a rainy day so it fits the stage great, overall it's chilled out.
X7: Tornado Tonion - Once again, a driven yet chill track. I like X7's music pretty well overall, but this stands out most for me.
X8: Jakob Elevator - Definitely a song which pumps you up and has an epic feel to it. A close second is Sigma's Palace.
CM: Not played yet

Bonus:
X Corrupted: Zero's opening stage - Wow, Nitro does great stuff but this draws me in the most and is extraordinarily driving.
Also, as for music used in X games, I always loved The Answer by Showtaro Morikubo in X6.

If I had to choose ONE song, it would be the X-Hunter theme.

Of course the intro stage to X2 is pretty sick.

But choosing one favorite track from an entire Mega Man series is almost impossible for me, especially the X series.

For me it's a tie between Spark Mandrill's stage and Gravity Beetle's stage. There are some awesome remixes of both out there.
