My Question about the Busters...

Ever notice the busters our heroes have? I've been wondering.....which arm does the buster appear?
In the games we see our Mega Men firing the buster on the left arm and when he/she faces to the right, the buster is on their Right arm!( that's because due to sprite flipping)
This does NOT include 3D-styled games, since the buster positions are fixed to the left arms, no matter which way they're facing.
Although, in official artworks and cut scenes, they're fixed to the right arm.
The same goes for Saber Positions.
This is my weird guess:
They have 2 busters installed on both of their arms, but they are only limited to use one arm.
Oh yeah, and please don't say things like "You're so stupid" or "It's common sense".
I'm just a guy who's confused.
Thanks.

X and Zero have a bit more protection in the fact that they have a safeguard program in that they can't summon another buster on their other arm if one is already out, however, this may be one of the things that were retconned by Day of Sigma when X loses his buster by detaching it without being able to summon another one on his other hand.
however, it is generally accepted that Buster Cannons are programmed to appear on whichever arm the users so chooses.

They have it on both arms but in the case of X and Zero, (X anyway) only one can be used at a time. The other is locked out when one is active. This is why the X2 and 3 armors give you that double buster attack in succession. because X ant just attack with both at the same time.

Not to mention they're Reploids. They aren't humans who are forced to be left or right handed. They're basically ambidextrous because... Well, why keep two Reploids who's destinies are to fight restricted to one hand? Why not make it so they can fight if they lose their fingers or entire arm?

No, Not ALL reploids. only if they are built with one as a weapon do they have one. I wouldnt know about having dual ones though. having one on each hand was a way to explain the fact that the sprites get flipped and Megaman uses a buster on both hands. SAR introduced the idea of using both at once, and showed that it is dangerous to do so. X was thus made with a security system that does not allow him to equip both at once.
