I'm still working on getting a different scenario in X5. I think ranking has a lot to do with it. In my last run, X was SA rank and Zero was GA rank. I only used one continue and went straight for bosses instead of getting upgrades first. The result was the Engima mission failing and the Shuttle mission succeeding. I suppose it's random but like OmegaMan said, there's a lot of factors that change the outcome.
One more thing: in X6, how do I get the foot parts for the Shadow Armor? I know I have to go through these compressor things but I never make it through, even with Speeder equipped.

I wanted something different cuz before no matter what I did, Zero always went Maverick and I got sick of it.

try to get all items for the enigma and shuttle....
most of the time usually zero stays alive......

I always got all the parts for both the shuttle and enigma, I just used to die so much and get sucky rankings cuz I took too much damage that I decided to focus on getting through a stage without getting hit as much so my ranking goes up. Like I said I think ranking has a big part in determining the outcome.

possibly or the game hates zero so much that every outcome comes out to zero going maverick so you can kill him.... :lol:

The fact that there are so many factors makes it seem random. Just try your best not to die too much. Or, like Zechs and the others say, fire the Enigma and/or Shuttle as soon as you can and repeat until you get the desired outcome.

For the foot parts, you have to go through the compressor at the end of the first part of Metal Shark Player's stage. It takes some practice, but jump into the machine as soon as it raises enough for you to squeeze through. Dash like crazy, and try not to be hit by the Nightmares, etc. Finally, after you make it through that, you'll drop down to a floor with a HUGE freaking pit to the right. At the other end of it is the armor capsule and the portal to the Nightmare stage. There are several ways to get it.

The EASIEST way to get it is to have a combination of the Jumper, Speedster, and/or Hyper Dash chips and simply dash-jumping over to it. This way, you can even get the part as Zero.

Alternatively, you can use the Ultimate Armor's Nova Strike after jumping, provided you put in the button code for it.

The other, more complicated way is to have the weird blocks that yousee after Ground Scaravich's stage is cleared appear and knock one forward, surf it, and then dash jump over to the ledge before it falls. But don't waste your time with this. Get the other chips first, if possible.

So...what are the requirements for the next ranking on X5? The highest I ever got was PA for X and GA for Zero....

You have to beat X1-3 and you'll unlock the game but make sure when you been them you have to save the cleared game data. :zeropeace:

You guys remember the thread I made Hard Challenge? Well...I'm stuck on X6. I am at Sigma's final form and I'm doing X no armor, life-ups, and sub tanks. How in the heck am I suppose to beat him without dying in my 3 or 4 hits....?

Use every energy attack and see what does the most damage. Have you tried using the Z-Saber though for X?

Well I forgot to say that I can't use Special Weapons. But everytime I try to slash him, one of the moving spike heads push me into his mouth and I take massive damage...
