Tsunami Hydra came in from the [Titan II]'s wreckage after destroying the ocean liner. He swam freely, fighting his Maverick state.

"I... FREE... DESTROY... HELP..." Tsunami Hydra said as he felt an invisible force tugging at him.

This force was similar to a teleporter establishing a link with him. He was unable to teleport and needed a verification code. The teleporter was, from a remote location, set for the Confederation Bridge across Canada...

"... NO... MY... BRIDGE... I SHALL ANNIHILATE..."

(Shakahn'ti is currently flying over this same spot, coming from [CELL #SWD001]- what a coincidence...)

The waters have been calm so far, nothing coming up out of the blue to stop Shakahn'ti on his mission of destruction. Nothing, that is, until now.

He notices a humongous shadow moving just beneath the waves.

"ANOMALY... MUST. EXAMINE." He says to no-one in particular, since his only current comm. link is long dead (he doesn't know this however.)

As he drops down for a closer look, the shadow suddenly vanishes. This is odd only because of the size of whatever was making it. It had to be at least 100 feet long, and who knows how much more massive than Shakahn'ti.

Bewildered, all thoughts of attacking Abel City are drove from the brute's mind. He flies ahead aimlessly for a few minutes, before dropping all the way to sea level and heading towards land to stop and think.

The Hydra swam towards the surface at a fast rate. It exited the water doing a leap through the air. It created a small whirlpool as it exited. All three heads roared out loud making a loud noise. There was no land in sight which was what the Hydra was looking for. The Hydra's body landed in the water, living up to it's name creating a large tsunami-like wave as if to scare off the flying person.

Shakahn'ti notices something behind him, and although fear isn't a programmed reaction in the war machine's setup, surprise is, and he is appropriately so. The sound of something so huge would surprise most anything. Shakahn'ti cruises to a stop and spins around in midair (just high enough to be above the wave) to face this new threat, and is shocked at the size of it.

"STATE. YOUR. NAME... OR. FACE. MY. WRATH!" he bellows above the sound of the crashing waves.

(OOC: Shakahn'ti has no way of knowing exactly how powerful Tsunami Hydra is, and as such may be a fool for uttering this challenge.)

The Hydra roared and began to swim through the water extremely fast towards his enemy. It spat out several Ice Shards making an air field filled with ice spikes covering a wide area and dove as soon as it shot the ice spikes.

Shakahn'ti got caught up in the ice blast and took a few hits. By the time he recovered speed, his target had vanished underwater. Shakahn'ti hovered for a while without otherwise moving to recharge. If that beast were to surface again, he would try to head to land and fight on his terms.

The Hydra came to the top of the water and swung it's three heads. One shot out a fast, hi pressure stream of water at the enemy. This stream could punch a hole through normal Reploids, what about one like this...

The other smaller head shot large chunks of ice carrying explosives through the air. Touching them would cause large explosions. And the main head...

The main head spat out flying enemies to cause even further of a distraction.

Shakahn'ti noticed the attack just in time. He charged his blades and crossed them in front of him as if to form a shield. The water jet hit the blades directly at the spot where they met.

"GAH!" he said as he was pushed upward about forty feet. "YOU. ARE. POWERFUL... BUT. I. WILL. PREVAIL!" he shouts at the Hydra. Just as he finishes his sentence, however, the ice chunks arrive, and he dodges all but one. The resulting blast pushes him even further away from the Hydra. Then he notices the small mechaniloids flying toward him... still reeling from the blast, he slashes wildly at the enemies, disabling a few of them with lucky hits. "THIS. IS. GETTING. ANNOYING...." Shakahn'ti says as he both dives and boosts toward the nearest land (which is still miles away apparently) with the intent of regaining full speed flight. Hopefully with this added speed, he could outrun the aquatic Reploid and be able to challenge it again on solid ground.

Thy Hydra stopped following it's enemy. It wasn't to get too close to land. The closest land was New Hera and if the enemy went there, the military would attack him resulting in total annihilation. The Hydra counted on that or counted on the enemy disappearing.

Shakahn'ti kept flying toward land. A drawn out fight in the enemy's element would cost too much energy... and he had other, more pressing matters. Firing his main jets, he blasted into full flight, and began heading towards Canada. He knew that the beast wouldn't follow him, since it seemed to want to stay in the water.

The sea here is many miles off-shore of New Hera. Its vastly uncharted spare for the fishing industry.

The large Federation battleship imposed against the horizon. On the runway, only a group of men of about 10 seemed to patrol. On the command tower, there were two snipers and a SADAR unit keeping watch.

Inside and behind the glass, the decorated General Rykov followed by Colonel Reno, and a few more members of his inner circle all monitored the interface. Rykov was pacing, with his hands behind his back and cupped. He had a lot at stake here, not only his reputation but the entire fate of the Federation army. If Liaf was successful, the Federation could succumb to corruption and even mis-communicated efforts and become yet another target of the Maverick Hunters. This was his last resort. If the Detectives and Chance failed, he would have to destroy the former Federation Headquarters.

"Any reports on the propaganda in the city?" He asked.

"Well, we're getting a feed from Sergeant Top," The Colonel responded and put it through. The two mavericks talking at the base were clearly heard. Rykov knew one was Elzareth - SYN-Revenge. The second one was unknown. The scream that shattered his audio receptors was Liaf's.

"KEEP IT HERE!" He commanded. The Colonel nodded and adjusted the frequency.

OOC: Merged Coast of New Hera with Coast off of British Colombia since they are the exact same (New Hera is located in British Colombia and New Hera was also visible by the characters in this thread.).

The Hydra slowed down now after all the excitement of fighting the enemy and observed the area. It moved closer to New Hera, not caring if it was seen or not. When it got close enough to confirm, it rose it's head into the air, opened it's mouth... But no sound came out. It was using Ordarium to communicate taking use of it's true capabilities. One which nobody knew. This signal also couldn't be traced making it ideal for the Maverick's to use. It was also exclusive to the Mavericks... The Hydra closed it's mouth and waited a few seconds before nodding it's head and diving down under the water. It swam underwater at an extremely fast pace towards the Battleship and prepared to attack.

Shakahn'ti noticed a large city in the distance, and determined that it would be seriously risky to fly over it (since it didn't really exist on his flight plan.)

Instead, he made a slight turn and flew further South of the city, avoiding it entirely.

OOC: Abel City is in the US. New Hera is in Canada. New Hera's in British Colombia. Abel City in the Washington area. So... Wrong direction.

"General, picking up something approaching readily on the radar!" Colonel Reno said looking over the sonar systems. The panic rose faster than the Exodus incident. "I can't believe Liaf's corrupted our navy too!"

"That's not a submarine.." Rykov murmured. "Get ready to outrun it!"

The Hydra seemingly got faster and faster as it cut through the water with more ease as it got closer to shore. It rose to the surface sticking all three heads out now over three miles away. The main head bobbed back and forth faster and farther each time before it spat out multiple chunks of ice with each one holding three bombs while the ice head shot out shards at the command tower of the deck. The force it was shot out at ensured it would make it and the Hydra dived under water after it's ice shot.

The ship was unprepared for the ice bombs landing on deck. They hit many of the reploids on deck. There were three soldiers unaffected, and on command they all boarded the hover support gunships. Revving their engines up, the gunships came to life and began to spin around the ship and wait for the hydra to reveal its head and deliver a crippling ordnance.

"Operate those damn gunships, now!" Rykov ordered while seeing the shards whack the windows of the command center. The first batch only scraped the window, falling down to the deck while some penetrated the windows and were ensnared in the plexiglass. He sighed, knowing one nearly hit him in the eye.

"Prepare my androids, now. Get Chance on the line whenever you get the chance.." he mused.. Shaking his head, he turned once more, "Deliver the report, we've got the Hydra cornered for the hunters."

A signal from the base responded to the Hydra's cry before it attacked. A connection was established... It was teleportation. The Hydra could teleport to the location set when it wanted. The Hydra closed in and spat out ice mines underwater around the battleship which slowly rose upwards from the bottom. The field it created with mines left one area to go... Away from New Hera. The Hydra seemed to try and protect New Hera. It stayed underwater.

"Leeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeave..." was all it said. It repeated it over and over as it waited.

[Vérité]

"Doesn't look like we have much of a choice.." Reno saw the mines. Everywhere. The only apparent path for the ship was to steer towards the East. The hydra was going to keep them away!

"Direct the gunships in attack mode," Rykov said, teeth gritted.

"What!?" Reno turned to see check his Commander's sanity. "What the hell are you thinking, General!"

"Reporting to the Hunters will eliminate one of our options if we don't have a location of the hydra! Load a tracker on the barrage!"

Reno didn't care about the Hydra. "General, people's lives are at stake if we even get near that monster. If we go into attack, it may just retaliate!"

"If you're questioning my Authority, file a damn complaint." He pushed Reno down into the chair and took the stand. "If I die, the Federation will live on.

Fat chance, Reno knew Rykov was the only thing holding them together. Today they had witnessed civil unrest at its highest, with a return of Sigma and then Liaf's defection. Whether it was Sigma-related or not, this was too much for the General to admit. He wouldn't be able to hold together for long.

"Fire the tracking barrage!"

The gunships all fired small metallic tracking devices all around the water until they hit something. Those who didn't attach within 4 minutes would de-activate and explode.

The ship was already steering itself away from the Hydra and away from New Hera, with its final mission done.

The Hydra was engulfed in light the instant it saw the Battleship sailing away... But the tracking device still attached. Several Mines detonated, tarnishing the harbor's front docks. There was still some left though. The Hydra... Had teleported to another location.
