Central Tower 2.0: Deserted lower levels Or so thought to be deserted

The elevator opened up, revealing the perpetrator from before. Still, shrouded in the pitch black darkness of this place, she began to chuckle under her breath while stepping into the room. "There's no power down here, it appears. That's no fun." The room was still a circular place, but there seemed to be an opening into the larger complex. She moved carefully out into the room and kicked something.
"Ahh, here they are.. these are the Force Metal canisters," she felt along the ridges of the crates. She would hit big now.
"Nobody asked for thieves to be here!" An angry reploid from the darkness shouted at her. "This is MY smuggling ring, and you aren't apart of it."
"Now now, Gardonell. Perhaps you should judge who you're about to combat before challenging them," a more cunning speaker answered directly to this 'Gardonell' person.
"Cordell... why do I have a feeling I'm cornered?"
"Why don't you both come out to show yourself?" She asked arrogantly, feeling for her viny whip. She cracked the weapon against the nearby wall, to let them hear and wonder.
"Wait... oh no! I know who you are..."
"I've already got what I came for," the Cordell person laughed maniacally. "Obey, Gardonell! Enjoy your little cadre of bandits while they last!" As quick as that, she could witness an IT beam exit the place.
"It's just you and me, now Mr. Gardonell.." She laughed softly, moving farther into the big circular room. "Now you can't run away..."

"No... I'm nothing now! Please, leave me alone!"
"No.. you will give me the names of your allies when I'm through with you.." She turned a corner into a bigger room. "Or else I'll just pry it right out of your brain. Now have it easy, or hard.. Though I do prefer it hard and rough. Makes interrogations so much more appealing.."
"You're a sick and twisted reploid," was a response. A Laser smacked her chest out of the darkness. She grunted, but chuckled uncontrollably. She flicked her whip in the position and caught someone's leg. Aha..

A flash of light appeared outside the Main Elevator leading up to Air City. Helios appeared in the dark near the ceiling, miscalculating his warp point only slightly.
"Oh, blasted contr--- ack!" he yelped under his breath as he crashed to the floor face first! He pushed himself up and looked around in the dark. He waved his hand forward. A small orb of light appeared and hovered in front of him. Helios could see where he was a little more clearly. His visor only autotinted slightly, as the majority of the area was still dark. His eyes were somewhat visible underneath his visor. They moved from left to right as he observed his surroundings... Helios would have to wait for the others to arrive before proceeding. He wasn't planning on hindering the operation by acting too much on his own. No. That was something only...
Only he would do something like that, Helios thought. That fool... He shouldn't of had to die... Leaving an orphaned son behind...

Marino wanders the lower levels, looking around to see where she believes the smuggling operation to be.
"Let's see...if I were a smuggler fixing to ship Force Metal to another place, where would I store my finds...?" she mutters particularly to herself.
She then hears a scuffle going on deep within the area and places a finger on her chin in thought, "Hm.... If I were to guess, I'd say someone else has beaten us to the punch. Perhaps the guy that spoke to us earlier?"
She chuckles a bit before taking off into a sprint in the direction of the noise, leaving Massimo and the soldiers to watch her dust trail. Massimo finches a bit before taking up a sumo stance.
"C'mon! Let's follow her!" he said before activating his hover boots and skiing off after her.

The two federation soldiers took a foothold outside, in the darkness. It was still very dark, but the place was massive once they exited the tiny room. "I heard that there's yet another circular wall around the ones we just exited.. this place must be huge."
"...Hard to believe they scrapped this projected area.. Anyway, you two co-" he bumped into a figure he wasn't familiar with until he looked. "Oh, its you!" He sighed and lowered his weapon. "You nearly made me scrap myself."

Helios had ceased his energy channeling before the elevator door opened. It was only natural that he wasn't noticed completely in the dark environment. Before he could greet the arriving party, however, Marino began to move on her own, and one of the officers bumped into him.
"Sorry about that," Helios spoke. He waved his hand again, causing another orb of light to manifest in front of him. It was dimmer, but it gave Helios enough light to see. He guided it with his fingers. "I also heard some movement, but I didn't want to interfere until you all arrived just in case I messed up. A civilian Reploid letting smugglers get away... That would be very bad press, indeed..." Helios then looked in the direction that Massimo and Marino had disappeared in.
"We'd better hurry up or we'll be left behind!" he said before darting after the two heroes...!

Helios saw the thief stop up ahead. He slowed to a walk, then stopped, and looked into the chamber...
"What the hell...?" he asked. He concentrated, and increased the brightness of the ball of light so he could see clearer...

OOC: God fucking dammit. You ruined this for me too.

"We need the power restored down here!" the other said. "There has to be a power switch in this place."
Posted 14 May 2011 - 09:14 PM
"While we're waiting for the power to come back on, how about some of us with a nocturnal setting teach this vineyard a lesson in parental guidance?" she finishes by arching her arm across her shoulder and chucking the Fire Star towards the undescribed humanoid vines.

Helios shrugged and let the light source fizzle out. He concentrated... After a moment he opened his eyes. They glowed dimly behind his visor. He could perceive the auras of the individuals inside, giving him an advantage that almost worked like night vision. He couldn't make out objects in the dark, but he could definitely make out the Reploids.

As soon as the vines were sliced in two, it seemed to whip around like a snake and disintegrate. They were connected to nothing on the other side. However, the sudden burst of flame lit up the ceiling, showing that there were two breeds of mechaniloids currently nested there. The Batbones, which were small and nasty, and the Batfighters, with red eyes and even nastier. They could cause berserk status on reploids!
The fire startled them, enticing all of them to fall down into a flight and began to swarm the group. Some shot their sonic blasts while others tried to latch onto the group and bite them.
The first soldier fell on the ground when a batbone tackled him, trying to bite down on his arm.
The second soldier stuck his rifle into the mouth of one and blew it to kingdom come. Another, he aimed his buster and shot. It dodged his buster completely!

Marino had a much easier time, just taking her blades out and using her Hawkeye Sub Weapon to accurately slice away the airborne threats.

"Jeeze, how did they even get down here?" The second one had to ask.
"Ventilation, this place is still open in small spots- perfect for mechaniloids to get through." He stood up, brushing his rifle and buster off. "Let's just hope we find that signal. Hey, Steel Massimo," he addressed Massimo formally. "Did The Chief even tell you what we're looking for down here?"
"I just found it.." The other said, kicking a metallic box. He looked up, to realize it was larger than any in the group. "These must be what the smugglers are keeping their merchandise in."
Posted 15 May 2011 - 07:15 AM
"From what I've been told, there were unknown signals attempting to smuggle Force Metal somewhere," he said with a confused shrug, "The information given so far is just as hazy, but Nana speculates that one of them might be THE original Spider contributing some part to the operation."

He then turned to the container. He concentrated. Orbs of light began to coalesce around the large box, illuminating it for them to see more clearly...
[From Central Tower 2.0: Main Elevator & Operating Room]
The elevator doors whooshed open. It appeared that no one was inside. However, in reality, Shadeth stepped out of the elevator with his cloaking device activated. He looked around, trying to perceive any nearby auras, although still untrained in this ability. Nothing so far... He could see a bit of light emanating from somewhere around the corner, allowing him to see other obstacles a bit more.
Helios, he thought. He's here, alright...
Posted 17 May 2011 - 01:23 AM
The other was too busy trying to feel his way around the large metal container until he realized it was open. "Excuse me guys, this container is already opened up." He moved in and stepped on something. Kneeling down to feel, he realized it was an arm.. dismembered. He held in a slow gasp, waiting for someone to help discover what he found.
The swarm of batbones and batfights flew by Shadeth and nestled behind the elevator room. There seemed to be a lone met just watching him. It was almost creepy, its cute little eyes staring at him with a burning hate. What caused this thing to have such an angry demeanor? Had someone disturbed its home down here prior to the smuggling rink? Furthermore, are they trained or wild?
Posted 17 May 2011 - 01:42 AM
"What in the...?" he mutters in shock. He wonders if Nana was able to get a shot of that arm and identify what it is.
