The lack of female roles

There have been a few female bosses in the story. Most of them lack major importance. I would like to see a female to be the final boss of a game.
Would you like more important female roles?

Lumine says hi. Oh, wait...
Um...
Aha! MegaMan Juno (gender unspecified, but feminine enough I suppose) from MML1 and Sera from MML2 for final bosses. Tron Bonne for the resident female antagonist.
There was also Lady Vega in MMSF2 (not final boss, but still the big bad).

Allow me to correct your terminology. Robots don't have SEX because they lack sex-organs. However, they do have GENDER, because they are members of society and gender is a societal construct. Thus, Iris may not be female sexually, but she is of the female gender. In the same way, Zero is of the male gender because that is the role by which he is identified in society. Note that characters of the male gender such as Lumine can be unusually feminine, but this doesn't make them female, because society considers them masculine enough that they are identified as male. We still refer to Lumine as "he" and "him" rather than "she" or "her." And if it isn't obvious to others, Lumine thinks of himself as male (according to Capcom), which tips the scale.
Obviously, strong female characters are long overdue. The ZX series clearly has many important females, but the X series predominantly features them in supporting roles. (The Zero series is somewhere in the middle.) For example, when has there been a female regular Maverick in the X series? I can't name one outside of Ferham from Command Mission.

Plus, when looking at the label of man, it is unison: Human, Woman and simply put man.

True, ordinary robots can also be "its" since they may not be identified as masculine or feminine or capable of identifying themselves as such. Either way, Reploids are certainly identified one way or the other.
The topic of conversation is Reploids in the X series, rather than ordinary robots, no?
So what we are talking about is the lack of female Reploids as strong characters.

For the others, there is fair 'Female' placement. It isn't clashed with such, as the characters and fighting follows the more stereotypical 'Man fights, woman stays home' kind of thing. Yet there are plenty of exceptions. Those we see, and those in ZX series, whether 'More' is necessary, I don't really think so. And besides, the later X series has a stronger 'Female' approach, with those after being fair. No?
Not like we should see a racked character in every game, nor should it be trended to follow the current female 'standard' (thank you media and times).

Personally, i think that since the X series takes place in the far future, it ought to take the recent evolution of gender roles to its logical conclusion and show a greater, if not total, equality between male and female Reploids, with both genders appearing in a variety of positions.

It's funny, i actually did think of that. That's why i said the Zero series is in-between, since characters like Ciel and Fairy Leviathan are important and strong female characters. Plus there are at least two female Mavericks. Even so, Ciel doesn't actually do any of the fighting, although i suspect she eventually upgraded herself with Biometal as leader of the Guardians.

I agree that later series are fine with regard to female cast.
Still, even though we have three female Navigators in the X series, they aren't really "strong" female characters.
Anyway, i think the level of bromance has already reached maximum capacity.

Classic:
Roll, Calinka (If you wanna count her)
X:
Navigators (MHX), Iris, Alia, Layer, Pallet, Nana, Marino, Cinnamon
Zero:
Ciel, resistance chicks (including the operators), Niege
ZX:
Aile, Ashe
Legends:
Roll, Aero, Yuna (if you count her as a protagonist)
as for bosses... hmm lets list them.
Splashwoman, Leviathan, Atlas, Sera.
lolyeah. so few bosses. XD

Ciel is the only female character who made dynamics in politics. There were times when I felt like Capcom is not putting much focus on her. In Zero 3 she was almost non-existent.

I agree that Command Mission has a strong female presence, including Ferham in addition to the above.
Still, it's more or less an outlier in the series.
Also, i'm surprised none of you laughed at my bromance joke.

I totally disagree with your statement. Cinnamon and Marino did not play key roles after their introductions in Chapter 4. They did not do anything important beyond joining X. They only appeared in one action cut scene after Chapter 4, and that was Chef R's death scene. After Chapter 5 all focus was on Axl, X, and Zero.
Ferham did not play a major role. You confronted her once, and later kills herself with the force metal.

Okay, dude. Chill. My reasoning was that since Cinnamon and Marino are canonically playable characters, i considered them important by default. And i found Ferham's death pretty epic, especially since she also helps the Hunters beat Redips even though they killed her leader Epsilon.
Either way, we're on the same side. We both think that the X series is lacking in important, strong female characters (not to mention female Mavericks). And we agree that the whole of the series is what matters, not just one game.

Maybe, but given that this is a series where little boy reploids talk about "growing up" and where robot dogs are apparently color blind, who can say for sure? (the game isn't rated "M" or even "T," so I seriously doubt we'd get any conformation or denial)

Sex and Gender are two different things.
Sex is biological. Penis and Vagina.
Gender are the social roles given to the sexes.

In other words, the point is moot.
There still aren't enough strong female-gender characters, regardless of whether or not Reploids have sexes.
