The "Streets" of New Hera are highways that are build as bridges along the vast New Heran Highway itself. There were also 6 Layers of Highways and bridges. They connect with Layer 2's streets, highways, and back alleys.


Chiba exited the Hotel escorting Juno. There were several Taxi's at the ready with two Taxi's being made specifically for military personal. Chiba opted for one at the lobby and it's Command Panel. After a while, the taxi came by. It was a spacious taxi. Chiba walked over and opened the door motioning for Juno to go first.

"Cliche, but it works." Chiba said.

[From Layer 2]

Ryuta arrives at the first area of the main layer, becoming aware of the vast area of highways seeming to act as the route around the city. He almost wished he brought along his ride chaser, but figures he was due for a long walk anyway. He locates a nearby map to help figure out where the main city is, determining it to be a few blocks from the elevator of the back alleys where he emerged. He looks in the direction the arrow points in before trailing down the sidewalk towards that particular area.

"Why thank you," she arched her body to try and fit into the taxi, sliding over to the second seat. She wondered now, how Chiba's ass would even fit in this taxi! She chuckled like a school-girl at the thought, but tried to give him as much room as he could need.

Chiba did realize the Taxi was a problem since it was small. "Hmm..." he hummed thinking.

A flash occurred and Chiba turned into a mass-model Reploid. He was a small one, standing at 4'6. He stepped into the taxi and and sat next to Juno. He looked like a Mass Produced Federation Soldier.

"Gah, this was an odd choice." M-Chiba said.

He was smaller than Juno. It looked more like Mother and Child to the driver.

"Heh, New Gen... where'll it be?" he asked.

"College and University Research Centers." M-Chiba said presenting his Hunter License verifying his status as a military personal.

Kazuma came in from Layer 1 still trailing Ryuta. He began to dash, using the buildings to his advantage running over roof tops. He easily closed the distance in between them and stood behind him by a few feet with civilians around.

"Heh... You're a fast guy... Let's talk." Kazuma said.

He put his hand on the saber on his waist looking at the civilians; a silent warning.

She was surprised by his sudden chibi-like qualities. She laughed and began patting him on the head. "You're now Chibi. Chibi Masato!"

Ryuta stops and eyes the reploid that seemed to have been pursuing him since his emergence from the Doppler Town ruins.

"Five minutes ago, you were chasing after me, fixing to chase me out of your territory," he mutters, "What made you change your mind all of a sudden?"

"Nothing much..." Kazum said to Ryuta.

"I mainly wanted to tell you something... Something you'd better take into account let's say... Right now." Kazuma said.

He sighed and closed his eyes. He extended his arms outwards nearly hitting civilians.

"Sigma will return and the blonde kid is the key." was all Kazuma said.

"Gah, those woke up some old memories." M-Chiba said.

He smiled for a bit then snapped to attention.

"HRK! DON'T PAT MEE!" M-Chiba said putting his face into his palms.

"Calm down, Chibi." she said, smiling and laid her head back to think.

Ryuta turns his head some, trying rather miserably to hide his exasperated expression at the implication of what the reploid was announcing. According to what little tabloids that managed to pry into Maverick Hunter's business, Sigma had been brought down for good by the Class S Hunters, leaving the implication that his remains were kept in storage to avoid any more attempts to bring him back.

Unless that kid he mentioned had something to do with it.

"What do you mean...?" he grumbles.

"Let's just say, he's got a rather abnormal ability, teal armour, and a red cape. Remember this since you'll be seeing a lot more of him for the next several days..." Kazuma said. "Your choice if you want to try and help the heroes or not... Unlikely you'll succeed. over 25 years have gone into this plan. Even if the Hunters realize this they won't be able to do anything about it." he finished up.

He walked backwards starring at Ryuta before turning around and vanishing into the crowd.

"blaaagh..." M-Chiba said leaning back in his seat.

They were speeding through New Hera in the taxi closing in fast on the Colleges and University Research Facilities.

Ryuta watches him leave, frowning in frustration at the thought of more problems piling onto everyone's plates after only a week of easy breathing. There was very little he could do at the moment but keep the information in mind and continue on his way to the main populous of the city, continuing his original plan of replenishing his energy while exploring the place to see how much has changed since his last visit.

"So, where's this Research station at?" Juno had to inquire about their current destination. A Research facility, huh..

"Top triangle of New Hera behind the schools. It's right next to the harbor. Big harbor..." M-Chiba said.

They passed through the schools tunnels having to stop for the checkpoint. The driver presented his license and Chiba presented his Hunter I.D.. The gates blocking the tunnel opened and they drove in. After driving for a few minutes, they came to the other side of the tunnel under the schools and wound up in a large area. It was like a sector of New Hera with a roof over it. They stopped and entered the [New Hera: Layer 1a: University District]

A taxi carrying Chiba, Kazuo, and Juno came in from [Olympic Hotel]. They were speeding on the highway.

"... We need to go to the Aegean Harbor. The Airport is also too risky... They search Reploids, especially in New Hera, we can't bypass the security using our Hunter ID's since New Hera is against Maverick Hunter's, and the Federation... Not to mention they're all Sigma followers." Chiba said.

"Heey, I'm not a Sigma follower." the driver said.

Chiba looked in the mirror at the driver and felt a sigh of relief. He could loosen up a bit.

"I'm driving this cab since I DIDN'T support this Sigma. They arrested me for that." the driver said.

Chiba's morale fell. If they were gonna come back here in the future, they'd have to pretend to like Sigma.

"... Why not just leave? We could, y'know get you out of here when we leave... New Hera's falling apart soon and... Well, it looks EXTREMELY corrupted." Chiba asked.

"Yeah, I know people who could make you disappear," Juno piped up after recalling a few of her Black Ops members did survive and are in hiding in South Asia.

"Listen, um, what's your name?" Chiba asked the driver.

"Tensy. Tensy Wells." he said with enthusiasm as he sped towards the harbor.

Kazuo and Chiba both stared unsure of how to think about how to react.

"... We're just gonna call you Driver." Kazuo said.

Chiba nodded as Kazuo said that. Chiba was busy thinking.

"... We need to have him talk to Commander Signas. He's human and, well, he's been to court during this session of Maverick worshiping... He knows first hand how corrupted it is since he's been here much longer." Chiba said.

Kazuo snapped to attention. "What about the Cab!?" Kazuo asked in regards to the taxi they were in.

"OH yeah, these Taxi's are tracked. IF you guys can get me out of New Hera, we need to not leave this sitting around since things are recorded here and deleted by the cab driver at the Cab Base.... Since we're not going to the cab base..." Driver said.

"Damn. We need to destroy it or get rid of it. And when we do, we'll be swarmed by Police and Federation." Kazuo said.

"Wow..." She couldn't believe how inconceivable this was. A human was forced against his own will by a police force! "Are we almost there yet?"

"Yep. Checkpoint is just ahead." Driver said as the came across the checkpoint of [Aegean Harbor]
