It's been a while since I've played a Sonic game, since there hasn't been one on PS3 since Unleashed (I think), but I'm excited to see this game, I love nostalgia.

Anyways hearing that only those 2 will be the only playable characters, I'm anxious to see what they got in store for us. They're taking the classic levels and modern ones; (rumored up to be Sonic Adventure 2), so I'm predicting they'll be a ton of levels to run through, plus most of them being redesign so both can play at each other old/new stages.

It sure is nice of SEGA to snub their most loyal buyers by making this release a PS3 and Xbox only. Seriously, years of lackluster games that fans have loyally bought hoping for something good, SEGA decides to make Colours Wii-only because they didn't have any expectations for it in the first place after Unleashed, and then when they see the goldmine it turned out to be, they give Wii users the finger? Thanks! And here I was getting my hopes up to play the type of Sonic game that fans have been waiting years to see.

What's funnier still is how SEGA pretends that the Wii userbase isn't their biggest consumerbase, claiming that all the games they released on the Wii are aimed 'at kids' and that all of their 'true loyalists' are PS3 and Xbox users only. What a miserable disappointment this news has turned out to be. I almost kinda hope it bombs on the PS3 and Xbox despite being awesome, contrary to my hopeful attitude, if simply for SEGA to come crawling back to the Wii users with another shitty game like The Secret Rings, saying "Hey, we're still cool with you guys, right? Right? Please buy our game?"

However,about Classic Shadow.That is retarded AND MAKES Shadow look retarded.Shadow never was classic to begin with,so he didn't have a classic form.Shadow debuted in Sonic Adventure I think.That was already Sonic's mid design after his 1st ten years.Good idea if it weren't,well,idiotic.

^^ Guess I kinda miss the "internet joke" here but I'll just dose off else where for a minute.

@ Telos...I agree that it's disappointing that it's not on the Wii console, at the same time however, Sonic Colors was on the Wii and not on PS3/ Xbox360 and I felt completely bummed about it (game had catchy tunes by the way). Though I really hate to choose sides, it be nice if SEGA choose Sonic Generations to be on all 3 consoles so we can all stop bickering about that issue, but importing it on the Wii now may take up more time, maybe even pushing the game back to 2012 instead of end of the year release...somehow I don't mind that, longer wait = a better game I guess.

Oh well, we'll see what happens in E3 this year.

see the thing about having it on ALL consoles, is that the PS3 and 360 are more powerful than the Wii. if they make a game that takes advantage of the 360 and PS3's power, then they have to dumb it down for the wii. And if they make it for the wii first and release it on the other consoles, then it doesnt take full advantage of their power. And that's something people dont want. So untill Nintendo comes out with a console on the same power level as the 360 and PS3, releases cant be multiconsole across all 3.

The problem is though that Colours was released on the Wii because they didn't want to risk another average sales experience like Unleashed was. Seriously, you can't tell me that SEGA was expecting Colours to do as good as it did when they were busy hyping the hell out of Sonic 4 at the same time. They just had the engine, figured they'd cash in on the Wii fanbase since they always buy their games, and decided to make a lighthearted game. Now that they realize that the Colours formula is solid gold, they're cashing in on the other two consoles' users because those guarantee lots and lots of monies. Sorry, I'm just bitter that we're getting snubbed despite having stuck with SEGA through thick and thin.
