Hmm... I wonder if this is a strange teaser for Sonic The Hedgehog 4: Episode 2. I haven't heard any news regarding that, and the full ending left me wanting more.

Think about it. Sonic meets Retro Sonic. It's probably a metaphor for the continued theme of Sonic 4, which was taking Sonic back to its side-scrolling roots.

Oh,no.Releasing it on X360/PS3,it's being stupid as decent Sonic games those years were released on Nintendo.Taking out a platform who had the previous part would be being a dick.

Colors was the last Sonic console game and it was a Nintendo exclusive (and good so shut up haters)

ANYWAY, if any of you have been paying attention to this since SEGA is terrible at keeping info out from the general public, we have known about this game since September ish. Supposedly going to include the best levels from all the games (guessing that's why Classic Sonic is in there). I know what your thinking, and the answer is that there will not be any levels from Shadow, Sonic 06, and either of the Storybook titles (joke portion of this post is over).


So yeah. I am still gonna wait for actual gameplay for me to get excited about this. Having HD remakes of Classic levels sounds cool, and so is the possibility of them making some of those 2D levels in 3D (similar to the unlockable Green Hill Zone in SA2).

Also.....there you go old Sonic fans that would not stop your bitching about every damn thing. His eyes are black, if you complain about anything else, you can burn in hell for all I care.......though I do agree with you that the short spines on the old model look a lot better then the long anime ish ones he has now....but oh well.

I simply think something like Sonic CD 2 where Dr. Eggman/Robotnik isn't messing with Time, but instead is messing with actual existence. I mean, since Eggman Nega can capture things and place them into Cards, it's totally possible. They've fought gods, been sucked into Story Books, fought aliens, been turned into cards... I expect Dr. Robotnik to mess with the very universe of Sonic the Hedgehog. Totally makes sense to me.

Oh my gosh, people. IT'S A REMAKE OF OLD LEVELS! More then likely the same exact levels, with the same exact gameplay, only with a fresh coat of paint. If it was anything more I'd be shocked. Hence, Sonic 1-3 will still be in 2d and everything else in 3d......are we clear now?

Im pretty sure EVERY level thats going to be remade is going to play like Colors/Unleashed daytime. That includes Sonic 1-3 stages. I could be wrong though, we'll just have to wait and see.

If it does play like Colours (BIG if, but still) and have a little storyline to fill in the gaps too, I think it'll be awesome. I've always wanted them to bring the first games into a new format rather than rehashing and porting them.

While this is exciting and all...I am kinda iffy on it. I mean, at the very sight of the classic Sonic I'd regularly jump for joy, but something tells me this won't end well. The reality of the situation is most likely due to the poor feedback from the previous games straying further and further from the Sonic feel, in gameplay and looks, they had to think of a way to please everyone. So what easier way to do that is to introduce the "classic" Sonic. What will follow is probably a lackluster storyline and questionable gameplay. All will become clear when more is revealed though, so I do hope for the best. Though in retrospect (pardon the pun) having the two Sonics which are the SAME Sonic, one just with the original art style and the other with the turn of the century style introduced in Adventure, in the SAME game seems like a recipe for disaster. This isn't like Mega Man and Mega Man X meeting, this is the same creature we're talking about. They're walking on thin ice and playing the nostalgia card and betting everything on it this time. However what they should have done is use the classic Sonic style for Sonic 4. I can forgive the other games as they were just following suit with what Adventure introduced, but Sonic 4 should have had the classic designs. End of story.

In the end, a teaser is a teaser and teases it does. After all I wrote up there, who knows what this game means, lol. Redemption? Retardation?

I gotta say myself that I'm liking the innovative gameplay twist here. It's bringing the new and old school fans together even closer or further, depending how you look at it. Also you have to excuse the plot line on this one because well Sonic in general was never too big on story too begin with...So far the game looks promising, hey Sonic Colors was a success so why not this one?
