Fuck you Capcom. Scramble Battle was going to be the MegaMan fighting game, not some crappy mode in Street Fighter. And seeing Laws dinner is awesome.


So when is Namco going to show us some Tekken side footage? Capcom is spamming this shit via facebook and Namco hasn't released a thing. I want to see the Tekken end as its the one I want.

Namco made mention that they're going to take their time working on their version of Tekken X Street Fighter, seeing as they want make a Tekken 7 first, (I think...) They did draw up a concept Ryu though. You can see pictures of him here

I don't think Megaman belongs in Street Fighter X Tekken. His and Pac Man's presence wouldn't make ANY sense IMO with the type of crossover universe they're trying to set up here. For that manner, I don't think it makes much sense to include Cole as a Hidden or a DLC, but as a Capcom Easter Egg of sorts, I suppose it would be neat to play as him. I dunno, honestly, since it's supposed to be a CROSS-OVER (as in one SINGLE cross-over), I just think it's enough seeing Ryu & Law go at it. If the title were Street Fighter vs. the world, it'd be different. But that's basically Marvel vs. Capcom, so there we go... (end rant)

I am on the neutral side with this post. Yes, it does not make sense for Megaman and Pac Man to be in this crossover because they are not part of Street Fighter or Tekken.

But people also have to consider that Street Fighter and Tekken has their share of unusual characters too.

For Street Fighter, this series has Blanka, Necro, Twelve, and Seth, to name a few.

For Tekken, this series has intelligent animals (Kuma, Roger, Roger Jr., etc.); robots (Alisa, Nancy, the Jacks), Demonic upgraded characters (Devil Kazuya and Devil Jin; with Jinpachi's devil and Jun's Unknown forms to smaller extents); and evil demon gods (Ogre, Azazel).

As a result, having Megaman and Pac Man as guest characters for Street Fighter X Tekken makes sense as well. Heck, just look at Zero in SVC Chaos. He was very good in that game to the point where he was nearly broken.

I don't really care. THe game looks to be more like MVC than any street fighter game. Now if both are in the Tekken side, ehhhh that might feel odd.

Yeah, Megaman will have no problem fitting in with the rest of the cast. Especially when you consider how exotic Tekken characters can be. What does bother me is the negative reception to this, though. Fans are upset that a Megaman isn't in UMvC3, and then they get upset that he's in another fighting game?

The best I can surmise the feeling is.. imagine you asked for a chocolate cake with cherries (I don't friggin' know, I'm running outta allegories here, bear with me). You really wanted one, but the person making the cake relentlessly baits and switches you with everything BUT cherries, even going so far as to carve strawberries into the shape of cherries and try to pass it off as that. Imagine you've been in a vehement struggle with the chef in regards to this, with the chef practically mocking you at every turn despite having no valid reason to give you why in all of fuck he just can't give you a chocolate cake with cherries on top.

..And then the chef gives you a cherry pie.

Alot of people on SRK are already hating on this game because of the gems.
But if it brings more people into the fighting game community and is fun then I think it serves it's purpose. I may get it, who knows.

Looks like Mega Man will be a Vita exclusive... Which is fine with me, because I think all the SF & Tekken characters are fine as it is. Any extra ingredients will spoil the pudding if you ask me...
