You get chips after you beat certain bosses. Aztec Falcon gives you elec, some orb like boss gives you fire, and a icy buffalo gives you ice.

As for weapons, after you complete a certain mission talk to Cerviue and he'll give you a weapon. The only one I recall is the one with the elephant. That one should give you the triple rod.

The missions themselves in question are the disposal center one for thunder (first one you can do after the intro stage), the occupy factory for fire (which I think is unlocked via destroy train), and the find hidden base for ice (I think the rescue shuttle mission ulnocks this one). Triple rod is obtained via retrieve data. Not sure which mission gives you the shield boomerang, just keep checking with the scientist.

Youtube actually has some pretty nice videos where players run through each stage finding all the Cyber Elves, Sub-Tanks, Secret Disks, Capsules, etc. for almost every Mega Man game in the Zero and X series. I've used a couple, actually.

Here is a link of one channel that does things for elves and secret disks for MMZ1-3.


He/she has videos for each stage of each game collecting all of the items corresponding to the game.


Just search the name of the game, then type in all ____ (whatever you're looking for).


Also, mmhp.com has game hints for each game.
