Someone told me that Donkey Kong Country 4 was announced today. I was curious about it, so I googled it. It just so happened that it WAS announced. I think that's awesome. Obviously it's for the Wii. That's why I decided to post the topic here. I read that it's going to still have the 2D gameplay.

I've always waited for this day, to hear about a new DKC game! and I'm so happy to hear this was announced.

Won't be as good as the SNES trilogy, but with them as the foundation (hopefully) for this new one, it can't be bad. I'm certainly interested.

OMG!! I can't wait to tell my sister and my mother about this! My sister and my mother used to play this game in Super Nintendo era, my most favorite was DKC2! But as for DKC4...Holy crap it's like New Super Mario Bros. Wii all over again. =D

Just to let you guys knwo that DKC 4 is NOT the official title.....it's DKC Returns. Besides, isn't DK 64 technically the 4th entry in the series anyway? And if you throw Jungle Beat in there, this is the 6th entry technically.

Sweet. Reviving the classics. Definitely have to try to save up some money, which won't be easy since I got my house payments now, and get this. Now if they would only do a Yoshi's Island for the Wii that is true to the original and not the shitty DS remake.

Anyways, nice to see Retro doing something that isn't Metroid. They have a great track record, but really the only games they've done so far have been FPS/Adventure games. I'm curious to see their first foray into platforming.

Wow, I didn't realize it's been so long since this thread's been posted in.

Some more Donkey Kong Country Returns footage has finally been released, showcasing Rambi's gameplay this time. This game is looking more awesome than ever. Although, for some reason, Rambi's gameplay reminds me of the way Hoofer played in Donkey Kong Jungle Beat, but that's not too big of a deal. It still looks fun to play either way. I can't wait to get my hands on this when it's released.

Nice!

The only thing I'm disappointed in is that they took out the Kremlings and other Kongs. They said that they want to stick more with the jungle theme. But hey, this still looks very good.
