[Magnus Blade]

These Mountains are dangerous if you go on the other side of them. One side is clear from any danger but this safe side is only 10% of the mountains. On the other side, there are security drones stationed there with hidden lasers, cannons, etc. These drones, weapons, and the dangerous side of the mountains covers up and protects an unknown castle hidden deep within the ground between two splits in the ground caused by a small earthquake years ago. It's probably best to avoid the dangerous side if you want to keep your head...or body.

[From Zephyr City]

Magnus ventures his way up these mountains he found as he thought the Sanctuary was around there according to the hint from the book. "Well, I made it. It's a good thing I've seen these mountains before while going on a mission months ago." He says as he walks up a road he sees leading up towards the point where he can see the other side.

When Magnus looks over, he sees many drones and weapons. "What the...?!" He said suprisingly. Magnus was thinking hard as he eyed down this heavy security. Damn...what's beyond that other side of these mountains that someone occupied almost all of the mountain's space with heavy security...? I really hope this Sanctuary isn't that way... He says to himself as he continues to walk up the road on the safe side.

When the Flaming Champion reaches up to another stopping point, he sits down on the ground and pulls out his water bottle for a short break before he starts back walking. As he drinks his water and chills out, he notices something strange yet familiar poking out the ground. "...Stones?" He says but then remembers the book. "Stones! Yes! The Sanctuary should beyond these Mountains then but according to the book, the mountains and stones were only a guide to the Sanctuary..." Magnus says as he gets up and studies the stones.

[Vash and Ezekiel from Giga City's - Force Metal Mines. Heading off course of their intentional destination]

A flaming air bus pierce through the cloudy gray skies. It hurls back down to earth like a comet ready to meet it's end. Inside was Vash and Ezekiel who attempt to pilot the malfunctioning air bus. The flying vehicle shakes rapidly like an aerial earthquake as it reaches further down on the mountains surface. . .Vash on the drivers side, attempts to steer themselves to clear out of harms way; giant mountain boulders and such. He pulls the steering wheel sharply to the left as his metal arm stretches and rips from the diving pressure, "Gotta. . .take. . .us. . down safely. . .have to...stand clear!!!" Vash shouts while the air bus goes deeper.

In moments the burning air bus crashes onto Hellish Mountains. Hundreds of metal shard debris and smokey flames burst from the vehicle as it explodes mildly on the ground. While black smog hazed up into the air, Vash and Ezekiel quickly pry themselves out of the air bus with all their strength left. Ezekiel makes it out first but suddenly fell on his knees; his right ankle was crushed from the ground impact and his left elbow broken, reducing his physical strength tremendously and his body armor majorly dented in several places on his torso. .Vash from behind slowly crawls his way out, suffering only minor injuries; a cracked helmet, a slightly twisted left wrist and a weak knee in both places. Vash shrugs off the pain and drags himself towards his friend.

"Ezekiel. . .you use your own body to. . .protect me. . why'd you do it? I would of been okay from the crash" said Vash as he leans over to his buddy.

Ezekiel laughs softly, "Hehehe. . .you would of end up like me if I didn't use my own body to reduce the impact. . .If collision have gotten of us both, there be no hope for survival for any of us" said Ezekiel. The elephant-reploid leans on his back further, hoping to reduce the pain on his body. Vash stood up and looks over the horizon of the Hellish Mountains, luckily the landed at the base of the mountain. However, they weren't sure if it was safe to travel or not. Vash looks back at Ezekiel, his body was badly injured but he'll survive for at least a week without a recharge station or maintenance bed.

"I think I should check this place out to see where we're at" said Vash while drawing out his sword. "Are you gonna be okay for a few minutes by yourself?" he asked.

Ezekiel slowly brought out his severely damaged F10 Plasma Cannon, "I'll live" Ezekiel replied. And so Vash slowly walks off to observe the environment.

As Magnus studies the stones, he witnesses a crashed air bus that landed down from the direction he just came. "Whoa! What the hell?!" He said as felt like he jumped out of his skin. He held his left arm with his right hand on the cloth over the injury he had from Faust earlier as it stinged a bit but the pain soon vanished and he removed his hand. He had became curious of what happened so he begins to put the top over his water bottle as he snaps it back on his belt as he walks back down the path he came from. If it were some Mavericks, he was prepared for battle as he keeps his hands in a position where he could pull them out quickly but if it were some injured people, he would at least try to help.

Vash later decided to take the high ground for a better view of the place. He takes up the high road and begins walking slowly but somehow he couldn't keep up with the high altitude, his weakened knees, that was damaged from the air bus crash, felt heavier as he continues further up the mountains. As his knees started to ache more and more, he quickly stabs the ground with his sword, then leans over then back to measure his balance. Vash then continues on with his path while using his sword as a cane, "Just 40 to 60 feet higher up. . .and I'll get a bird's eye view from here" said Vash to himself.

Meanwhile Ezekiel at the base of the mountain, drags himself closer to the air bus wreckage. The once dancing flames 'n smoke that was on it started to calm down as mountain winds were picking up. Ezekiel leans over to analyze the busted vehicle, "There's no way that an air bus's back thrusters just blows up like that.." he states. His severely crushed ankle and left elbow hindered his mobility but becoming more curious about the bus, he crawls to the rear end of it to have a further look. The elephant-reploid quickly examines the thrusters, that propel/ moves the machine, for a few moments, "Hm?...this is odd" said Ezekiel.

Magnus continued down the path as he nears the spot he had seen the heavy security. As he glanced back at the drones and guns, he notices someone coming up the mountain. He couldn't tell if he was either a Maverick or one of those drones as he puts his hand on the hilt of the Godly Levanter. His hand remained on the hilt until he realized that the Reploid didn't seem to look like a Maverick and he looked injured. Magnus starts to run over to the Reploid in attempts to help.

Vash still dragging himself up the mountains see's a being in flaming red armor. He kneels back to prepare himself for combat but looking closely at the being, Vash notices a Maverick Hunter symbol on him. . .Vash then smiles with relief and fell to his knees as he couldn't take anymore pressure from the high altitude and gravity. He looks over, "What are the odds a Maverick Hunter being here. . ." Vash replied to the oncoming red figure. He quickly leans on his back against a small boulder to relive himself from the hike.

Back at the wreckage, Ezekiel analyzes the thrusters even further. The wires near the back engine was mangled with as if someone had rearranged them accordingly. Green and blues wires twisted and connected into their opposite components, so Ezekiel twiddles it for a bit to examine it closer. "This air bus was rigged. . ." stated Ezekiel, "Someone knew that we be taking this ride from the start..but how?"

OOC: Lol, Magnus has black armor but no biggie, happens all the time. xD

"Uh-oh!" Magnus says as he makes it to the Reploid and checks out his injures. "You're very lucky to escape a crash with just these damages." He says as he pulls the Reploid's arm over his shoulder and raises up off the ground to help him up. "Are you the only survivor?" Magnus asks as he looks over in the direction of the crash site not too far from here.

Vash holding onto his chest while thanking the flaming warrior, "I have a friend back at the air bus crash about 20 yards behind me. He's badly injured but he's a strong guy..." Vash replied. He then rubs his right shoulder to get some feeling back in his arm, next Vash points down south of the mountain to show this fire warrior the way of the crash site. "This way" said Vash as he glares at the black armored being. Soon he starts to shuffle his feet back down the mountain base...later he wonders why a Maverick Hunter like this one was wondering in such a large mountain all by himself, so Vash just had to ask out of curiosity, "You must be a high-ranking Maverick Hunter for traveling to place like this all by yourself. . .do you normally patrol this area?" he kindly asked.

At the damaged air bus, Ezekiel rips a small piece on one of the blue wires connected to a electrical box built within the thrusters. He squeezes out the strands of copper within the plastic sheath to have a better look in to it. Something suspicious caught his eye, "The copper wiring are cut by....something incredibly small. An energy saber couldn't do that unless this person must of have high specs?" said Ezekiel to himself. Minutes later, he turns and see's a small spectacle dot, it was Vash...and with him was black armored being, "I'm glad he found some help...in such a weird place too" he says.

Magnus helps the Reploid down the path as he looks over at the area of the crash one more time. "Well, I'm an A-Class so I'm experienced enough to handle my own a bit but nope, this area is new to me..." He says as he keeps walking. "I'm actually on an investigation and these Mountains are just a pathway to my next destination." He stated while trying to look fowards some more as he sees a large figure from a distance as he picked up the pace.

"Taking you back to a town for repairs won't do. By the time we make it there, it'll be too late for you guys but..." He then remembers reading in the book that the Sanctuary had a small hospital that treated all species and an idea triggered in his mind. "...I can take you and your friend to my destination as it is closer than the city..." He suggests as he comes into a distance with the other injured survivor.

Ezekiel notices the oncoming black armored warrior, so he stays clear as he glares at the Maverick Hunter symbol attached to the flame warrior. He behaves himself enough not to thrash at this person as Ezekiel's history/ relationship with the Hunters has always been shaky for the past several years, "Wow. . .this is awkward" Ezekiel whispered to his friend.

Vash foreseen his friend's remark, he leans over to Ezekiel to give him a heads up, "Watch it Ezekiel, I know you don't like Maverick Hunters but this guy is our only chance of survival" whispered Vash, "So you better behave young man" he then says sarcastically.

The elephant reploid grunts and turns back at the crash site, feeling like he's been treated like a child. Vash sighs from his friend's bitter behavior but quickly realizes their situation at hand. He turns to the flame warrior, "Anywhere but here is fine. . .what's the place called?" asked Vash as he smiles.

Magnus felt an odd presence from the larger Reploid. A feeling of a bit of hate but he pays no mind to it. "Well, from what I know, the place is called the Hidden Sanctuary of Flame. It's apparently like a big home to everyone who is welcomed, a small hosiptal is there, and well-guarded." He says as he begins to look as his hand. "...I actually can't wait to see it as it seems quite peaceful. A Cyborg like me is always busy and all..."

Magnus starts to fall off subject a bit then gets back at the situation at hand. "But I guess I can explain a bit more on the way." He then walks to the larger Reploid and offers his hand. "Even though I can't possibly carry you since you look severely damaged and ten times bigger than me, I have enough strength to at least help you walk there. The Sanctuary shouldn't be too far from here and we can make it just in time." he states as he puts a smile on his face. "I won't force you and your pal but I can't just possibly leave two injured people out in the open...especially with all those security drones that has occupied 90% of these mountains..." He points out while looking at a drone from a distance.

Ezekiel nods reluctantly at Magnus's generous offer and later with his right functioning arm, he grabs a hold of the flame warrior's hand. He awkwardly lifts himself up from Magnus's grip, then Vash cuts in from opposite side and lifts Ezekiels under arm from the left; both of them supporting the heavy reploids weight. . .Vash looks over at flame being to reassure, "You said there's drones patrolling these mountains? Why?" asked Vash after he stares at a robotic drone from afar as well. Soon he slowly start to move an inch forward as Vash grew cautious at these mysterious security drones he heard about.

As Magnus lift the Reploid's right arm, he starts to move a bit and began to walk back up the road slowly, trying not to worsen the Reploid's condition. "I don't know. But they are obviously protecting something over there. These Mountains look huge from just this side. Anyone's crazy to try to fight all those drones with a small force..." Magnus explained as he eyed a drone one last time before he starts to walk a bit faster. "This small side isn't so big. Even at this slow speed, I estimate we'll be out these mountains around fifteen to twenty minutes..." He guessed.

"I see. . .security gotta be tight around here then" replied Vash, while holding up Ezekiel in the under arm. "Alright just lead us to this sanctuary of yours and we'll be out of your way. It seems you gotta a lot on your hands already in the future" says Vash to Magnus. It seems he can trust this flaming warrior; his warm, bright yet furious aura was strong. He sense some positive energy within this black armored being, it was good enough to trust him all the way. Though Vash was unsure how Ezekiel feel about this but for now, all Vash cares about is each others safety.

Magnus shakes his head. "No. I want to make sure you guys are taken care of before I head back to my business." He says as he keeps walking. "I'll just feel guilty right after just assuming you guys would be taken care of." He says then sees the spot he was previous at before the crash, eyeing the two stones again. He temporarily takes one of his arms off the larger Reploid and points in the direction foward. "Beyond that path is probably our way out." He says as he smiles again.

Magnus wanted to help them so bad. He's been helped many times and he believed it's his time to return the favor by helping the injured. "The name's Magnus. Who are you guys?" He asked.

Vash felt some comfort from the flame warrior words, "Nice to meet you Magnus. My names Vash, the Elemental Samurai-Knight" he replied. Then glares up at his friend a bit, "This big guy here is Ezekiel. . .we're merc--" he quickly interrupts himself silent, almost mentioning that their real occupations are mercenaries and knowing Maverick Hunters, they don't take kindly to them. Luckily in a in just a few milliseconds, he then rephrases, "We MAKE sure that New-Generation Reploids are well trained. . .technically we oversee them" he says while attempting to cover up their true jobs.

He then stares at the same stones that Mangus was looking into, "Those are some funny looking landmarks there. This place feels ancient."

Magnus eyes Vash strangely but pays it no mind. "I...see. Seems pretty interesting." He says. It was obvious that he was trying to cover up something but Magnus wasn't the type to butt in other's secrets. If they wanted to keep on the low, he would have no choice but to accept that fact.

He then looks over to the statues one last time before he starts to walk again. "Yeah...I'll have to ask about them whenever I talk to the Leader of the Sanctuary. They've gotten me curious..." He stated then kept walking.

As they by pass the strange markings from the stones, Vash had to ask as his friends injuries were getting much worse as they were traveling further down the mountain, "Let's speed things up and get the heck out of here" said Vash while looking back at the statues as well, "This area is kinda giving me the creeps..." Then he and Ezekiel readies to leave with Magnus.

Magnus nods as he continue forth.

Five minutes pass as they made it to the end of the trail. Magnus looks below and something looked odd. He had seen a large path down leading from the mountains to a forest-like area and he notices that some trees looked odd from his position. It then clikced in his mind. "Hold up a sec guys..." He says as he closes his eyes and reopened them as he activated his Phoenix Eyes.

Looking straight through the odd looking trees, he had seen a blurry image that looked like a large building but he couldn't see anymore. There it is! The Sanctuary! I must say...the place IS hidden good... He says to himself. He then walks down the path. "Alright, I know where it is. Let's go." He says, thinking about what the place is like.
