"... Detect whether this model... Um... Successfully 'replicated' an organic soul... I can reveal no further..." Dr. S said.

He took off the glasses and handed them over to Ryuta and he simply pointed at the crowd outside the restaurant; specifically one of the Reploids dressed up as Sigma. It was a typical mass model Reploid following the trend... It was a simple test for Ryuta using the glasses.

Ryuta takes the glasses in his hands, analyzing them before slipping them on, being careful not to get his large, right bang caught in it, and looking towards the reploid pointed out. He didn't know whether he should press something or expect some kind of automated program to boot up and give him stats of the reploid he's staring at.

After 3 seconds, the glasses automatically started; it outlined the Reploid Ryuta was looking at and immediately, a list popped up. A highlight scrolled through the list at fast speeds, picking three models; all mass model. A European model common to factories, a Canadian Model common to construction, and a Japanese Model common to construction also. It quickly checked off everything the Reploid had, debunking the European model, it nullified the additions added on to imitate Sigma... And it debunked the Canadian model. It was a Japanese Model Construction Reploid, first grade for the heavy duty jobs... Like an unstable building or a terrible land. It was nowhere near combat-ready... But it could intimidate anybody able to recognize Sigma. The glasses posted a title; "CANADIAN CONSTRUCTION EBEC-1053", and a year of creation... "2198"; around where Jakob occurred... And the start of the Nano Incident; the very reason all of this is happening. It paused, waiting for Ryuta's mind to want to investigate more.

"It's... Um... A bit of a database... Useful on the rare, desperate occasion..." Dr. S said.

Ryuta observed the stats, seeing nothing special from any other observation device that could work just as well, but he's learned many times that experience doesn't gain from simple glances alone. He attempts to see what else the glasses can pull out of that reploid, still contemplating how this has anything to do with his spirit reading abilities and if there really is an artificially organic soul dwelling inside any of the reploids visible within its tinted range.

"Um... Total confusion on... Your end I guess... I hate to... Um... Say this but... It's like that to me... AS well... And such..." Dr. S said as he yawned and quickly snatched the glasses back as his eyes were getting agitated from seeing nothing but insane blotches and blurs.

Ryuta barely flinched from the snatch, looking towards Dr. S before heaving a frustrated sigh and pulling his left glove back on, "I don't know what to say. We never knew organic souls could be artificially grown. About the closest method I can think of is to clone a human body and then extract its soul into the body of a reploid before it grows old enough to recognize itself; but I doubt even the most cruel and disheartening people wouldn't go that far either because they don't have the right technology, or they don't want to risk such an experiment turning against them and causing havoc far worse than what Sigma's caused so far."

"... This is exactly a... Um... Problem... The Elzareth fellow... That was what he... Um... worked on during the... The... Nano Incident... Creating a Reploid soul detectable... Only if all of his 'souls' united... Which is what... Um... Mr. Masato did to himself... Unwitting and unwillingly..." Dr. S said.

Ryuta muffles a sigh as he rests his elbows on the table, folded his hands and pressed his lips against them, "I can try searching blind, relying on awareness to determine whether there are reploids with artificial souls in them. Soul-bound reploids tend to believe they were once human, something I learned after encountering some ninja-like reploid several days ago and, most recently, the detective aiding the non-corrupt Federation. If there is an artificial soul, it would most like believe itself to be a reploid through and through; it can't have a single memory of being born human or otherwise."

He seemed to be trailing while he talked, indicating he was already concentrating on scouring the globe for those artificial souls. Though he is one of the strongest spirit readers on the planet, it still took some kind of concentration just to weed out what he mentioned earlier.

"Um... Thing is that if... Well, uh, if... I discover my assumption to be correct... It'll be much easier to fight knowing... That the enemy has... Um... Created essentially... The most human-like Reploid ever... One capable of true free will..." Dr. S said.

He reached back into his pocket and grabbed his cellphone again. He turned the backlight on and scrolled to contacts. He arrived at the R once more... And highlighted "R" once more. The signal was available. Dr. S smiled and instead of calling, he locked his phone and placed it back in his pocket.

Ryuta breaks concentration, not seeming to find what he was expecting. It was a futile effort anyway, but it wouldn't hurt to try.

He saw Dr. S pulling out his cell and scrolling through the phone list for R's number again, but then put it away without pressing anything. He seems to be using it like some kind of monitor to make sure whoever owned that singular letter was still alive. Ryuta decides not to question it and contemplates whether he should go through with his plan of getting that facial disguise or wait around to see what else the stuttering doctor had to say.

"Um... It... Err, seems that I... Can, um... We need to leave... To a specific facility of... Um, mine..." Dr. S said.

He once more reached into his pocket, this time pulling out a small card. He pressed a button and it powered on. IT was a memo pad. He scrolled through the memos arriving at one. He stared for a long while and then turned it, showing it to Ryuta. It read:

CLOUD LABS
STRATUS FACILITY
TORONTO, ONTARIO

... But it was upside down. He merely powered it off and placed the card-thin device back into his pocket.

Ryuta was able to read the card despite its disposition before getting up, "It looks like Maverick Hunter's mission is almost over. I'll be quick with finding the disguise before heading over to the location."

He prepares to head for the cafe's exit, his mind set on the suburban district where most of the clothing shops are located.

"In... Um, Toronto... There is a Hunter whom uses Ordarium..." Dr. S said, obviously wanting to see what the potential future threat will be.

Dr. S stood up and threw his arms out, nearly hitting Ryuta accidentally. He placed both hands in his pockets and he began walking out. He seemed to be slouching over a lot more than he did before almost as if he had a severe spinal problem. He continued as he left the restaurant and proceeded to push through the massive crowd. They had to hurry to Toronto and back so they could initiate the plan to evacuate civilians from harms way.

Ryuta barely flinched when Dr. S seemingly stretched the kinks out of his body, watching as he saunters, rather stiffly into the crowd outside the restaurant. He decides not to question the doctor's appearance further as he continues through his own path through the crowd towards the Suburban areas to put forth his original plan of meeting the original Hunters incognito.

[Leaves Central Park]

Dr. S cracked his neck and he left the Central Park heading towards the [Streets].

Elzareth flew in from [Energy Plant] as he scanned the area. He released the gravity field around him used to fly and he fell towards the ground. At the last moment, he activated a gravity field and he touched the ground lightly. Several people looked in awe and clapped. Elzareth ignored them. He walked through the crowds, aggressively shoving sometimes as he looked for somebody... The one he saw earlier... Ryuta...

[From Suburban District]

Ryuta arrived near the outskirts to see the mix eyed reploid storming through a crowd that had formed around him, seeming to be looking for someone; most likely him given he was the only outsider that had meddled in his affairs. This could be an opportunity to use the Copy Chip Dr. S gave him, but decides it was probably best to try and act like he was drawn into the culture of this city in hopes that he wouldn't think he was the same person.

He starts to wander towards the slowly dispersing crowd, searching around for any students that might help him spread interest in the invitation to the University.

Elzareth paused. He felt a familiar person but he didn't know if it was... He looked in Ryuta's general direction. He scanned the area carefully and focused his gravity field. He stared at Ryuta, pausing for several seconds.

"..." he said nothing as he observed Ryuta.

Ryuta attempts to ignore Elzareth's observant gaze as he confronts what little of the crowd remains and reenacts the invitation speech he made back at the Suburban District, pointing them in the direction of the University. He can only hope what assumptions Elzareth might have on him would extinguish as just another person trying to help encourage the support towards Sigma's desires.

Elzareth looked away, coming to the conclusion that Ryuta... Wasn't Ryuta. He didn't have time to scan his whole body. He had to find Ryuta soon.
