The study area of the library is for anyone looking to brush up on 21-22XX history, as well as a home to a smorgasbord of Hunter data.
All of this is documented in the small computers lined up in neat rows throughout the Library, some of which have their own enclosed cubicle for privacy. The study area also has encrypted files stored away in secretive high security nooks, but they are reserved only for the high-ranked personnel that are likely to need it.

[From the Library Front-Line Desk]
Avian walks over to the seat at her quiet designated computer station and sits down, making herself as comfortable as she can manage in a public place. She places her tracking card on the table next to the computer and scans the machine for a on switch... Which actually took a few minutes.
Damn freaking..thing! Avian thought. She was starting to get frustrated when she discovered the machine is touch activated, after, in a puzzled slump, she rests her right hand on the top of the monitor. Whoops, eheheheheheh.... She felt sheepish at her mistake, but only for the moment.
The computer came on with a welcoming beep. Pleased with this new development, Avian got to work reading every non-password protected file she could, and was sure to make a mental data log of all of this as well. Navigating the screens by lightly dragging a finger across the monitor display, she decided to start from the beginning and read the history of the Maverick Hunters and their accomplishments first.
With every file she read, Avian became more and more impressed. She couldn't believe that the actions of just a handful of Hunters could do what was done. The Sigma revolts. The Doppler Town incident. The Repliforce War. All dangerous scenarios that no one platoon should be able to fell, but here it was in front of her: all of it quelled by the actions of primarily just two Reploids. Avian found it hard to believe what she was reading.
She has heard of the Earth Crisis, of course. That was world wide news, and was common knowledge to almost anyone around even after the event has long passed. But once again the articles flashing across the screen didn't lie, telling of sides of the story commonly untold. They tell of how two courageous soldiers and a few brilliant minds fought for the lives of everyone on Earth. It was moving tale, made all the more spectacular knowing that this is all fact rather than fiction.
Next came a few things Avian wasn't so aware of. The Nightmares. Red Alert. She only heard whispers of these things floating around her airbase like afterthought phantoms, not sure if they held any merit. Now she knows these rumors are indeed true, and knowing this only serves to cement her amazement. Onward Avian read, not able to peel her optics away.
Then there was the mention of the Jacob Project, and after that the Giga City raid. By this point, Avian was convinced that the Maverick Hunters were more then just the oppressive glory hounds she heard they were, they were true heroes just trying to make the world a safer place. Avian gave her head a loose shake as she finished reading the history, still in a little doubt of what she just read. It seemed unreal that a single group could do all this.
Exited to see what else she could find on the database, Avian scrolled to the Hunter Data, where she could learn more about the people she may to work with. As the thought, the profiles proved more of what she found on her walk in the hallways; Hunters from all walks of life, all unique and infinitely interesting. All of this almost made her eager to start her first mission, just the thought of working with one of these people got her giddy almost to the point of outward expression. Reminding herself to stay calm, Avian kept going...
(Edit)
Avian finishes up her profile studies, keeping sure to only read need-to-know or useful-to-know information, things like name, rank, description. Maybe reading about what some of these people can do. Nothing ever about background, as she is not the kind of individual to poke her nose in someone elses' business, unless it is her strict order by superior officers. She then closes all windows on the monitor screen and looks for an off switch to the computer, hesitating when she remembers she doesn't know the floor plan to the Hunter Base. Once again, she dives back in to the data files searching for answers.
This time they came quickly. Avian found a floor plan mere moments into her search and copied the plan to memory just by looking at it, filling in the blanks she had when on her little tour earlier. Again, she found something interesting.
What the hey? This was the first thought that came to her mind after finding a cafeteria room. What on Earth would a base full of Reploids need one of these for?It was another oddity to her. Back home on her airbase, all the Reploids needed was their re-charge pods, they had no need for such a luxury as a cafeteria. As decent as these Maverick Hunters seemed to be, they were spoiled.
There is only one sure way to find out what kind of use a cafeteria would have in a place like this. Closing all monitor windows again and finally finding a way to shut the computer off, Avian does so and picks up the tracking card that she placed next to her computer. She then stood up, pushed her chair in underneath the computer desk as quietly as possible, and headed to the library front desk to check out. Time to see what this cafeteria was all about.
