It's been an honor having Lucas Gilbertson (voice of Zero) as part of the team here at MMX9.com, but now it's time for your voices to be heard as well.

We are now starting the casting phase for an undisclosed project we hope to start soon. Below are lines for each character, and you may email your voice samples to my email address, along with your name/username and the character you are auditioning for. You can send as many as you want, and I will be posting in this topic regularly to update everyone on the status.


X
- I was attacked by Sigma... My armor was damaged... But I'm all
right...
- That's right... It's begun again... How long must this war go on?
- I'll finish this. Right here. Right now. I will defeat you, Sigma!

Axl
- You show up late and have the nerve to complain? I can more than handle a
few Mavericks all by myself anyway.
- Just try not to think about it. We've come this far. Let's just take care
of that last Maverick and move on, OK?
- Don't let him get to you, X. He's the enemy.

Dr. Light
- This war should never have happened, X... Why must Reploids fight each other?
- So you've come... X, I gave you the ability to choose your own path in life, and I hoped the world would allow you to choose a peaceful one.
- I've given you the power to think, to worry, and to grow, and evolve
as you fight. But... it is too soon for that power to be unleashed.

Sigma
- Welcome! I see you managed to get here by yourself. Very impressive! I could destroy you, but I would not rob my pet of that pleasure. He knows how to deal with betrayers. Should you live, I will be waiting for you. Don't disappoint me X!
- Mega Man X, I have lost to you again... Each defeat only makes me stronger
and serves to bring you closer to your ultimate doom! But, something is not
right. I... don't quite understand... Why did Zero... He is ... last... of the
doctor's creations... Arrrrrggggghhhhh....
- Your dedication to what you refer to as "justice" is what first got me
thinking... I realized the imperfection of this world, and decided I must
change it.

Vile
- Don't think that this is the end, X! I will haunt you to the day you die......
- You worthless piece of scrap metal, did you think you could defeat me?
- It begins now, X. A new world will be born! Ha ha ha, ha ha ha!

Lumine
- Am I OK? Of course. Now that you've defeated Sigma, I suppose
you're satisfied. Thanks to you, the plan has gone smoothly.
- This decision to wage battle against the old world was made consciously.
In other words, we possess the power to go Maverick at will!
- Ha ha ha. You really don't have a grasp of the situation, do you? Oh
well... You'll find out soon enough...

Alia
- Can you hear me, Zero? We're picking up a strange energy source below you. You don't want
to fall down there without Ride Armor protection. Be careful!
- This is Hunter Base. Can you hear me, X?
- X... X... Status report!

Layer
- This is a waste disposal facility that uses the heat of the volcano for
incineration. At its center is a core of molten magma. Please be careful.
- I'm running simulators right now, but it looks like their virus resistance is absolute.
- Nice to meet you, Hunters. My name is Layer. My specialty is analyzing
enemy abilities. I hope I can be of use.

Pallette
- We still haven't determined exactly why the new generation Reploids
are going Maverick.
- Zero! Have you forgotten already? I'm Pallette. This here is Layer.
We're the new navigators here. Don't forget about us!
- This is a mine that produces ore used in space development. We think one
of the large Mechaniloids working here has gone Maverick.

Iris
- Zero... did you come to save me?
- Please don't fight against him! This must be some kind of mistake!
- Yes... I know... But I wanted to believe it! ... I wanted to live in a world where only
Reploids exist...... with you.

Dynamo
- So it's simple. Give up the Nightmare Soul and go back!
- Nice to meet you. You are X, aren't you, the famous persistent
hunter.
- Nice to see you again. Did you miss me?

Gate
- ... What happened? I heard they avoided the collision... ...but they might as well have
failed... And for this, we should be thankful? This is not all... something else is going to
happen. I feel uneasy.
- Will humans rescue this damaged planet? No. They take refuge under the ground and are
helpless. Only the Reploids can do the work... Fu. Did the Reploids cause this disaster?
They're the ones, are they, X? Ha ha ha.
- Ha ha ha. How strange... You're usually so calm... Don't worry. I had enough experiments
using low Reploids. And that yielded a virus from your DNA. What I should do now is... to
destroy the disgusting original body!

Flame Mammoth
- Bwah hah ha! There's nothing I love more than stomping weak
little blabbermouths like you into dust!
- Sigma must be as crazy as you say. He keeps talking about how you
are the future of Reploids. Can you believe that, X?
- Hua hua hua...so you've arrived...let's get started!

I'll definitely have to try some of the voices. One question, do you want people to try and imitate previous VA's, or do you want them to try their own style?

I'm a bit intrigued. Should I ever get a chance, I'll try something. My voice hasn't even fully cracked though, so I'll probably sound terrible.

People can try to imitate, or do their own style. Just state that in the email you send.

I might give it a shot, though my voice is kinda rusty from drinking all that soda. . damn acid. Anyways, I just got one question:

Can we do as much as different voices we want and as many characters we want to try out?

i might try Axl, i have that highish, almost frighteningly childish voice, something that Axl is kinda known for with how old he is since his creation, either that or Dynamo, cause i can work a multitude of different voices... though they may sound forced, it's due to i'm natually high pitch in terms of microphone/phone voice, so i'm trying to force my voice to naturally set itself lower than what it can go to now, higher is easier, but lower is a pain in the neck so far

Weeee! Voice acting! Pallette and Iris are looking nice for me... :} Sad thing, I don't know if I can imitate that accent. >_< And I'm so uber shy.... I'd have to break that habit or else. =(

Wow this seems pretty interesting! I'll think about trying this out. I'm assuming we need high quality mics for this?

Might be getting a web cam for X-Mas with a speaker, if I do I guess I'll try Axl and Vile. Axl because my voice is a little high pitched but still has a little manly ring to it as well. Vile because I can make my voice sound really throaty if needed. By the way if I do audition for Vile it will be an attempt to do the Ruby Spears Vile...not similar to the actual voice for Vile in the games unless it's absolutely neccasary.
