The same team's been working on one for Mega Man 8, yeah... I don't think it's done yet, though.
I was impressed by how easily 7 seemed to fit into the classic 8-bit mold, though. I liked the original fine as it was, but having the 8-bit versions of 7 and 8 (and maybe they'll do Mega Man & Bass too?) to fit between 6 and 9 is a neat idea.
Let's talk about Mega Man 7. Shall we?

I actually think Megaman 7 is really ok to me. But more importantly, One of bad voice actors in Megaman 8 that's whats causing a bit of problem

I've enjoyed MM7.
But it would be the second to the last on my list for many number of reasons.
For once, the graphics looked nice but the controls were slow. The jump button never did me any justice in the game.
I did enjoy the storyline of the game, and it's the only MegaMan game I have never beaten. Dr. Wily's capsule was too hard for me to beat.

Mega Man 7 is nowhere near as bad as some people make it out to be. The bosses were ok and the enhancements were great. My favorite boss was Beast Man.

LONG LIVE THE MEGA MEN!
