Hajime half lumbers through the door, almost catching the majority of the receptionist recapping what was going on at the bridge in Canada to an avian-type Hunter who looked like she wasn't fully part of the militia. She looked like she was hesitating, almost like she was withholding some important information she didn't want the Hunter to know about; the Hunter, herself, looked like a wreck, seeming to suggest she was on a different assignment that kept her from getting involved with the more urgent situation.

He contemplated wanting to help relieve some of the physical stress the avian Hunter had gone through, but by the time the receptionist had finished signing her in she was already heading down the hallway, hopefully to the infirmary. He decides it best not to bother her and continues towards the desk, where the receptionist had turned her attention towards him with equal concern.

"Well, it looks like you've also had quite a day," she mutters, seeming to notice the slump in his shoulders and minor fatigue disfiguring his eyes, "I suggest you come back later when you're more active."

Hajime sighs and sluggishly rubs the back of his head, "I'm fine. I just need something to eat that's all."

The receptionist seemed unsure but sighs in defeat, feeling she shouldn't question the motives of a human and hands him a clipboard, "Okay then. Just make sure you don't overtax yourself; we've already got enough problems rectifying that last human fiasco a week ago."

"I know; I'll be careful," Hajime said as he scribbled his name onto the "volunteer" section of the sheet.

[Bane from Ride Chaser Garage]

Bane made his way to the Front Desk rather quickly... he wanted to make sure everything was set for tonight and he had no time to waste as he just bypassed the desk and nodded when the Receptionist looked up, and she signed him back in without saying another word.

Bane also noticed Hajime there and simply stated "Hey there..." as he made his way out of the area.

Hajime looks towards Bane as he greets him quickly before continuing on his way to the hallway, most likely in the direction the avian Hunter disappeared to. He decides not to ask as he finishes signing his name and heads off towards the visitor's lounge, deciding to hang out there and rest while keeping tabs on what little newscasts remained to catch footage of the situation at the bridge.

Kate walks in from [Recovery Room]. She walks up to the front desk, hesitant to ask what she'd been wanting to ask for a month.

"Umm..." she says as she looks at the receptionist. "Can I help you?" the receptionist asks. "um...nothing" Kate says. She simply hangs back and just stands there for now.

[From Outside the Hunter Base]

Helios walked into the base. A Reploid guard approached.

"We're in a state of emergency. We can't allow visitors right now."

"Wait," said another Maverick Hunter soldier. "I remember seeing that guy here last week. Didn't you help out with the fire in the base?"

"Yes, that was me," Helios replied. He had expected a holdup, so he wasn't surprised about this. It was still nice to see that he was remembered. "And I'm here with important information for your commander."

"Well, guess we'll let you through, then," the first guard said reluctantly. Even though it wasn't much, it sounded like the red-haired Reploid could be trusted. He seemed still suspicious of the visor-wearing Reploid, but didn't say anything else.

Helios gave the two soldiers a nod before approaching the desk. He noticed a young woman standing there. His eyes glowed briefly under his visor before fading. Her aura; it wasn't pure Reploid. Was she yet another cyborg involved with the Maverick Hunters in some way...?

Kate noticed this newcomer, she sensed he was someone important. "Umm..." she began, but again fell quiet.

The girl near the desk seemed timid. He didn't know her story, and was hesitant to get nosey. But a brief conversation couldn't hurt, especially now that she spoke.

"Yes? Do you need something?" Helios asked, not sure of what to say in this situation.

[Trip Dering]

Kate realized he was talking to her. "I... um, would like to j-join the h-h-hunters..." she said meekly. She pulled out her Plasma Rod hilt and showed it to him. "I'm able to fight... I've already did some training."

[OmegaMan]

"Huh...?" Helios asked. He was surprised by this. "I'm sorry, but I can't help you there. I'm not a Maverick Hunter, so I can't personally vouch for you."

Helios wondered about the girl's determination. She seemed rather shy. Was she actually confident in her abilities? The crimson-haired Reploid was unsure of this.

"Under the current circumstances, I am not sure how you would be able to apply for Huntership, unless they are willing to send you on a mission."

[Trip Dering]

Kate hung back, listening to the Reploid. "A mission? ...I g-guess I could d-do one... ... ...yeah, I can go on a mission!" Kate's tone changed instantly. Here was her chance to finally prove herself and maybe defeat some Mavericks in the process.

(Ooc: OM can you be the receptionist for me?)

The receptionist Reploid blinked for a moment and stared with a brief, questioning gaze.

"I cannot speak on behalf of the higher-ups, but perhaps if you go to the briefing room..."

"Well, I'm headed there right now," Helios spoke up. "I don't see why she couldn't accompany me. I'm sure there's not any harm in volunteer work in a mission if she's capable."

[Trip Dering]

Kate thought for a moment... The briefing room? She had already been there once. Well, there was no harm going back. "Alright... I'll follow you there," she told Helios.

[OmegaMan]

"Well, I can't give you any guarantees," the receptionist said. "Mind your manners in the Command Center."

"I don't think there's going to be any question of that," Helios spoke up. "We should go now; I've got important information for the Commander. It's not much, but it should be something," he said as he pulled the disc out of his pouch and held it upward. The crimson-haired Reploid put the data disc back in his pouch and began to walk towards the hallways.

RE walks up to the front desk slowly, holding her arm behind her back. She looks at the clerk nervously, going over her question in her head.
I just have to ask if I can apply. She remembers. She swallows nervously and approaches the desk.
".....E...Excuse me...." She stammers. She looks at the clerk.
"I was wondering...if I could apply to be a....a maverick hunter." She asks quietly.
The clerk looks up at her skeptically. He sighs.
"Name please?" He requests. RE shuffles nervously and checks the inscrption on her wirst.
"RE-Animated." She answers softly. The clerk does a search on her. "I don't have any records on you." He tells her. She fidgits.
"I just want to help out...." She says simply. The clerk sighs and hands her a form.
"Fill this out and return it to me." He instructs. RE bows, thanking him. She takes the form and sits down on a chair, filling it out.
Re finishes filling out the form and reviews it carefully. She had answered all the questions as best as she could. She sighs and takes it over to the clerk.
"Excuse me...I've finished the form...." She tells the clerk. The clerk looks up at her, nods, and takes the form, looking it over. She nods a few times, jotting down a thing or two on it. She hands it back to RE and says, " Okay, I'll go ahead and let you take this to Signas to talk to him about allowing you to join. It's not a garuntee tha you'll be allowed, but it's a possibility."
RE bows and thanks the clerk, heading out of the hall.

Hajime enters the front desk after trekking through the hallways leading to and from both the Command Post and the rest of the base. Much like the rest of the base, the area has also been cleaned of personnel with a note on the front desk claiming to be "closed for renovation".

He wanted to stay behind and help the rest of the remaining Hunters fix their electronic problems, but knows he has already caused enough problems. Besides that, he was due for some personal time anyway after the hustle he had gone through keeping an eye on X during his moments of despair. He contemplates going back to Giga City and seeing how everything has been since he last left, though, considering what he overheard, the Feds monitoring the area may already be raring to get involved, making the trip nothing more than a waste of money. Still, it wouldn't hurt to check.

With that in mind, Hajime heads out of the base, heading in the direction of Abel City's airbus terminal.

Kate returned to the front desk and looked around. Still dark. She decided not to hang around, and instead made her way back to the Command Center.

Shakan'ti entered the Great Hall a short while later, his thoughts on getting outside. He looked around, and could just spot the exit door. Making his way there, he pushed through and strode out into the open air. "OUT... NOW. WHAT?" He spoke out loud, then, as if some force decided for him, he boosted to one end of the courtyard and turned around, rapidly accelerating himself and launching into the air. He gained some height and then headed off into the darkness.

Requiem entered the MHHQ and took a deep breath. He was finally here--the place he had dreamed of entering.

"Requiem reporting for duty!" he announced handing out his ID to the female attendant.

"A medic, are you? Welcome!" she said cheerfully as she scanned the ID and returned it to Requiem. "You are completely new here?"

"Yeah." Requiem replied just as cheerfully. "May I ask who is in charge here?"
