Sorry if I should be posting this suggestion to a certain topic, but I just want to ask if it is possible for members to have profile songs? Like we can upload a music file and have it playing on our profiles D=

I think it would be fine as long as the playlists aren't infinite. Three to five songs top in my opinion.

There is a forum that my friend goes to, it's also an IPB forum and they use this for the profile music. It says its free D=

This is the forum. You can just click on random profiles, not everyone in the forum knows how to put music on.

They actually use sites such as Fileden to link the song into the profile.

Could you possibly ask someone on the board how they did it exactly? I'm guessing it's a custom profile field, but if they could help out that would be great. Also worried about copyright infringement stuff considering anyone could have anything.

Perhaps a link to one song would be best in my opinion. Sort of have it like a "theme song" idea of each user when others browse their page. Since it's one, it wouldnt be rough on the server. I also wouldn't worry about copyright. The internet is so warped with it, no big corporation would notice it in a profile here. Though it all depends on where it's linked from and if its from one of the file hosting companies out there, then it would actually fall on their shoulders if something with a heavy copyright was posted. They're the enablers.

I'd love it if we could implement profile songs, but I agree with Mac. It should only be one at a time, and we'd need to be careful where we hosted the songs. This one time, I convinced my 19-year-old nephew to put "I'll Make a Man Out of YOU" on his MySpace, in front of all his friends. Every time he loaded his page he'd hear

Anyway, I've just uploaded the Music add-on!

You can edit your mp3 link by going to My Settings->Profile->Change Profile Information->Music Info which will be at the bottom.

Guys I'm basically computer illeterate and don't have myspace so how exactly do I put the music into my profile? I tried copy pasting the url and embbed links from a youtube video and nothing happened (figured maybe it would convert to music.) I'm not trolling I sincerely don't know how to do this. Someone help please?
