This Force Metal mine is essential to the Maverick Hunter's efforts in keeping the peace in the sector.

Xuzoka beamed down on a desolate quarry, where it seemed to be devoid of workers. But he could confirm the buried mining shaft immediately.

"Testing... Xuzoka, can you read my frequency well?" Alia, his Operator asked.

"Loud and clear." He said. "I'm beginning the mission." He started to dash over to the shaft when suddenly the ground below him collapsed and he fell into chilling water. It was an enormous underwater cavern! This could mean the entire facility went under!

From deep below, a red tentacle extended and wrapped itself around one of the spires, dragging themselves up was Launch Octopus! Impossible!

He brought himself to the flat top of the Spire, as Xuzoka landed on another.

"Launch Octopus! How!? You were destroyed by X nearly a hundred years ago!" Xuzoka responded, both to Alia and to his enemy.

Launch Octopus stood posture. "I've returned to sculpt the Sea in my image! Won't it be grand?"

"Grand?" Xuzoka asked, putting his hand into a fist. "You cut off shipping lanes!"

"And?" Launch Octopus showed no remorse. "It doesn't matter now that Sigma is gone." This shocked Xuzoka, meaning this copy or clone was educated. "Besides, the ocean will be even more magnificent once I sink this island!"

Xuzoka attached his cannon to his arm, charging. "You're not going to sink this island!"

"Xuzoka, try electric-based attacks if you have any!" Alia shouted back over the com

R ported in from outside, along with PSi and Juno. He immediately ran in. He ran through the mine normally, until he found a hole in the ground of the shaft.

[Vérité]

Juno teleported in with Psi to see R fall down a shaft. When she dashed to follow the shaft closed. She cursed, but then realized the Mining shaft had caved in. She moved over to it with quick intent. She could hear tapping inside as workers defended themselves from berserk mechaniloids.

"R, status?" Alia asked.




Launch Octopus dashed through the water knocking Xuzoka off his feet. Then he kicked Xuzoka farther away and launched homing missiles.

"Ugh... Fine, except that I'm soaked..." R said. He moved through the water, and in another room, found a fellow comrade, Xuzoka, and a Maverick whom he knew all about, due do being created shortly before they made a bunch of Files. R yanked out his Blaster, and shot the missiles, exploding them before they got close to Xuzoka.

Psi teleported and saw Juno run towards the shaft, he ran over to where she was standing and asked her "So we're here on a rescue mission after the workers, correct?" He grabbed his Beam Sabre and held it in his right hand.

"Yes! We need to clear this Entrance." She told him, charging her buster. She fired, then all of a sudden they were lifted off their feet as water poured out of the entrance, soaking them and sending several meters back.


"A new hunter here for his demise?" Launch Octopus twirled around, creating a whirpool Sucking them both in. Xuzoka lost his cannon in the fray, so he started his Hyper Mode.

"Shooting Star-Engage!" His armor transformed; Now shining. A goggle with three red heat sensors moved in place over his eyes, he could now sense where Launch Octopus and the missiles could be without having them hit.

"Try this!" Xuzoka fired his cannon that had reformed on his shoulder as it charged halfway.

R appeared behind Launch Octopus and held his Blaster to his back, firing a charged beam of energy at him to cripple him so he can't move, then he swam away.

Psi got up after being thrown back by the burst of water, he managed to hold on to his sabre. He looked around for the female hunter and saw she also got knocked back by the burst of water, Psi walked towards where she landed "Are you ok?".

[Vérité]

The blasts only agitated Launch Octopus, but the whirlwind seemed to twirl R backwards and up to the ceiling where he collided with it. Now, 7 homing missiles at once seemed to appear out of nowhere, all bearing a "Z" on them.

"I'm fine." Juno said wiping her face of the water. "We need to search for survivors," pointing to the two reploids that fell through with the water were pursued by two preons... "Wait, what?" Juno fired a shot at one of the Preons which knocked it over.

Psi activated his sabre and ran towards the preon that was left, he slashed him in half and shut down his sabre "The mavericks are only going to make it tougher..."

R hit the ceiling, and it didn't damage him a bit. He stayed in his position to forge a plan.

[Vérité]

Xuzoka started to charge his weapon.. If he could get it fully charged, this would be done with.

"R, distract him!" Xuzoka yelled over the communicator as the missiles came firing at Xuzoka.

"But where did Preons come from? I thought the rebellion was shut down!" She dashed inside to see a whole squadron of them firing,

R finished his plan, and aimed for one of the pipes that brought fresh air down, and he shot the biggest one. Water started draining out of the room, and R placed his Saber in the ground relevantly close to the pipe. He then shot the first missile, exploding all the ones behind it.

"Rebellion?" I haven't managed to catch up on much of the recent history... I should have read more. Psi saw Juno dash towards the shaft and followed her inside only to find a large squadron of the preons who most likely ambushed them by accident Oh shi- Psi immediatley dashed to the side behind a large rock, grabbing Juno in the process and getting her behind the rock as well "Those are a LOT of preons".

Xuzoka continued to charge, a large blue aura now starting to appear around his cannon. He saw all the missiles explode as the room drained.

"Whoever you are." Xuzoka yelled to R. "Get out of here, because my final blast will be messy! There's en exit below that leads up to the surface!"

Launch Octopus was about to use his tentacles to leap..

Behind Psi and Juno, another slide from R's draining caused the cave entrance to collapse again. Psi and Juno were now trapped inside the mine!

R lurched forward, with the air sending his Saber through the air which he caught, and cut off Launch Octopus' Tentacles, and impaled his leg. He ran through the door in the wall to go assist the other two. He had no faith in Xuzoka's attack, but he had to save Juno and PSi, as he had put their lives in danger.

"Ah crap!" and now we're trapped in here Psi took out his Buster Rifle and hooked up his sabre to the front of the rifle and activated his sabre " I think I can take out a lot of them but it'll take some time"

[Vérité]

Launch Octopus had been heavily crippled. His bouyancy/pressure system failed from the attack. Then he saw Xuzoka.. "You think you can still defeat me?"

Xuzoka laughed. "This blast will erase you from existance."

Launch Octopus started to edge towards him. "Master Z did not intend this! No!"
Xuzoka let the attack rip Launch Octopus to shreds...

Juno used her heat-shade effect with the scimitar and got two in one hit. She could see that the mine lurched down into more water..

(OOC: I got it, but in the X Series, all mines seem to have doors, so he just ran out to assist them.)

R ran to the wall and jumped his way up the wall. He eventually reached the top, and activated his stealth in order to stay out of sight of the Preons below. He walked across the wall, and found an area where rocks piled up.

Psi's rifle began to charge energy "As soon as the rifle is charged I'm going to fire a pretty large blast" Let's hope it won't do any more damage to the mine.
