The Federation had a large presence here, it was obvious. They weren't using military curfew's for nothing. But the Terrorists were getting more desperate. Bombs. Suicides. Hostages...
"And that's why they must die." Price Armani whispered, outside his house in the suburbs. He was wearing a nice pin-stripped suit while sipping some coffee on his house's balcony. It was over-looking the Old Doppler Town In ruin.
He thought about the files he found recently. The Assassins, their enemies, the history... It was too much for him to absorb at once. So he took his time; Read the Codex left and right. He discovered the ways and culture.
But he didn't expect that his Family would've been murdured. In this very house, the lower floor had just caught fire. Price was thinking about what he'd just done while sipping the coffee...
He threw the man to the ground, who struggled frantically and grabbed his dagger again. He pointed it at Price desperately, with a sneer look on his face.
"You touch me! TRY IT! I'm too powerful! You'll join your putanna family!" He threatoned, motioning to the pile of dead bodies to the side.
Price gritted his teeth and held out his wrist. Suddenly out of nowhere, something ignited. A wristblade made of pure contained plasma. He swiped the dagger into pieces, then exacted his anger out on the killer. He put his hand on the neck of his Wife's killer, then plunged his plasma blade into the Killer's throat until they stopped squirming.
He took one last sip as the house started to collapse. He threw it down, along with his old identity. He climbed down from his balcony and started to walk away calmly as the house burned down.
He had a list. 5 Names. 5 People who are responsible. 5 people who will die.

In distance, Omicron sped into view. It had taken him a relatively short time to get to New Hera. Probably no more than an hour. He knew shortcuts, and the Noire Mk. I could handle off-road excursions. He had pretty much taken a straight line from Abel City to New Hera at the highest possible speed the vehicle could go.
By now, however, a group of people, including the same news team from earlier, civilians, and a small squad of Maverick Hunters were surveying the burnt building. Omicron slowed down when he got close and parked his chaser a block away from the crowd. Omicron made his way to the squad of Maverick Hunters and showed them his license.
"So what's the story with the fire?" Omicron asked.

[...I need Borgia Saiban approved, now]

Omicron rolled his eyes at the figure who didn't notice he was holding his identification up.
"I'm Detective Omicron," he replied, holding his I.D. up some more. "I've been investigating a string of murders for years now, and I was wondering if this fire may be related. I'm desperate for a lead."
The I.D. showed his codename, Omicron. His human name, Isaac Monteric, was also listed. By his photographic was a symbol which denoted Honorary Hunter Status for solving several other cases in the past.
"Of course, this could have been an accident, but one shouldn't immediately rule out arson."

The One in charge immediately started pulling the red tape, keeping reporters away from the scene.

He turned to the Hunters who were regulating the crowd.
"How many people were in this family?" he asked while digging further into the debris.

As the rubble was uncovered more a man in a fancy suit surfaced, where he had a bleeding wound in his neck from a plasma-based weapon. It didn't add up to the other wound.
"That's not the father..." The Chief said.

"Oh bother... Look at this." The Chief said, finding an ID card. It had the man before them's Picture on it, but then all it had were tons of binary coding, and several other types of coding. He scratched his chin, trying to decipher the binary.

"Whoever this guy was," Omicron said, "He may have been the culprit. But if he's dead then..." Omicron paused. It was an absurd thought. An unlikely scenario. Yet the evidence pointed to it. "Then someone got away." And yet why would they not be here explaining the story to the authorities?
He would have to contemplate this scenario a bit more. He waited for the Hunter to decipher the binary to see if this man's identity could be revealed.

"Eden...?" Omicron asked aloud. "I'm just as in the dark as you are. Is that all it says?" Omicron quickly noted the word "Eden" in his terminal, just to be safe.

"I need to steal the body before they get their forensics on it..." uttured the white-robed person, who seemed to radiate a hint of danger.
They took one last glance at the house and proceeded around more buildings to get closer.
The Chief didn't notice, as he wasa facing Omicron. "Well, I'm a Detective if you haven't noticed yet. The one in charge of the case, actually... Perhaps we can work together?" He asked Omicron..

As he was speaking he noticed movement. He could have sworn he saw someone sneaking towards the burnt house from behind other buildings... Omicron didn't mention anything. He kept his eyes open for anything while listening to the Chief.

He brought up a large pellet in his hand. a Smoke bomb. He held it up above the crowd, preparing to smash it on the concrete side-walk..
Posted 06 December 2009 - 01:36 AM
"What the...? NO! STOP!" he yelled at the figure with the smoke bomb.
