The exactly how I see it. bass' drive to win overdoing it. Even if he were to regret it, I believe he'd do it without thinking about the consequences after.

Because Duo said Forte has justice in his heart, I believe he would never give the final blow even if he was winning against Rock.

He would probably hesitate and then come up with some excuse as to why he didn't finish it.

Something along the lines of:

"Ha ha, Rockman bow down before the greatest Robot on earth. Now that I have proven to be the strongest there is no need to continue this..."

Or whatever, but Im pretty sure Forte would never KILL Rock.

Its true. even by the ZERO series they are sparing X getting killed because children would cry at having to kill their hero.
the ZERO SERIES! The games which have BLOOD SPLATTER from enemies when they get slashed in half! If they are going on about being child friendly with the hero by then, then can you imagine in the series explicitly AIMED for children? (and then there's the way that SAR is the disowned redheaded stepchild)

Yes. Megaman is all about death. when people think of the classic series, they think of death. You even get flashy death effects.

But in all semi-seriousness, I'm not saying anything regarding them showing Megaman's death, its that because of yours and Gekkou's posts, it sounded to me like even proposing a what-if scenario and debating it is pointless in the end because we must think about the children or somethin. At this point, I think that's a mistake on my part.

When I say that bass is capable of killing megaman, I don't mean where Megaman is down on a knee and bass prepares his monologue and all that. In a case like that, I agree with what someone else suggested in that he would probably come up with an excuse and be done with the fight.

When I think about it, I think about them preparing some final charged shot, bass' shot reigns supreme and it kills megaman leaving bass sitting there while the thought of killing megaman along with the regret slowly seeps into his mind. That's the way I'd ever figure Bass destroying megaman. If it were to happen it'd be just like how its always depicted in the games: Fast and unexpected

Would bass seriously destroy Megaman? I say yea, if he doesn't keep up with Bass. Just like the gameplay.

I don't know for certain whether or not Bass would actually destroy Mega Man if he had the chance.

If he would, then he'll never get the chance, because Mega Man killed himself in Mega Man V. :awesome:

I agree, and Bass probably acknowledges this. Which is why Rock would have to keep up his winning streak because bass would be trying so hard, he might accidently destroy Rock should he ever slip up.

Yeah I agree as well...Rock Man has a purpose to attach himself to, whereas Bass is just selfish/conceded and want's recognition.

There is no such thing as robot heaven.
Too much is just enough.
MMX2 is the greatest.

ProtoMan said it best when he discussed this with Bass. Rock has something to fight for, peace for others. He has only himself to fight for. That extra 'leverage' is not present within Bass, instead is replaced by a programmed selfishness for combat with Rock.
